You must have noticed that we received a PR for V1 on Monday.... its unfortunately a duster.
Mr gvw121 India is mostly Hindu ;)
For those looking at short term oil pricing / costs until Mongolian refinery built
"Mongolian produce oil process truck through China and sold to Chinese refineries benchmarked to globally traded crude which is about 5% discount to Brent"
"Trucking & operating costs are recoverable under the contract so you get those back" - 12 min 30 sec into video.
https://youtu.be/AzHbQpedtMI
For centuries the mongolians have always clashed with China and are ancient rivals. I just cant see any takeover from PC, if that was the case I think we would also see china help mongolia to build their own oil refinery but India have taken the lead role as they are more religously/culturally alligned through Buddhism.
I think by Christmas time we should see share price start climbing but could be earlier if there is a discovery at V1.
Hopefully fingers crossed we have a good run with the share price.
Mr Doc you may be right & why I do not have strong opinion on this. Takeover target OBVIOUS but is it POSSIBLE?
Ms Vikinglass VERY POSSIBLE be ause if example you give & strategic guarantee of national energy supply.
Also will link video where mr Mike Buck talk about costs for China refinery use until Mongol refinery operational. Speaker of India parliament visit Mongolia last week and main topic refinery with all system go to complete it now
Could the Mongolian Gov take a stake like they have with Rio Tinto's Oyu Tolgoi ?? hence the visit to IoM 😬💰🚀
WOS - I just couldn't see PC being allowed to take over MATD. The MG I can't believe would be OK with it.
Petro China takeover of Petro Matad is OBVIOUS logistic match up. NO QUESTION!
Block XX in between Block 19 & 21 own by PC. Location advantage and easy integration of all facility
BUT
Mongolia want oil for refinery and for strategic energy independence.
DQE already get some offtake for partnership to fast track Block XX but this could go either way.
If Petro China can TAKEOVER Petro Matad they will try but can they? This is Q.
Technical DOJI set up for PRICE REVERSAL. Think will be a HARD one.
Yummy :)
Takeover possibility already mention Mr P
I go through all past interview & RNS because when I choose company to invest must make sure do all background research.
Mr Buck did say obvious party would be someone who is familiar with region & operations & think Petro China was mention BUT did say they would need to pay heavy amount to give fair value of company (not exact word but something like this - interview maybe couple year old).
Probably no news/RNS due to the holiday week 🙂
What a difference a D makes....

….give us the new plan to accelerate Heron and get the Oil flowing….single figure SP is boring us now.
Hush your mouth 😀
Opening ramp package 2.0
Buck could drop Heron update at anytime… if it’s positive and things are starting early I wouldn’t want to be out of this …pants down on the sidelines is not a good look!
WOS has run out of ramps?
As per research note, every 10% increase in Oil price increases Heron NPV10 by US$40M.
Nothings going on here what's happening
Last minute scrambling doesn't bear too much fruit.
If there is a a general belief this will go up 20-30% from nowhere the time to get in is now.
Many have been caught out .
MisterPositive - I wasn't suggesting a takeover would come in, but more that if one did, I think it would be a western company rather than a Chinese one. Absolutely no idea how they'd value it but I'd personally be disappointed with anything less than 15p on a TO, as it stands today, right now.
Very true. MATD makes its move higher without warning as seen many times recently with +20% or 30% rise out of nowhere.
Too many eyes watching this one with next RNS coming anytime just like Thursday last week and people scrambled to get in.
Patience again, could go up in the blink of any eye
Not much volume today (I know it’s early) but looks like everyone is just waiting for further news. I think the talk of takeover is natural but if we continue go down the route of producer then eitherway we will be rewarded.
Interesting point you make on TO by Western Company.
If so, how will they value Block XX now that we got the access rights. Last deal for Block 19 and 21 was when SOCO sold them to Petrochina around 20 years ago for approx $100m after DQE drilled just 2-3 wells and Oil price was quite low.
Similar deal at todays Oil price would be many Multiples of the $100m Petrochina paid 20 years ago.
Doc I hope you are correct I really do
