No, mmafr please don't change or distort the facts. This CEO-liar has been and continues to declare covid as the main cause of all problems for more than 3 years. Even now, he continues to refer to the restrictions associated with it and as the drilling team from China cannot deliver equipment or come to Mongolia themselves to start drillings. He was already lying so much that he even began to contradict himself - why would they come and carry equipment if there is no land access?
@manro,
No need to get personal right away. I was just repeating the facts here and the problem of the local opposition was presented as the main problem at the event. This confirmed exactly what PM constantly claims to be the main reason for the delay. This cause was thus recognized by the journalists and experts present.
Manro, I appreciate of what you said. it must be something else too. It cant be just the locals really.
We need a very strong negotiator. MB needs to be there and change his strategy.
lets hope good news from MPs soon.
mmafr, you write nonsense and are very far from understanding what is happening. Mongolia is not developed Sweden, where the locals can interfere with the central government. But even where local natives are numerous and highly organized, their opinions are often ignored by the government. This is exactly what happened there most recently when the mining company Beowulf was granted an exploitation license, despite all their many and violent protests.
As for the Mongolian aborigines, not only do they not have such rights as to interfere with the central government, but they are so few in number that they are sometimes even difficult to find in this vast desert territory. Therefore, all these games which come down to the one thing only - the ability to negotiate. Got it smart guy?
An uneducated guess, however feel nothings going to happen now until next year. Prepare for the worst, but hoping for the best.
Manro, while I might not like MB/MATD approach/communication, but I don't see why MB wouldn't want to get H1 into production asap. I am still hoping the matter resolved soon and H1 gets going this year.
best,

best,
@Manro, :” Whereas, it could be solved in a few days if he did not lie about government support. But, even without any support, this issue could be resolved, if not in a few days, but at least in a month or two.”
You are completely wrong (and you know it). The problems with the local conditions are by no means only a problem for PM, but for the entire sector. And it is not true that these problems can be solved in the shortest possible time, because this was clearly presented as the biggest problem during the "Mongolian Mining Week 2022" (as posted by curiouserandcuriouser):
https://news.zindaa.mn/4c5y?fbclid=IwAR1KBgJxoFHaykem2xRa6m_xz65TkqitUC30Dd49QlD0fW84fHpCDx8GR2M
The "Mongolian Mining Week 2022" event of the mineral resources sector continues on its second day.
One of the main problems that have attracted the most attention of the industry and are waiting for a solution is the opposition of the local people.
Today, within the framework of the Mongolian Mining Week 2022 event, a meeting will be held to discuss the difficulties faced by local and foreign investors and to determine the way out of them.
Mongolia is 7 hrs ahead of us, could news drop on us tomorrow if it is about the land permits being granted, It will be 2pm their and 7am here. I wonder if the locals are just holding out for a bigger portion of the profits and have come to an agreement, obviously it all depends if what has been posted by activist bears any credence of course. GLA
It's quite strange Hamm, that you suddenly got faith in this swindler who, for all these 6 years, lied all the time. And most importantly, he did not say a word about the land access and was forced to say about it only when the police intervened and suspended all work. It has been 3 years since then and he constantly and without restraint chats about anything, and especially about covid, but not about this main issue, which remains unresolved. Whereas, it could be solved in a few days if he did not lie about government support. But, even without any support, this issue could be resolved, if not in a few days, but at least in a month or two.
But, for this it was necessary to be a real leader and be able to work with people of the country where he was invited to work. After all, worthy leaders are looking for opportunities to achieve their goals, and unworthy ones are looking for reasons to cover up their worthlessness. Unfortunately, all of us, as investors, were unable to recognize either which management we trust with our money, or even whether it is worth doing it in such an unattractive country as Mongolia.
//I am sure he wants as much if not more as us H1 to start production asap.//
I'm not.
weather in Mongolia is getting cold, but MATD still has 4 more weeks to start the workover.
we have no choice but trust MB to save us from this situation. I am sure he wants as much if not more as us H1 to start production asap.
God bless,
Yes she always refers to the XX field as owned by the Canadians. Sorry Hamm, Im so used to her saying that I didn't even notice.
We I suspect Canadians / English /American etc are all just the same to her!
no worries. thanks again.
hope we get some good news as apparently china is starting opening up its boarder.
You'd have to ask her Hamm, I'm just posting the translation of what she wrote. I don't particularly trust google translate to give anything but a basic interpretation though.
what do you mean by Canadian taking over please?
Well, the #CANADIANS are getting ready to take over the new field. After softening the oil, what exactly is left in the Mata bullet???
TIA
EDIT discussed in provincial assembly
Well according to "the activist" block XX in Matad will be discussed in parliament tomorrow. She posted this (along with a lot of puke emojis)
Tomorrow, the Provincial Assembly will discuss the 20th oil field in #Matad Sumand for special state needs. Well, the #CANADIANS are getting ready to take over the new field. After softening the oil, what exactly is left in the Mata bullet???
A reverse stock split, some dilution on that followed by another drop down to the single digits alongside another wasted year of inactivity and excuses would be my guess...
The current SP is the overall market view of what the company is worth factoring in future prospects. End of.
do you think MB is in Mongolia?
Hamm.
Not in Matad unfortunately!!
Bowley, I wish you could have explained a bit more clearly of your experience.
From what you said it means there are lots of interests.
Sounds encouraging.
