In light of our potential receipt of digital coins/tokens at some point in the future, what trading platforms are people aware of that accept both? I’m with II and whilst the funds went in fine, they were less clear on the acceptance of the digital coins - I think the answer will be no.
apologies.just reread my 11.50 post on monday and it should,of course, have read "$6.06 us per share", not a share of $6.06m. hope this didn't confuse anybody.
Still waiting, I'm also with the Halifax
sorry to hear you are still waiting. obviously my assumption that all would have heard by now was unwarranted. can't understand why they are making such heavy work of it.when all is said and done, apart from the crypto aspect which is unusual,it's really just a cash payment from a to b. with some contingent payments, which is quite common. perhaps im missing something though.
I'm with Halifax share dealing and haven't had the first payment.
Am I the only one stil waiting for the first payment? I’m holding my shares via CS and they keep on telling me to know nothing (but maybe they are from Barcelona… (grrr)).
morning wall and floor.if you look back to horses gob's post on the 30th jun he has posted a copy of the info he had from lloyds, which sets out matters fairly clearly. in essence we have had an initial payment of $6.06m us pro rata to our holdings.so you should have received the appropriate amount relative to the number of shares quoted by you. the payments have been made at different times by different platforms/brokers,but it has been a while since anyone said they were still waiting for payment,so i expect you've had yours by now,so check with your provider.next we are due a pro rata share of $5.7m us to be paid after the anniversary of the deal (30th march 2023). this will be subject to certain possible deductions for the contingencies against which those funds have been reserved,so not a lot probably at end of the day .finally(and this is the big unknown) if napster launch the new proposed token by the 30th march 2023,we will get a percentage of the tokens issued ,again pro rata to out holdings.if they don't launch by then we get a share in $25m us instead (so a more significant amount). the problem for some may be if they do launch the token (and my view is that they will, but that is just my personal opinion based on algorand's activities in the crypto sphere) then it's down to whether individual holders platforms, which don't have a crypto dealing facility, can accommodate the issue of tokens to ensure we don't lose out (if the crypto are launched there will be no cash alternative). HL,my own platform,is currently looking into this. so in my view the outcome is a bit better than we might have hoped before delisting, and depending on what happens with the crypto,it may be even better, but still,im afraid, not the best investment i have ever made! hope this helps
Hi all HELP !!!!! this whole investment has totally frazzled my brain and totally lost me ,my accounts have been updated and iv now got 148 shares with av cost of £5438.p ???????
and another 16 shares with av cost £2786p
all these were originally brought around the 5/7p a share ,
and now these tokens are coming out , haven't a bloody clue what's going on , can any one basically explain in easy terms please , are we f?d or is there hope thanks
morning albert.hoped you liked it.not everyones cup of tea,but i like the energy(no longer having much of my own lol)they are american actually i think, but irish affiliations.not sure nigel kennedy would be pleased with the comparison,ha ha,but i get what you mean.not actually impatient as we know the ultimate time scale re the cryptos, but yes it is a bit frustrating having to wail for months.anyway back to youtube!
Are you getting impatient while we wait Italian? LOL. Digging up stuff I've never heard of.
Irish name but Scottish roots by the looks of.
Actually I was listening The Great Kat again who you introduced a while back. A bit like Nigel Kennedy on steroids but good stuff.
Not much more to say about the Stones. Proper music, still touring, and still legions of fans - speaks for itself.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdscs1x79rc evening albert. off topic and whilst we wait for news. best version of fields of athenry I've heard .not for the purists but ok for the over 70s. reminds me a bit of when i saw the stones in brighton in the early 70s.not in the same league of course, but energy wise on a par for audience reaction.
Greetings Italian and thanks for the link, very interesting indeed.
Agreed, I always found Scaramucci an interesting character and was very surprised when I learnt of his involvement in Skybridge and Algorand.
Incidentally I read the other day that one of the 'top architects for Cardano', John Woods, has left to join Algorand as Chief Tech' Officer and also unrelated news that Algorand has formed a partnership with FIFA (from Coindesk Business, 12 July).
There does seem to be a huge amount of money pouring into the space and some very smart people too but where this leaves us with the Naps-Algorand connection only time will tell. For me, the Naps money was dead anyway so anything I do get will go into the crypto space, where there’s life there’s hope and all that! We are deep in a bear market so it’s a great time to enter.
That being said, many seem to agree that 99% of coins and tokens are going to zero which is why personally I only ever play in the top 10-15. I believe Algorand has fantastic potential as does also perhaps Solana, Cardano, Ethereum etc and of course the grand daddy of them all Bitcoin.
Ticktock will tell, as ever.
Anyhow, best of luck to all.
Thanks Italian so wait and see I guess how this plays out. Hopefully no tokens and just pay out or will
Get complicated looking at highlands post.
