So much anger.
You ITV holders are so bitter that you missed out over the last 18 months. My RDSB dividends payout on the 20th. Nice revenue earner during Covid and only looking to get better as oil and gas supply cannot meet increases in demand.
AngerSharkz...... "Seeing as though I bought in here a few weeks back at 104p I’m happy to let it sit in my portfolio and forget about it. As I said a few days ago the only person that gets angry or emotional about ITV is you….and your not invested here. You’ve just got some weird obsession."
Sharkz, just to update you on Tom with many aliases, a poster on this ITV forum claims to know Tom personally who asked us all not to respond to him because he is mentally challenged, apparently Tom lost his family inheritance in a company that Carolyn McCall was involved in, who he blames for his financial loss, hence the reason for his obsession with her being ITV's CEO. The poster also told Tom to stop making things up regarding his luxury lifestyle and job. most posters including myself felt sorry for Tom and I tried to advise him to go and see his GP for help. Sadly Tom didn't listen and his behaviour got worse. You can lead a horse to water...
To my cost, I found out the hard way that it's best not to argue with an idiot he will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience. Soooo true.
Angry is always this angry? Well I took a look at his posting history and he is on RMG doing much the same thing. Abusive posting to multiple posters.
Buying ITV at £1.04 was hardly the smartest move. It is going to take a battering before the end of winter. The Christmas schedule is out and it is the same faces. Ant and Dec, Paul O Grady, the Chase, Bradley and Son. Mix that up with Harry POTTER on every night between boxing day and New Year and you have the reason why ITV is haemorrhaging market share.
No new ideas. No imaginative formats. Game shows and garbage.
Nige the person who claimed to know me made the small error of saying I was from North London. Glaringly obvious error seeing as I have been very open about my love of CPFC. The rest was of course 100% kosher.
For anyone that may be interested.....
A ITV shareholder over on ADVFN discussion board Goldfinger16 claims to have a contact that claims that ITV will receive a takeover bid before Christmas of around 200p per share. Also, that the bidder won't be Liberty Global. Obviously, I cannot vouch for this posters information, but if you want to read his comments I enclose the link below.
https://uk.advfn.com/cmn/fbb/thread.php3?id=45154546
Nige is this like the time you claimed to have inside information that the ITV Board were preparing for a hostile take over?
Why do you repeatedly try to start false rumours here? I get you are down by close to £1 per share in ITV but propagating lies and mistruths?
Oh please, not the bid rubbish again Nige, next you'll be telling us unicorns are real.....dream on Nige.
Nige you've always come across as a decent sort of chap so I'm surprised that you've chosen to reference the Goldfinger post. Yes it MIGHT turn out to be true but as we both know it PROBABLY won't its not really worth mentioning. Anyway good news about the ADRs, the World Cup is just round the corner and I've just heard ITV have been nominated for some media awards.
Alboumphoto, I was only passing on the potential takeover rumour, I did say that I can't vouch for the posters comments. Although, the poster Goldfinger has been on the ADVFN ITV board for some years. I will let other posters make of it what they want. I take everything that I read on a discussion board with a large pinch of salt. It maybe genuine, it may not be, only time will tell.
Further to add Alboumphoto, if you look on the ADVFN board another poster claims that Goldfinger has history of tipping another company for a takeover that came to fruition a few months later. So maybe posters shouldn't be too quick to judge Goldfinger.
Don't worry Nige, you're not going to dupe any of the serious investors on this board with talk of a bid rumour, way too smart to fall for that.
I would believe this if 1. I saw the post and 2. Someone confirms who the company is.
Why would you do it just before the UK Government is about to make a Television Industry shake up with the CH4 Privatisation.
Makes no sense.
Exactly that. Any potential buyer will be holding off until they see what happens with C4. If the C4 control passes to ITV then that will deter any buyout as it means even more state/government regulation and control of a private asset. No way the Department of Media and Sport would allow quasi state broadcasters to be handed to the Murdochs or state owned investment funds. ITV by itself could possibly be sold to Saudi wealth funds.
ITV buyout is not happening this next year. No sign of dividends? Still a dire management who fail to add value to the share price.
Got to question why investors stick to this at current prices.
Because it’s very undervalued Tom.
Agreed.
It will get bought but not now - Hopefully early in the New Year after the CH4 decision
Tom I stick with it not out of choice mate. I've an average larger than the Dame's bank account and share bonuses and I've no desire yet,......to crystallise it.
P
Overvalued going by the share price of the last few days. People are selling and getting out. That is the cold hard truth. No positive spin can hide that.
Rock........ "Why would you do it just before the UK Government is about to make a Television Industry shake up with the CH4 Privatisation. Makes no sense."
Rock, it would make sense if the potential ITV bidder had no interest in ITV acquiring CH4. Maybe this will force their had?
"hand"
It makes no sense for anyone to bid for ITV right now whilst the C4 tie up, organised by the UK government is going through.
Nige is clutching at straws again. The chance of any bid here is probably at the lowest right now that it has been in a decade. Any potential investors should ignore Nige's bid talk. It is not a valid reason to choose ITV over other UK shares. Nige is all about deceit and false rumours. He does not care if others lose money by following his very self centred advice.
It makes no sense for you to continually post on this BB after all this time but you still do?
Sometimes the unexpected happens.
Rock, there is always the other forum if you do not like the more sensible discussion over here. All the fantasy theories and conspiracy nonsense is there. Anything that supports your misguided belief to invest here, no matter how crazy it seems to rational people.
Just out of interest Tom would you be pleased to see the SP go up tomorrow or would you rather it went down? Speaking as someone who is currently on the sidelines I would love to see the share price plummet purely in order to re-enter the market but with you I strongly suspect its more a case of taking perverse pleasure from the misery of others.
You are a disgruntled former investor and employee who after many many many years is still disgruntled.
Frankly your history on this BB is both extremely odd and actually disturbing.
