i'm loading up again...as has been aluded to already...anything less than a pound is a bargain... lets face it eh...during lockdown everyone drinks more :)
Kind regards
J
The MM will be using this time to load up at low prices and shake the trees across alot of shares.
Hold and wait a bit, company is solid and share price will rise.
keeping an eye on MARS , JDW, RTN, M&B etc ...good times will return..although possibly not until the inevitable February snows and sleat and winter floods have passed through !!
If ever there was a year in which it has become ridiculously clear that the entire Christmas logistics and organisation needs a re-think...then this is it..
It is absurd that a supposedly intelligent species attempts to put together such a mass of activity in travel and shopping etc over such a short holiday period....it really is barmy...
Other countries seem to do things with far,far less panic and absurd bottlenecks of people and goods... especially where they treat the Christmas Day and the arrival of the 3 Kings (Jan 06th) with gifts.... as two separate events ..with two separate national holidays...to go some way towards taking the strain out of the season....
Something has to change as the population grows bigger and bigger and the logistics are put under more and more strain and the expectation of perfection is forever maintained....
Keep Calm and drink Real ALE :-)
That's the thing to bear in mind, relative to a lot of industrial this company will survive and in fact be Inna stronger position.
Looking at the share sales the majority today have been autos with tree shaking and consolidation happen. No point selling until this gets back to the 90's.
At the moment as I have said before in this market one has to think on their feet and it pays to be an active investor.
However even though Christmas is cancelled I am looking forward to Eastmas. I just hope we can retain the total number of outlets where the main Marstons business is now being the on sales, as it may not have been wise to have sold off 60% of the brewery and off sales where the main income was. However even that is now taking a big hit with deliveries affected by freight cancellations. I see the start of the year will now be Eastmas if the Pandemic can get back under control. If it cannot then the forecast is regretfully far more serious.
Claire
in the interests of 'full disclosure' I have just 'taken that small bump' I'm out for a wee little bit and will check in later...have a good day everyone
Regards
jim
Fairdealer...I apologise if my general tone of levity is offensive to you...I just find the vagaries of trading to be quite stressful and a bit of humour helps the day along
The price has already moved up...so patience for our long term bretheren
Kind regards
Jim
YoYoMa, agree, I'll go further, are we living through such a level of incompetence that beggars belief or as many are rapidly thinking, a Grand Plan is in motion to completely change Society and Economies in a way that will make life before Covid appear like Utopia?
Jim, the SP is likely to go lower than predicted. Some may find the gratuitous words somewhat empty when it seems to be a joke in your words.
You are clearly alright, there are 1000's whose expectations these last 48 hours have been dealt devastating news.
Is it a co-incidence MP's and Professionals in London finished work for the holiday on Friday?
Have a thought for those 1000's who are now going to be alone this Christmas. Expect mass deaths, and not through Covid.
I've bought more, price dropped as everyone expected, watch as the funds move in to buy up shares on discount across this and alot of other companies.
Chuckle...the price has just done exactly what we predicted...I'm in...hopefully I won't live to regret it eh ?
But hey ho we have the holidays to get over things
Kind regards
The Jim
Today will be known as the Xmas markets FTSE abattoir ! With the constant late decision making we're always going to be behind the curve ball. When asked about the new strain and evidential proof they replied with the statement of that there is no evidential proof of further damage to human life than already is, yet they alarm the whole country and introduce another crock o'shyte Tier system! I was warming to the ways of handling this but now seems like the whole of EU think we're diseased and carry the pneumonic plague. On a side note I am still saying Wednesday for a EU statement on trading.
So much for the earlier pundits!!!
12% down.. ouch
Not going to be a massive slide...on BBC this morning we woke up to...'the markets are sanguine about recent news'...predicting 1/2% fall overall...all the bad news has already been built in...agree with pastyc floor at about 67 - 68 pence that's where the 'support' seems to be...and lets face it...the future lies with supermarket sales...marstons is still a good investment even at these prices...if it goes down...I'm topping up :)
Kind regards The Jimbo
We’ll soon be in another full lockdown... Get ready after Christmas
Market will get hammered I think.
Mars 67-68p.
I’d imagine the whole market will be down tomorrow & marstons will probably follow
but from marstons perspective tier 4 doesn’t look much different from tier 3 I think
takeaway is still allowed?
Affect us tomorrow anyone? I'm expecting some degree of retrace.
Hi Jim, was the natural flow of the share, it had been tanking all day, and once the buy/sell ratio switched it was going to be a race to the top to avoid losing the lower price. I got in just after 3pm when the turn become apparent.
Best of luck everyone, and hope you all have a good weekend.
I hope it works out for you Daave. Maybe there is some way for you to offload some of your stock to help mitigate some of your issues.
All the best for you.
I confirm that. The owner of that site charges a fortune to be able to view this gossip though.

Betaville released an uncooked alert on Marstons - as of 330pm Friday.
I did actually manage to catch the bounce...surprised myself on that...lately I seem to have 'the kiss of death' just wondering how you realised it was building Claire... Do you have access to level ii ? Just curious is all...kind regards...the jimbo
SP's are ''forward thinking'' and they reflect the situation 12-18 months time. There is every reason to believe things will be good at that time. However, if there is another lockdown next year because of a ''Christmas spike'' then we could be down from here to a new low and then the rise will be a lot slower.
Price rising before weekend
