Obviously a lot of bored investors out there today who have nothing to say whilst the share price bobs around in this channel. Wish someone would rescue us (takeover bid)
Throw money at us (share price rise) and promise free flights for selling up (Rwanda) And of course the most important part dinner and a night out with… KM and SS.
That would relieve the boredom lol

Hitman - I had never heard of her previously, but having just checked her out on-line, I can empathise with your predicament. Unfortunately, my powers of influence mostly don't seem to be as effective on the fairer sex (although it did, unbelievably, work on one notable occasion); I will, however, do my best for you. I have also put in a request for 181 here on May10th, not wishing to be too greedy. Let's see how that goes.

Sydney… I can see your point 😉 but think there is more chance of the share price going up than your, ahem expectations if you know what I mean. But it’s always worth considering.

EYAUH - you sound like a seasoned IAG shareholder ! Welcome - we are not called long suffering for nothing 😂
Hope for Sydney Sweeney to go out with me please Bobbins!

"Ask, and you shall receive".
You're welcome.
Another disappointing day. Hoping for better tomorrow.
Please put this on my headstone.
Bought my first lot of IAG at 105 and another at 155. I can't complain as I have made a handy profit up to this point, BUT everything about this stock tells me it will rise further, and significantly so. This is why it's so frustrating to see how lackluster the price increase has been over the last 12 months. I'm holding onto this stock for dear life, as I know if I sell now, I'll regret it later. Why do I think this stock has more to run? Well, the overall industry results are positive, Heathrow's passenger numbers are at an all time high, IAG debt is being drawn down, and the price is way below the pre-covid level. Surely we are on the cusp of a substantial upturn?
Hope so. Topped up at 1.73.
GLA!
Same equation when it comes to IAG and Easyjet - summer flights/holidays key and the announcement of a divi for IAG. This Ukraine War needs closure. Reading between the lines I think Russian will win in the east (Donbas) and Crimea. What I mean is that Ukraine does not have the capability nor the appetite from the West to recapture. Its a bitter bitter pill to swallow but cant see it going any other way. A demarcation zone will be needed in due course. The middle east will resolve itself into the state mate that has always existed. The Palestinians wont get their own land and life with move on.
Upshot of the above is that IAG will hit £3.

Progress …… it’s shaping up to be a better year for shareholders. We haven’t been called long suffering for nothing.!
I'm tempted to go and edit this Wikipedia page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/177_(number)
to add that 177 is also the most stubborn and annoying resistance level for IAG in 2024.
Can't wait for the long weekend so I'll stop looking at this utter nonsense.
Bobbins, unfortunately there are many women in power today, none of which display any empathy towards mankind. So, simple answer, NO.
DB2014, you may be right. Not so much down beat, more of clarity. They say you get harder as you get older, not true. I would not want anyone one near me today if I got harder and colder than when I was in my youth. I can say that now on reflection.
time also allows you to have a longer, more wider view of the past and realise, it was not great, but now is worse, only in a more terrifying way.
Me and my big outh FFS... lol
Fordm, are you getting more down beat as you get older? This SP to hit £2 in August maybe sooner...
Starfigher,
£2 will be amazing by end of the month but that might be end of the years instead .
Fordm - very true, and more than a little depressing. Reminds me of that old adage about people who crave power should never be allowed anywhere near it. Also can't help wondering if the world would be a safer, slightly happier place if there were more women in charge, as opposed to unhinged (mostly short) men. Or does that adage I mentioned apply equally to women?
Experience and longevity has taught me one thing. Never expect madmen to do the right thing, yet they seem to get elected into power all the times, so humanity must subconsciously want to end itself.
So, as much as we say we want peace, we never elect sane rational middle-aged men, with a peaceful outlook and a vision for our young's future.
That SURE would be nice after sitting on a loss for 3 years :)
I expect to see £2 by the end of the month barring an escalation in hostilities in the usual hotspots.

Its only going up.

Additionally,
It's not that easy to get seats with avios, in reality it's a limited rewards programme controlled by the airline. You need to amass a lot of points to take advantage of savings and it would be different if you could use them on any available seat.

Hello first time poster?
Very few people have the 2 for 1 vouchers to take advantage of such an offer anyway, plus Dubai is seriously expensive when you get there with hardly any half board offers. They definitely want to cash in on the restaurant prices.
Could be a marketing ploy, after all it has got us talking and there are issues in the middle East!
Future premium bookings is a fairly wide brush.
