I think what stands out the most for me is that it's the CEO of a £28m pre-production junior throwing in £100k - you normally only see those size of BOD buys on big £5b oilers etc.
I like 50s here as I've said all along - he's obviously going to make an awful lot of money if I'm right.
I agree v nice purchase from Dawes. No one spends that kind of money on a whim. He knows where this is going.
Add in the Minister's comments, and the ML and MDA look nailed on to me. Yes there's the delay and expense as more lawyers scrutinise the MDA but ultimately that's a positive thing. It means the Malawi government are taking their responsibilities to the people seriously and gaining international credibility too. I suspect MKA are paying the fees (the Minister said there was no cost to Malawi in this exercise and the current raise was partly for fees) and MKA would not do this were they not confident the MDA stands up to scrutiny from everyone's perspective. Funding should follow readily imo.
No brainer strong buy imo.
That position definitely respected, many will not touch a mining share while there is no mining license.
I have risk for higher long term return. In my case i see that MDA is coming and that financing will follow. This may not be what actually happens
No need to get FinTwit onboard, the placees will do the necessary once the churn is over and everyone has reset their books ;)
Bought in at 13p this morning; had a good few of these a few years back, always liked the company. Funded, plus director purchase de-risks it for 2023. Atb
Bonkers. We need a swathe of new investors to come in, long termers topping up isn't enough. See what you can muster through twitter old chap, or get Mcnulty to do piece on us even if he has left the room so to speak. Thanks in advance. :)
Morning.
That's a very chunky £100k buy from the CEO - you don't see those size of buys very often, he must be extremely confident ...
The MDA is bound to arrive Malawi can't afford not to issue it... yeah there are internal political issues going on there but you can see with foreign pressure they bend as they have with this anti-corruption minister case... plus Lindian Resources out there spending loads on their RE project- Malawi needs this for its economy
Agreed, nobody invests £100k in a mine they’re not confident will be permitted or funded
Top up time, if its good enough for Will, its good enough for me. Smoke signal that the MDA and funding are moving along nicely.
Hmmm, you should look at all parts of the business. It is not all dependant upon the mining arm. Your choice however. I have been adding in the dips.
Fantastic to see CEO putting in £100k. Good sign of cocnfifidence. Should kick on from here
Directors only get a small window to buy so i'm happy to see he has taken advanatge ahead of finalisation of Songwe MDA
Worth noting that the funding for HyProMag in Germany is now complete AND we’ve increased ownership to 67%. All for a bargain £2.5m
Nov:
“The total cost of the Project is expected to be €6.1 million, of which approximately 60% will be funded by the grants, on the basis that for each €1 spent on the Project by HyProMag GmbH, a further €1.50 contribution can be claimed from the grants. The first phase of the Project includes development of a production facility in Baden-Württemberg State with a minimum capacity of 100tpa NdFeB comprising recycled rare earth sintered magnets, alloy pellets and powders.”
Feb
“This investment by Maginito will contribute to the matched funding requirements to unlock the €3.7 million (approximately C$5.3 million) grants announced by Mkango on November 23, 2022, for development of a production facility in Baden-Württemberg State..”
Nice to see he bought in the open market not in the placing
Bagging a bargain
RNS - IN BLOCK CAPITALS
CEO Will Dawes buys 800000 shares avg 12.85
‘Once bitten twice shy’
Need to see the MDA before investing, been here before without one and it didn’t end well.
Don’t mind paying more for having less risk, just think people should be cautious until the funding is agreed.
Hard to regard the placing itself as a positive, but I do consider the increased investment in HyProMag gmbh as a significant positive, and that is the main use of the funds
I get your meaning "not to put a fine point on it"
A line from the band they might be giants well yes we probably will be giants:-)
not to put too fine a point on it, but it is completely ridiculous to see todays announcement as very positive. perhaps it was meant as a joke
Think today's announcement is very positive most have topped up myself included next few days/months will be interesting and I think profitable.
