Copper's gone bonkers.
People waiting on the side lines may get caught out. Once it's known more widely that JLP are copper producers as well as PGM's this should rerate. Platinum $1028

I have mixed feelings on JLP and copper. One the one hand, Roan has seemed to have taken far too long to get going. On the other hand, we have probably been buying copper feed a lot cheaper than if we bought it at current copper prices and it looks like Roan is going to be producing significant amounts just as the copper price is taking off, maximising profits.
There is a lot of ignorant b*110cks being talked on here as if jlp was going to fail anytime soon. People trying to get some lower prices for themselves perhaps. whatever tripe they are serving up I don't think Slater will be selling anytime soon for a small delay in delivery of machinery. everything else is already proven.
Hello,
Been away for a few days still awaiting news I see. Continual delays and failing to hit targets doesn't inspire confidence Shuvlin. It is understandable that it breeds some negativity. Even the modules are late should have been started in Q1 this year and we are already half way through quarter 2.
However next years expected production of pgms and chrome underpins the sp higher than where we are today and both processes are well established with potential growth in both. Copper is the icing on the cake.
Are you listening Ardbeggar?
Cmon Roan
"Even the modules are late should have been started in Q1 this year and we are already half way through quarter 2." How do you know they haven't been ....??
When did they put out that they had started one? Don't you think that is massive news module ordered and an expected completion time?
What are you saying Gotreal? We can expect production from module one in Q3 this year then?
No, I am pointing out the false logic of you claiming that because you HAVEN'T been told that they have been started , that they haven't .... I am afraid too many people are prone to this .
It is a major event for the company it should have an RNS to give dates and timelines if not then it is bad communication by the company and an own goal for the pr dept. They did it for the Thutse modules why would the copper modules be a secret?
Gotreal,
"As per the agreement with IRH, Jubilee is undertaking a detailed resource definition to confirm the material reclamation strategy and location of the targeted processing units."
Taken from April 18th RNS in what part of that can you interpret that they have ordered a module and it will be producing in 6 months. They haven't even decided on location at that point.
This date is after the end of Q1 therefore logic dictates they missed the Q1 deadline.
They did say that the Waste Rock project was expected to kick off in Q1 CY24 but they didn’t say that module construction would start then (unless I’m mistaken). There’s work to do on surveying the site and defining the resource which is presumably going on now. I’m not expecting construction on those modules to commence until later this year, maybe after the Thutse module construction is completed. That’s unless the manufacturer is planning to increase production capacity.
YOU see it as a major event.... they may not. And why would they need to decide on the locations of the modules before ordering them? They are two unrelated activities... nothing dictates anything... it is all just your opinion.
We'll see if it isn't running by October then they missed it:)
The building of the first module under the IRH deal isn't a major event then. I seem to remember many on here dancing for joy when it was announced.
They missed it Gotreal just accept it. They mention the IRH deal in every RNS. It's a major event they see it as that as well.
You are making it up, Gray.... 😉
Gotreal:)
