Anyone found the source of this yet? And I don't mean the Bnamericas article. This is massive news if true. @Kiran?
This thread is the news of the day, and if true, and if those looking in for the first time, or perhaps with funds to top up, believe it to be true and understand the consequences if so, our share price could move up significantly depending on how deep their pockets and conviction is. Sometimes you just get lucky when browsing the boards, and perhaps today is the day for you, dear new investor. lol. OK, that's a ramp, but a pretty true one ;-) Been in the situation myself, sometimes you read something that catches your eye, you do the research, and you buy, buy, buy, whilst everyone posts: "has there been a leak" and other nonsense. No, someone with deep pockets has just read the research you guys have been posting and understood what it might mean. :-)
Wonder how many will look back on this day if an offer is forthcoming with regret? I'm not saying you will @Bannor, as like me you appear to be fully loaded at this share price. But there will be some who have read this and don't grasp what it means, and I'm not just talking cash in the bank, what it means for the Cadence of the company, for our future prosperity. $$$ :-)))
Everything I know is linked from here, and in the comments, apart from today's news :-)

...that's better OBS ... fingers also crossed that GFL don't do a deal with the MX govt that serves them & their shareholders well to the detriment of the JV areas eh
Absolutely @Bannor. Though we do have first right of refusal if particularly bad. I know you know this, but for the benefit of those who don't, search for "drag" here.

Yes I get it but with things as they currently are in MX how practical/possible might that be.... just hoping we don't get caught in a squeeze between GFL & the MX Govt .... only going to be one loser in that scenario IMO ... time will tell & our SP will react accordingly when there's clarification of what it ultimately means for us ..... leave it with you now to go into extreme rampy ramp mode though :-))
The ideal scenario is clearly sell [Some Of] Sonora for at least $24m-$30m to fund Amapa 49% avoiding the need to raise and catapulting our SP because it would have a multiplier effect.
Indeed @EV. Snowball incoming! lol. Seriously, the potential here is mindboggling. Anyone new here, take a look at my recent asset valuation and comments:

Bet the BoD are comfortable with their 29p options, the current share price being a bit of a gift really. One I've fully taken advantage of :-)))
Ob.
Good for you obs.
Money, firmly where mouth is! :-)
@Obs the latest from WHI is 27 June 2022
WHI View: After the recent sale of its stake in some licences at Yangibana REE project to the operator Hastings Technologies (23.06.2022) Cadence continues to simplify its business. Today’s news (Evergreen deal) turns an equity stake in a business which needed funding to one where funding should be available via a listing, and crucially it maintains an important stake in Australia’s booming spodumene lithium pegmatite sector. With news flow expected from Amapa shortly on development scale, economics and timing, Cadence is beginning to take control of its own destiny.
"At the Amapa iron ore project in Brazil, Cadence is prioritizing its Prefeasibility Study (PFS) with all significant contractors on site last month. Cadence expects firstly to publish a maiden reserve followed by the PFS. In addition, a heavy focus has been applied to the relevant environmental permitting, compliance with Brazilian legislation in relation to its Tailing Storage Facilities and implementing the policies, structures and controls required for a new developing company. Cadence is leaving nothing to chance in our opinion and applying solid principles to redeveloping the Amapa project."
One for you Jimb2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8AESpbopiY #BYDBlade
it’s litio para mexico… or as the spanish do sometimes tend to say the 1st words last… mexico para litio… or mexilit for short… lol…
Anyone looking in on Cadence will see the 24 million needed to go to 49% for Anmapa ... I heard it be said that our jv area is worth up to 200 million.. I'd be surprised if we were offered anything over 24 million... I am willing to be surprised tho...
And the Mexican government will say take this amount or we will just take it from you?..
Penny for your thoughts guys?..

indeed @tomcat-14, the state lithium company being named, as far as the the buying of existing additional rights goes that was another link that should be treated with a little caution until further clarification as below:
August 11th
https://www.bnamericas.com/en/news/mexico-energy-minister-reveals-name-of-lithium-state-company
China’s Gangfeng has the rights to the country’s sole active lithium project, in Sonora state, with investors hoping it may become profitable in the next decade.
Mexico looks to buy out existing additional rights held by UK exploration giant Bacanora
@observer842 did mention this on the first post in the current thread.
Hopefully something will appear to back this up, it would make sense for Mexico to secure the concessions in this way as the USMCA is not going to favour them, it could jeopardise the entire NA Mexican car industry trading with Canada and the US.
fingers crossed for out of trading hours news!

Thanks @EV_Bull,
BYD blade batteries are rolling off the production line in Berlin next month in the model Y - just amazing progress in 2022 for EV's - clearly the second stage of disruption is upon us with the battery tech development racing ahead.
GLA
Definitely sensed something positive today and watching kdnc not even move even though Emh has risen by 30% in a month is encouraging.
What's at stake!

Of course we now have USMCA plus the inflation reduction act -just three days after the above and a great deal has happened since the July 12th meeting with Joe Biden.

A_L.O:
It’s also important to mention that, two months ago, we took the sovereign decision of nationalizing lithium in Mexico. This is a fundamental mineral, a fundamental input to advance in our purpose not to depend on fossil fuels. And this will be available for the technological modernization of the automotive industry among our great countries — the countries of the USMCA
' you've got to be in it to win it'
(cringe)
Can someone please explain how Kdnc will get full value for its lithium asset in Mexico if a full scale nationalisation is going to take place? Why are folk getting excited about this?
they’re not… according to the translation… the 10 sonora concession are excluded… and it seems mexico is looking to buy into sonora… as this thread title… wake up…
The title of this thread = nationalisation, in my book. What else can it mean?
part nationalisation… not full as you said earlier… although that is a thought in itself… buy out existing additional rights could mean the whole of sonora… not just the additional bits ganfeng don’t need for their long term expansion plans… although it does specifically say bacanora not ganfeng… so part nationalisation seems most likely…
now here’s another thought… what if msb… la ventana… is the surplus… not mexilit/megalit…
unlike megalit… la ventana has a saleable value… feasibility study page 10 table 1.14.1… npv8 $1,253m…
80% npv without a fs… ?% npv with a fs…
http://www.ganfenglithium.com/ir_detail_en/id/2525.html …
ganfeng bought a fully funded project off bcn’s shareholders… and only needed to fund their half of the dfs project… they could use the proceeds from the sale of msb (cash already in mexico - so no international transfer from ganfeng china) to fund what was their remaining half of the dfs project plus their short term expansion plans… but 100% mined from mexilit…
