Why? Not sure. Why do people slow down for car crashes? Just morbid interest in other peoples misfortune I guess.
I remember Darth/Mach lauding Marshall Wace for taking a short position in Lloyds not that long ago. They came unstuck too and funnily enough Darth/Mach never mentioned it again. There have been few few short positions in Lloyds over the years.
Not looking good for Viking Global Investors LP and their 0.61% short, that's a lot of shares
When finished, count how many beans, on average, you stacked in total. Then try to beat your record the next day… do let us all know.
“numbers. I track them. Do you?”
Sad. Get a job.
Stacking shelves? Count how many tin of beans you stack in a day.
“i am a landlord we don’t make buckets of cash”
some re tarded landlords don’t make buckets of cash, agreed. you may be such a landlord. stop being one and get a job!
1. the fact is, most do make lots of cash, without doing any work.
2. you push up house prices.
3. you cripple people with housing costs, the cost of living in a house.
4. you bring countless immigrants to the uk, many illegally.
5. you regard tenants as you free meal ticket.
6. most landlords complain about having to agree to tenant safety.
7. a lot of houses are in poor condition, damp etc. not fit for a dog, which landlords ignore.
8. the list is long… can’t be ****d with rentards on a friday.
Why doesn’t he go and infest an anti-landlord site instead of polluting this BB with his nonsense ? I suspect he might be living at home with Mummy and Daddy still because he’s been booted out of a rental because he couldn’t afford the rent anymore. His bitterness is all too transparent. I implore people not to engage with this one trick pony troll. He feeds off attention and obviously has multiple log-ins to recommend his own posts. He’s made his point about landlords on hundreds of posts now and that seems to garner little approval from anyone else. Jog on indeed Carltt or change the record you boring, monotonous troll.
You are a k#%b
I am a landlord we don’t make buckets of cash
We have to pay for all repairs can’t offset against our tax
Come April o will have put 5 families out on the street due to the persecution of small landlords
So jog on you ftard
Suggest you read the article, digest the numbers and let us know what you think it means for Lloyds’s future results. Fool is correct to highlight the numbers. I track them. Do you?
Ditto! ☺️🍿
No point in you posting then. Have a good life.
“i agree with a huge amount you say carltt.”
i’m not here to agree, or to be agreed with. i’m not here for money. i’ll retire at 60 at the very latest, unless i get bored with being a lazy non-working ****, such as many a typical uk landlord.
landlords are not helping the uk and i’m here to point that out, every single day. landlords monopolised the uk housing stock and forced uk buyers to vastly overpay, for only a few bricks ffs. it’s a scandal.
in this order, putin, bin laden, then blair, then landlord banks, then all landlords are the international scandal of the past 100 years.
imho… dyor.
''Falky
Is your short still open?''
That may depend upon what happens next week. A continue downward movement will mean that he did not close. A sharp upward movement would mean he had already closed today. He has left his options open.
Fakey
''Hopefully will close the position today''
"With" lol . I agree with a huge amount you say Carltt. Not all, but some people are over sensitive, and some just blind.
“ for their family in mind.”
That sounds good on the surface, but, when you think about the Landlord Lloyd’s business model, they are putting Uk home owners under greater pressure, simply by being a landlord. Higher housing costs, higher mortgage costs, higher immigration putting pressure on our NHS, our dentists, roads blocked with more cars…. the list goes on and on as to why this company should fail.
Labour will tax the shyte out of this, IMHO…. DYOR. ☺️🍿
Most Lloyds share holders are doing such for their family in mind.
25% ~ 30% of your council tax is for their pensions.
“A criminal waste of tax payers money which will take decades of someone else's efforts to pay. Alternatively we could call it an incompetent mismanagement of the economy.”
Aka housing benefits. Get a job, landlord. First job, I would be stopping your Uk tax payer’s money, if I was PM.
“There never was any austerity.”
Huh?
Councils are declaring bankruptcy, can’t empty a bleedin’ bin even once per week, can’t build a school to outlast the cardboard box still in my loft a few years, but okay!
@Dumpy
“Weirdos”
How ironic.
“ Funnily enough I took him off filter for bit earlier”
Why?
Feel free to turn your filter back on, while your at it flush your toilet after you’re finished talking it.
“ A Fool article worth reading.”
How so?
These clowns ramp this share every 5 seconds and get paid to, some are also invested.
https://www.fool.co.uk/2023/08/26/is-lloyds-share-price-now-the-ftse-100s-best-bargain/
There are a lot of weirdos on here Johny but I have only filtered Carlt because he is such a monotonous bore, with his landlord, landlord, landlord cr*p. Funnily enough I took him off filter for bit earlier and it seems he was the first to recognise in himself that he spouts rubbish all day long. Credit where credit’s due.
There never was any austerity. This is just a mendacious trope of the Left. There was a slight fall in REAL term spending while the Coalition grappled with the £150bn pa deficit Brown left. How can spending £400bn more than the government earned in revenue in the first three years of the Coalition government coupled with interest rates on the floor, plus all the QE remotely be called austerity?
Finally a Fool article worth reading.

@SUF & livestock,
Saw this from the Guardian, thought about you buying Lloyds around 60p