Received more
Whilst still well down nice to have recouped around a quarter of my investment which I had just about written off!
have a look at highlands post on 9th june.prorata share of $7m from escrow and shareholders fund.no doubt this is subject to some sort of clawback provision, but due at end of 12 months from deal.then if $napster token issued by 30th march 2023 we get a 6% plus share of tokens.if not issued,we get prorata share of $25m instead.problem for some may be cryptos issued but we can't get then,as then no share in the $25m
Got a real shock today seeing a payment had gone into my HL account. Not done any trades for a while so no reason to check. Whilst it was a pleasant surprise still well out of pocket. Anybody got any idea on the 3 deferred payments and how much and how will these be paid. I see a mention of cryptos which I’ve never dabbled in before!
Thanks in advance.
and greetings to you trousers.very interesting what you say and here is a link to an articlehttps://www.cryptoglobe.com/latest/2022/01/algo-skybridge-capital-founder-calls-algorand-the-google-of-crypto/ not sure how this may tie in with the napster token but no doubt all will be revealed in the fulness of time. i remember Scaramucci very well and his, shall we say, short lived term as DOC. fairly safe to say that he came across as someone not exactly lacking in confidence. possibly too much his own man to co-exist in the trump universe.
Greetings Italian, I am still researching this but I do know that Skybridge Capital (which is run by Anthony Scaramucci, ex White House Director of Communications) is planning a 250 million $ Algorand fund, with 100 million already raised, as of 19 September 2021.
The following article from fintechsdotfi
''Anthony Scaramucci’s SkyBridge Capital is planning to start $250 million Algorand fund, with $100 million already raised.
SkyBridge Capital recently announced at its annual SALT Conference that it had filed an application for a crypto-related exchange-traded fund (ETF) to expand its offerings. Additionally they are planning to start an Algorand fund capped at $250 million.
Algorand (ALGO) is a self-sustaining, decentralized, blockchain-based network that supports a wide range of applications. These systems are secure, scalable and efficient, all critical properties for effective applications in the real world.
At the time of writing, ALGO is the 18th largest crypto asset by market cap and trades for $2.08, with 4.8% profits on a daily chart.
SkyBridge Algorand fund
The founder of Skybridge Capital, Anthony Scaramucci, who is also a former Whitehouse Communications Director, told CNBC that $100 million had been raised for the recently announced Algorand Fund. Scaramucci also mentioned that Skybridge’s total investment in crypto is currently worth over $700 million, and growing''. ENDS
Best of luck to all.
In my senile state I am unaware whether or not I can retain any interest in the product other than its worth for a final payment.
afternoon albert.agree with all that and there was a great deal of gloating exhortation from a number of posters for people to sell out at the bottom.impossible to say whether it influenced anyone, but would have swayed some people i expect.
They certainly seem to be inspiring confidence. And I thought the initial $6.06 payment was pretty generous under the circumstances
I'm wondering how many of us were still left in at de-listing. Blatant tree-shaking would have thinned the numbers down. Napster wanted as few PI's as possible. Also done for the benefit of N & G who pretty well dictated their own terms and continued to pick up cheap shares until the end.
interesting trousers. whilst i wouldn't normally contemplate getting involved with cryptos, nfts etc,i think this may be one occasion where, if we fail to get the cryptos (whether because they don't issue in time so we get cash, or because technical platform difficulties prevent some of us being able to receive them), i may regret not getting involved. i just sense that this could be a very attractive proposition.just my superficial opinion,of course.
Eric Wragge, a former managing director at JP Morgan with 21 years tenure at the bank has joined the Algorand blockchain project as head of business development and capital markets.
Coindesk Business News.
https://cryptodaily.co.uk/2022/07/napster-to-launch-token-on-algorand i think this gives a little more information as to how it is going to work.apologies if it.is not adding anything to what has been said already ,but it seems to me to put a little more flesh on the bones.
With the app now having been completed, I agree AM's work is now done. Although like us he is still a shareholder.
World events have hit the markets, crypto/NFT in particular , and I think rules and regulations still lie ahead.
But the malaise won't last forever, and technology is always going to be an ongoing development.
morning albert.well you may well be right.i certainly agree about algorand meaning business.not so sure about AM being involved.tbh i hope not.he may have had the technical expertise to put the initial mvr offering into being and the productions from ally pally etc ,were always of good quality, but i think he would be out of his depth now with this lot.lovell obviously has the right background and credentials for certain aspects of the new proposed incarnation, but am and sh, not so sure?.could be completely wrong of course.anyway it's an interesting development. one commentators remarks about the recent run of bad news for crypto and the NFT market possibly making this a good time now to be getting back into it, did resonate with me.
