Yes I still am
Betaville rare alert on Sierra wireless
Now 8 weeks and counting....
At what point does “limited confirmatory due diligence” take 7 weeks and counting....
Today’s RNS confirmation went a long way to de-risking this investment for me (my prior posts summarize my view!)
Given there was no final result during market hours, the volatility was to be expected; the RNS provides the certainty and removes much of the downside risk IMO.
Ps isa-investor, you’re a hero
If DBAY do make an offer, it also releases latronix and ublox from their code obligations to not bid again for 6 months.
Betaville reporting a new US listed firm is circling Telit; and have engaged Barclays as advisor.
Yes, in my last post I forgot they added at 195p so that was the prior min, which was rejected. I struggle to see why the BoD re-opened the discussions without a significant increase from this level ie not an additional 11p.....
The reference to divi etc is pretty standard stuff.
My take on this is that BOD won’t accept 206 (given they rejected 190 last time) and these are just the games.
Question whether BoD would recommend offer at c. 250p, cash.
Putting some numbers around Bybrook, I took a look at their TR1s; from what I can see:
- Bought 5.9m shares between 23rd and 25th Feb
- Bought 5.8m shares between 19th and 22nd Feb
- Bought 19.2m shares before Feb 18th.
Taking the most recent two;
- for the 5.9m, min-max price was was 8.5-12.2
- for the 5.8m, min max was 8-10.5
So it looks like they bought their stake up to 12.2p. We know they didn't sell below the 6% threshold for the 12 trading days after the latest date, as a TR1 would have been released.
So Bybrook are looking for greater than 19.88p (reached on 2nd March); they had the opportunity to sell in the 17-19.88p range between 1st March and 3rd March, but didn't.
I have the same numbers for JPM, but basically the result is the same
- they bought e.g. 5.8m shares in 2 tranches, between 8.5-12.68 in late Feb
- they didn't sell these at the recent early March highs, nor since
I added again today; as I am personally still fine with my investment here & I'm not sure much has changed i.e.
- Bybrook and JPM still in, and didn't sell at the highs, nor since
- Directors buying etc in Feb
When we get an RNS with updates on SOA etc (positive or negative), I'll see what it says.
Other RNSs would be interesting in the meantime; and I am looking out for one over the next couple of days - from the Tuesday buying.
Not investment advice.
My understanding is:
- Under disclosure rules, once they hit 3 per cent and then every percent after that, they have to disclose. For uk issuers, they have 2 trading days to notify.
- 1 percent is 4.75 million shares; so a new II would disclose after around 14m shares bought.
- From yesterday’s buying, at latest, we would see TR1 on Friday before market open if the relevant percent threshold is crossed.
