BigEgo,
I should have recognised your perspective. Absolutely, ITV should embrace trade opportunities instead of letting them slip into the hands of platforms like YouTube.
Well, it seems the UK is on a one-way ticket to Americanisation. The whole 'getting our country back' spiel boils down to willingly signing up for second-class membership in the American fan club.
I say take the cash! Otherwise lose it to YouTube…!

Pogo,
RE: ‘All attention is still on Israel.’
Unfortunately, they won’t let it drop ‘Israel will ‘exact price from Iran … when time is right’

Some idiots are setting a 'Buy limit order', just in case the fallout rubs off!
Winstanley
No weekend Izrael army response.
Israel exchange stock up on Sunday.
Any ITV share price under 90 pence is a good profit opportunity.
Monday's session start... idiots are everywhere, but end in green for ITV. I think closing price about 71.50.
All attention is still on Israel. Unfortunately, understanding the situation of this country, it must be clearly said: this prime minister has been the cause of many tragedies and the lack of vision to end the conflict with Palestine for many years.
STOCK MARKET
This situation will be much more painful for airlines shares stock market and especially for WIZZAIR. This company after last 2 months petrol prices rise, problems with existing aircraft and delays in inspections, delays up to 1 year in the delivery of new aircraft, losses of travel market and limitation of the flight network, ... and another failure which was the resumption of flights to Israel and the Middle East at the expense of European connections. What was supposed to save the company's finances will turn out to be a very expensive and yet another mistake. So, for those who like risk and large changes in share prices, I recommend (not first time) playing with these shares.
How low will we go?
Of course, it may not happen but, keep your powder dry:
The ongoing geopolitical tensions, currently in the news, are likely to hurt most stocks. Hopefully, the challenging situation will be resolved soon for the sake of everyone. From a purely investment standpoint, it might be prudent to act promptly and seize potential opportunities for profit while they're available.
Winstanley - thanks good article, the Variety ones are usually worth reading.
What struck me reading this one was the number of countries ITV sell a program to - I lost count! Impressive.
Previous news reports praising the viewership numbers seem to support the narrative. While not significant enough for a regulatory news service (RNS) announcement, they do indicate that ITV's necessary restructuring efforts under McCall are yielding positive results.

It seems perfectly plausible, from an established source, and reiterated by Yahoo News. You do know what streaming is, eh?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Spy
Plain common sense makes me very sceptical about the validity of those figures. Strikes me as a throwback to the days when people used to brag about how many hits their website had received.
Alboumphoto,
Not my figures - just relaying what's in the news. Check it out and DYOR:

Winstanly. Please explain the figure of 36 million to me. Does it mean roughly half the population has watched it? Coronation Street now attracts a viewing audiences of less than 3 million so I would love to know how you arrive at a figure of 36 million for a programme I've never heard of.
...to boot:
AMC Networks launches ITVX streaming offer.

The streaming side of things continues to flourish!
Trigger Point season two is officially the most-streamed show of the year so far on ITVX.
With all six episodes now available to watch, it's been revealed that 8.6 million views were accumulated on launch, and the audience continues to grow. Together with season one, Trigger Point streaming figures clock in at over 36 million.
No opinion on SOFI, but what is your time-frame on the rest that you have highlighted here?
The first two are already grossly overvalued right now, but at least they are high quality outfits, not facing a likely capital raise, which the third one feasibly might be.
Worried that you have ITV on your list now! Hopefully you have called that one good, but reckon we are looking at 60's here now :)
Good weekend all.
Good morning fellow investors in the UK!
DiamondHans is here to let you know that thanks to increasingly positive noise around the ITV Studios US asset we have added ITV to the DiamondHans '5 Star' portfolio - and we are adding aggressively then holding until a takeover of ITV Group - whenever that may be...
NVDA - Holding
AAPL - Holding
RIVN - Adding
ITV - Adding
SOFI - Adding
To the Moon!
Best,
Hans

Why is there so much interest from overseas buyers in British companies?
The UK stock market is lowly valued and the pound is cheap so if you’re an overseas buyer, you’re buying a cheap company in a cheap currency. The UK is trading at a 40% discount to global equities.
Do you expect any other companies in your portfolio to get approached?
ITV is an obvious takeover target. It runs the second largest studios business in the world and more than 50% of its profits come from outside the UK.

ITV
I understand that for lots of people who are investing your money on ITV shares the best option will be fast and big share price increas. That looks good especially when you invest only small capital up to £10-15k or when Stock Market is your primary source of income. In this matter you need take a bigger risk aln shortly term of your investment. But as I think and said before. On the any shares market is the tome for tips and for the real profits. If you are trying to fight with market you will be always on the wrong position.
I am already far behind this time and method of investing. The slower the ITV rate increases, the greater the scope of this increase will be without any major correction. At the same time, a strong several-session increase in the share price that will appear at the right moment will have a chance to exceed the 20% move, so as to cut off those still in doubt and collect the supply still waiting on the market. And all this before the next wave of growth. And all of this will be just another example of the fact that old patterns on the stock market still work.
More words of wisdom from the founder of the nation Kim Il Sung? Juche philosophy from brainwashed Pogo
I don't need to said anything more ore anything different like I said lots of times.
Patience. Composure. Cold head and emotions. Understanding that we make decisions and are responsible also for the wrong ones, not anyone else.
And ITV shares ... Money talks.
Trolls believe that stupidity and lies remain hidden and invisible.
Stupidity and incomprehension always costs money. Although it is difficult to attribute both intelligence and stupidity to trolls. A Russian troll will always remain only an intellectually and financially poor troll.
Pogo is back and repeating himself. So lets repeat. Pogo told people to buy last summer. Promised them the share price would go to £1 and above. His prediction was hopelessly wrong and his paymasters in Pyongyang (hence Pogo) have seen their money tied up in ITV for a year with almost no gain and dividends only.
He is a terrible trader. Knows nothing. Using translation apps as he cannot write or even read English
How are your tips??
RE: After divi 11/04/20249 Apr 2024 11:52
You are all thinking how to gett an extra tips... But do you think what you need to do, when the price it will not drop but increases dynamically within a few sessions. You will stay without nothing.
Let me remind you:
RE: After divi 11/04/20249 Apr 2024 10:38
My private predictions for ITV price ex divi day 11/04 is £0.75 -£076. After we possible will open about £0.71 with with unsuccessful pressure during 1-2 trading sessions to bring the price below £0.70.
RE: After divi 11/04/20249 Apr 2024 12:54
Not less than £70.66 on Friday's close but not surprise if we have £73.96
See you on Friday after 4.35pm
And as I said before, in my opinion minimum target 75-76 pence on the end of next week 20th April.
Over 80 pence on the end of April 2024
Large increases in price and trading volume after 9th May 2024, increase in the average price in buy recommendations to the level of £1.10 and higher, growing speculation about the time of return to the FTSE100 index etc - the result should be a break through the level of at least 90 pence at the end of May.
Of course, these are just my predictions. And of course I can shut up, leaving them and any explanations WHY only to myself. After all, it is the result of my hard work, knowledge and experience, as well as over 25 years of investing on the stock exchange. Maybe it's a good idea to start only reading posts from multiple accounts trolls again. I remember time when my recommendations were very expensive.
