Ah no the same old doomsday narrative of bushbaby
Cobalt up another 6.5% on Friday, that's nearly 13% up in two days... something to keep an eye on next week! Prepare to fire up the cobalt circuit Leon!
Presumably that figure for production costs is based on full capacity usage, producing smaller amounts would likely incur higher production costs which is why they want to see a significantly higher price so they can expect to produce profitably over a longer period. Anyway lets see what next week brings, if you see what happened last time the price increased significantly, it went up to over US$50,000 / tonne pretty quickly.
Our cost of production of Cobalt is only about $16,000/t....
We shall see -Production in reverse? Not sure about that -the six monthly figures will tell.
Bushyfailed-If deals are being made with Glencore as rumored your 1p prediction will be as reliable as a Boris Johnson truth statement .
Think you are the one who needs to wake up -now be a good chap and deramp a share that warrants such treatment -there are many to choose from
I wonder if the uptrend in cobalt will continue next week?, that report suggests that everyone has been caught out, expecting a surplus in the market which hasn’t materialised. If it reaches the US$37,000-38,000 / Tonne level that Leon mentioned in the analysts call then we could be in the ideal position to be able to quickly ramp up production and take advantage of it.
Here’s the chart tracking the cobalt futures price, as Leon mentioned the cobalt market is more order driven and doesn’t necessarily follow the headline price but it gives an indication of where we are:
https://tinyurl.com/4y99rtkw
The blue band indicated the US$37,000-38,000 level at which the company would be looking to restart production.
So wrong Bushyfailed -this is one of the few companies on the AIM that is increasing production,making profits , obtaining new deals and not having rights issues to keep the lights on
We will get a six monthly update in the next few weeks which will give us a indication of how JLP is doing and how the copper production is being ramped up
Very dangerous board this ..
Calling in the administrators and getting suspended at 1p
is much more likely than a takeover at £1
Ah… this is the reason:
https://www.argusmedia.com/en//news/2464786-eu-cobalt-price-spread-widens-on-tighter-alloy-grade
I wonder if this report is the reason for cobalt rising… it was one of the minerals targeted for deep sea mining.
https://www.mining.com/web/fixing-deep-sea-mining-damage-would-be-double-the-cost-of-extraction-study/
Up over 6%.
Up over 6%
Come on Leon, tell us the good news regarding the copper. What would you say Leon......Transformational
Let the market know about Xi
Well done mate
Only reported for threatening to take up the whole board. sp not a problem.
@Jonah58 thanks for that.
I was looking to establish what the share price would be based on my worst case assumptions drop in PGM prices and if its higher than current price then I would continue to hold until more copper or cobalt comes on line.
@gotreal, your right cobalt is there, again wanted to see what the price would be without, purely as a potential confidence booster.

If you are referring to my posts, I have to laugh. I can understand people nursing loses can get defensive, that doesn't help anyone. I Hope you are having a better day :)
@Shareswotter
£1 :)))))))))
I am actually feeling confidence about JLP.
Equality, see gotreal's post of 28 June indicating possible takeover bids of £1.
Would you be happy with that?
I’m sure you know that predicting the Sp 12 months ahead is only for soothsayers, but, for what it’s worth, I think the Sp will be higher than it is at the moment and your investment will be showing a nice profit.
Your posts reported.
In July '24 we will be producing between 10 and 20,000 ozs more PGMs than that and 200 - 400,000 tonnes more Chrome. Why are you asking...? You don't mention Cobalt ....
@shuvlin
"All hypothetical", what do you think all this is? :)))))
You did not have to reply and fill the board to say you do not want to are cannot help with my question, if everyone did that on this board it would be.................
Can anyone help with the below?
What would the share price be assuming Jubilee delivered the following at year end June 2024?
1. 38,000 PGM ounces (oz) at current prices
2. 10,000 tonnes of copper sold at $7,900 per tonne and cost of production at $5,500 per tonne
3. 1.2 million tonnes of chrome concentrate at current prices
4. All other costs based on current
And for those who are being extremely defensive.
1. 44,000 PGM ounces (oz) at current prices
2. 12,000 tonnes of copper sold at $8,500 per tonne and cost of production at $5,500 per tonne
3. 1.6 million tonnes of chrome concentrate at current prices
4. All other costs based on current
Thanks
All hypothetical and too many variables to say. Waste of time so try and work it out yourself.
@SeisNav dont focus on the past or any previous posts you sound defensive doesn't help any type of investor.
Before anyone asks I have 375,000 shares in JLP.
Can you or anyone else help me with my question and not what else it could be.
