Agreed Bob Holt being appointed is fantastic for Lake. I was once bullish on Lake but then sold our prior to a couple of bad updates. Not long ago I said this was in a death spiral as the sentiment was driving this SP down south, (not having known that Bob Holt would be appointed). However, there is still various issues to be dealt within the business. Just a question; Do you not think the SP is overreacting without any news on improvements on prior issues? GL
On holiday, had no Internet until today. Couldn't believe share price, and then saw Bob Holts' appointment and then saw terrible news about Steve Rawlings. All my condolences to his family. As a footnote, which seems unimportant now, I think Bob Holts' appointment is an act of pure genius. Hopefully these shares will now reflect their true worth. Irony that as things recover, Lakehouse has lost its' founder. How sad.
Today will be a great day as the share prices will keep going up. Hopefully it will stay like this as the share prices are under valued.
Just read terrible news that Steve Rawling has passed. My deepest condolences and sympathies to his family.
AIM for lakehouse shares should hopefully hit 50 which is their aim within the next few months.
Last friday has been a massive success, hopefully they will keep up with this and up goes the shares !
This is exactly the shot in the arm we needed. Holt's black book of contacts alone is worth the money and Im glad there are good incentives to deliver and draw a line under the last managements woeful performance. Now the SP looks cheap and might attract new and/or further institutional investment moving forwards. Holt's CV is impressive and this RNS is a master stroke. 50p by Christmas is what I expect.
Bob Holt just been announced to join lake. 20-30% hike, seems an overreaction for no tangible results or change?
Seeing this share is depressing. I'm glad I cut my losses well back. Looks tempting to buy, but I don't think the spiral has finished. GL all, hope you're rewarded for your patience.
My guess is September. August is usually quite and by then Rawlings will have had sufficient time to get the company on an even keel. News of a contract for the installation of smart metres would be welcome too. Dirt cheap SP though. Tempted to top up.
Are we likely to have a trading update from Lakehouse before December ?
That depends on how speedy your ISA/SIPP provider is with processing dividends and crediting to your account.
This is supposed to be paid today. 1.00p per share.
RNS dated 28th June ''below 4%'' RNS dated 9th March ''below 3%''
Is a time extension to the auction call period. - This one may take a while to ramp up again, possibly September unless we get news on any Smart Metering installation contracts. It was way over sold given the new management team and backing of Slater et al
Big loss so far today. Could somebody please explain what is happening today with the RNS giving two Price Monitoring Extensions. Obviously this is relevant somehow but me being a Newby, I'm not sure if this bodes well, or as I suspect, not.
Price has held for another week. Will probably stay at this level under ex dividend or if and when a new CEO is announced, Interesting to see that no more institutional investors have jumped ship.
Or a buying opportunity? - with a capitalisation of just £50 million, a healthy sales pipeline, new management team and low debt, this looks cheap
If you're in this I'd say hold IMO but the SP might fall from here as the company is in a death spiral mode and many commentators have suggested the group is in total disarray. I think this is unfair. I topped up at 30p - Jim Slater is am investor and his judgement is better than most. Steve Rawlings has just returned as a Director. He founded Lakehouse and may have been out of the game for a while but I think its helpful to have his experience. Drivers for an improving SP will be the appointment of a respected CEO. The last one seemed credible but someone has to take responsibility for the current problems. Despite expensive consultants and supposed experienced non exec directors, shareholders have endured a cluster****. It was probably right to have expected a bad set of interims given the boardroom struggles and earlier profits warnings. News on contracts for the roll out of smart meters, Lakehouse counts 5 of the big 6 as clients, would help. The valuation of the company is way too low and could be a strong recovery play in the coming months.
10k of share just a gut feeling this should be double the price time will tell jmo gl all invested
Does anyone know whether this is a good time to buy or sell or hold? Does this company have any potential? Would be great if someone could answer this? Thanks
Excellent analysis from Paul Scott on yesterday's turmoil. I agree with him and play the long game I think. GLA
· Interim dividend of 1.0p per share reflects the Board's confidence in the Group's underlying performance.
Bottomed today should be gradually recover.my first target around 40
