"There will also be a levy on developers with profits of more than £25m, worth 4%".
Is this HMG digging deeper in to the pockets of lloy now that it's become a property developer? If so is it 4% of the property side of the business or is it all of the business because I don't seem to recall lloy separated that side in a shell outfit. Correct me please if I am PLEASE .
If/when it is announced -
Hopefully the new buyback program will boost daily volume
"Disinform - do you serious doubt we will see a new buyback program? Hope you are betting against it"
Why would I doubt that or bet against it? It seems highly likely, and I would like my shares to increase in value weirdly. But I'm not going to ignore reality.
Correction - hope you are not betting against
Disinform - do you serious doubt we will see a new buyback program? Hope you are betting against it

"You are comparing comp with 5 or 7 billion in issue to a comp with 71billion in issue,so don't expect the same volume ,should be moving 300 to 500 million to hold a decent speed, imho, dyor."
I'm comparing actual cash movements. You can see from my post it's in line with other highly traded stocks. You can ignore the shares in issue if you just factor in the price of the shares.
"Hopefully the new buyback program will boost daily volume"
Got it.

Good old 2021.

This will be the last day Lloyds investors will see forties price range , tomorrow's results will push this back over 50p
The Hoops, don’t be pulled in it’s a cheap offer,it often means you lose money by not getting the best price..
"These days we only see 10,000 or so"
Skimmed over this... you're out by a factor of 10,000.
"Interest in trading Lloyd's Banking Group shares has reduced over the years."
What are you comparing to? Volumes yesterday for instance:
TSCO: 18.99m (£51m)
GSK: 7.52m (£107m)
LLOY: 140m (£68.6m)
Pure volume LLOY is number 1 today: https://www.hl.co.uk/shares/stock-market-summary/ftse-100/top-volume
Interest in trading Lloyd's Banking Group shares has reduced over the years.
A few year's back we used to see 20,000 trades daily
These days we only see 10,000 or so
It's the sign of the times UK Banks I guess, and are out of favour with day traders in general.
Now Banking is back and
money making machines , making good profits.
Traders like uncertainty and trading opportunities.
Once Banks start paying out their excess Capital to its owners, we see big investment from the Pension funds return. IMHO
Shareholders in general like boring Banks that pay steady dividends
UK shares between 12:15PM – 2:15PM for £3.50 dealing commission per online trade.

"expecting low volume again"
LLOY has a consistent high volume daily. What are you guys comparing it to??
Chinese banks ,and there roads to nowhere are beginning to pinch, there maybe troubles ahead,as certain problems attached to there interest repayments are hitting hard, got to have an effect on world trade without a doubt expecting volatility worldwide, dyor .
Well you got that one right falky, big day tomorrow hope Charlie's up bright and early ready for the spotlights, all eyes and ears will be on him and his words, best of luck, dyor.
It's just a balancing act the tax changes to keep UK banks competitive with foreign banks no big deal or gains, enjoy your day.
I found an article that mentions an increase in 2023 from 27% to above 30% but the proposal will only increase to 28%.
Is this correct?
Does anyone have any idea on how much less tax will the banks will be paying.
Someone tells me that tax on banks profits will be cut next year by the treasury!!!!
Cheers.
Well you are well experienced flaky should not need to ask ,it's the market makers risk on the spread flaky so what does that tell you about it,expecting low volume again, dyor.
