“..it is entirely possible they will miss guidance for reasons outwith their control. It can and has happened before here and to other companies. At this early adoption stage I’d weight it as the more likely scenario.”
Unless very mistaken you are saying that you think it is likely they miss their cashflow breakeven target fo 2025 something that you were telling others off for suggesting..you might have to publish NGR rules as I’m confused what you think is acceptable debate now!!
NGR, apologies my post has had an indirect impact on you.
Quick intro. I've been invested in Nanoco since 2013 and lurked in the shadows of this board for years. I wanted the Samsung settlement to be $1 Trillion as I had eyes on buying Necker Island, but it was a positive outcome nonetheless. I'm more optimistic for Nano now than in previous years and equally aware of the risks.
If I had been as upset as some are with the SS result, with the Board or with the future of the company I'd have sold and moved on..
The bowler hatted everyman Mr Benn was first seen on television on 25 February 1971. Introducing the cartoon as part of the Watch with Mother strand, the Radio Times said "Every week Mr Benn dresses up and finds himself in a different adventure." Mr Benn was written and illustrated by David McKee, who contrasted Mr Benn's ordinary suburban life at 52 Festive Road with the magical costume shop, and its shop keeper, who would appear "as if by magic".
Mr Benn's first adventure was as a red knight, stepping out of the changing room and into a world where he had to help a dragon. In later stories he variously became a big game hunter, cook, caveman, balloonist, zookeeper, caveman, diver, wizard, cowboy, clown, magic carpet
pete i know that there are some people who have multiple ids, they come and go and occupy both boards but honestly i can’t be ****d half the time with this one and if i did i’m pretty sure my life is so complicated just now i’d make a mess of it. i have a login for advfn but can’t abide the platform and only look in once in a while. it’s easy to post here on lse and the ghostery app means no advertising pop ups.
so believe if you want that i have multiple aliases. i’d prefer you simply believe me when i tell you whoever the new poster xenon here is or nigwit/mega giga half or whatever wit is on advfn is nothing to do with me.
debate and some friendly jousting is fine by me, but crediting others for my work ****es me off!
i hope you take this in the spirit intended.

Kooba I was the one who said the settlement could be much smaller than everyone seemed to predict.
Yep thought you would say that …must have been against the overtly positive company narrative of transformational outcome to shareholder value promised!! How come you get to disagree with what the company and their marketing churns out but no one else can ??
TG2D sadly it is entirely possible they will miss guidance for reasons outwith their control. It can and has happened before here and to other companies. At this early adoption stage I’d weight it as the more likely scenario. Once the company has a more mature supply chain and revenue peaks and troughs are smoothed then I think guidance can be trusted much more but the fact is the company is still only just starting out as a commercial producer of materials. If you can’t be pragmatic about that then this isn’t the share for you and all you’re going to do is reinforce your position.
I am not a sock puppet. I am a human being... Some welcome!
Genius. Like there really could be anyone else out there with an alternative view. Can I join your gang if I promise to rubbish this stock and bad mouth the CEO. Please?
Wonder if he will use the same lame excuses next year when cash breakeven miraculously gets pushed to 2026 without any comms just appears on the small print on a trading update.
So moral of the story don't believe any Board comms before events, just after, but if it's next year its still ok, until next year happens when it won't be ok, but dont fret the Board have a consistent track record of transparent reliable behaviour give or take a few hundred million dollars that is and several preferred parties who are so smart with their investment analysis and experience they don't need to have a seat at the Board or an ear to access any gossip or be even be privy to any late night calls which may or may not influence their investment behaviour....jeez...which I was as smart as these instutional investor's and the tricks they get up to lol!
I want the tender offer to be successful, so I'm happy.
The share price was always likely to drop back at some point on the approach to 24p
Kooba I was the one who said the settlement could be much smaller than everyone seemed to predict.
I'm the one saying we are not in AVP.
So I'm not unrelentingly bullish. I'm just not unrelentingly negative.
NGR1616 will be back shortly once he's repaired and dusted down the other sock puppet accounts...
I'm not for one minute suggesting that monkeys are more important than the organ grinder, but I think if we all looked at this from a completely neutral perspective it would be hard to argue that negative sentiment on here wouldn't put off some investors. That is all I'm saying.
My hope is that post tender some or all sell and leave and instead of posts about misguidance, misleading, mistrust, missed guidance, lies etc we can look at the company without prejudice from the litigation clouding perspective.
That will remain my hope because I know it wont happen, at least in the short term. Too many people want this to fail so they can say "told you so" and I'm willing to concede I could have this back to front and that day may come and I'll have to eat humble pie. But currently I'm willing to give the board the opportunity to deliver on guidance.
Just been trying to find a RNS which states when I paid 37p for the placement to kerp BT and crew im a job and get back 24p it would be via a 'discounted' return of value...struggling to find the small print in the RNS, can anyone assist?
Other shareholders asking questions and looking at previous company comms and marketing and assessing the delivery has clearly not put you off being unrelentingly bullish and trusting of the management yet you think others are not as immune to being totally influenced by posters you do not agree with ..it’s odd. The same folk who seem to say that the boards were too bullish and unrealistic on the litigation and that only a few posters (normally themselves!) were cautious on what might pan out ..now want everyone to just accept whatever the latest narrative and marketing dishes out without looking for evidence. Thats odd. If the company disappoints on its commercial ambitions ..would such a cynical line of enquiry not have been the correct approach ..the same approach as those less excitable folk pre settlement.
Funny - that’s exactly what NGR would say - Hold on - he just did!
Thanks. You really think there's only one person out there with different opinions to your own?
Congrats Xen0n (NGR?) on your first post.
@Kooba
Fuilly agree - thinks he's losing it and resorting back to some of his familiar traits.

“No one will be inclined to invest if there are a group of embittered investors pouring scorn on the board on a daily basis. If your objective is to suppress the share you’re winning”
Yes a few posters on a bulletin board is the only valuation tool most investors use , I’m sure Loam and RG relied solely on the posts on here when they were running for the hills pre announced settlement..but hold on the boards were relying on marketing material and company statements then that were all very bullish ..how can that be ??
Blaming shareholders for the share price performance not the management of the company in any way is nonsense. Cherry cake nuts.
It seems that investors words here have more power than those expressed by the CEO according to NGR.
Yet those embittered , disgruntled ones with axes to grind are also supposedly in a minority.
I suppose the truth is always the truth even if you're in a minority of one.
My my, it goes quiet here for days - literally tumbleweed - and then suddenly a volley of vocal messages appear this morning.
If I was cynical I'd suspect some people took a position and now want the share price to fall so they can buy back in... (cough)
I know why there are a group of embittered investors. They got it wrong and can’t see it! 🤗
NGR - Ever wondered why there are a group of “embittered investors”?
