and another one.....
dangerous? honestly, where do these people crawl from?
big-blue is a dangerous man, l will explain..
when we look at what BB is saying, it is 4 week old news that has since been responded to by Luis Gallego, we have also have numerous announcements opening up travel...
although it is old tosh to a lot of us and many of us have just chosen to filter him, what it does is inserts an Anchoring Bias if you are coming across the forum for the first time:
Why we tend to rely heavily upon the first piece of information we receive
https://thedecisionlab.com/biases/anchoring-bias/
we are also hard-wired to react to danger with the fight or flight response so his behaviour will play on many of our emotions ...
Filtering him is the only option, like a said before fighting him can entrench you in your position and beliefs which is just as dangerous as you lose your objectivity...
the compounded effect of his actions are unimaginable, they are designed to play on your fears and play on your mind, l agree there needs to be a short side of the story and this should be a place for an exchange of ideas, but what he does, l don't know, but l can only assume he is paid as nothing else makes sense...
@disrup
..these boards are a two-edge sword they can help you and they can hinder you, you have to know the difference and we are all fallible...
personally l find trading is like trading against your own biases and it is a personal thing, ultimately you are responsible to see what is being said and stick to your bias until it doesn't make sense anymore.. it only takes a brief weak moment to capitulate and that will make perfect sense at the time or it can be the agony of staying and questioning your own bias until you can see evidence that confirms it again...
footnote:
just to add l have never seen any figures or workings of BB's thinking and it is purely fear-based just like the other derampers...
OK, outline the significant events that has resulted in the brokers releasing updates revising their opinions.
Its weird how key events drop of some people's radar purely because the earth spins around a few times. Show me the revision! The key factors YOU think of do not translate into revision notes or new statements.
Bb - although you aren’t posting untruths, you are misleading in your posts. Those broker calls were made before significant events. You are misleading the poor and uninitiated. It is, somewhat, unethical of you to do so.
As I have said, every time someone tries to deny it, I will post the truth and the evidence. Until there is formal news to the contrary, it stands!

Was this not post easyJet RI panic? Large companies will always be in discussion with banks on financing options and this is BAU activity (and will heighten at times of stress) - I dip in and out of these forums and I have always struggled to understand what your point is aside from an ‘I am right’ mentality? Hope you hit you 3k post target zzzzz
"For all the talk of Rights issues etc - the owner publicly stated they won’t need one,"
It was the CEO, not the owner
Which part of this confirms your outright no RI assertion?
""""We have revolving credit facilities, we are analysing other ways of financing the group so we have alternatives before we [consider] another rights issue,""
So many people have tried to twist and turn and pretend and deny and wish it away. 3 Brokers came out and cited the need. The outright denials are the problem. You just shoot the messenger. How bold.
So very well said.
It’s a real concern that some people are writing that they would be influenced into making any form of financial decision by any member on this board.
From my very limited knowledge and experience I am yet to read or see anything on this board that is anymore relevant than having a Random chat with some bloke at the bar or bus stop.
The trouble with all these boards is that they lose all sense of purpose and descend into some sort of bizarre Harry Potter world of good v bad. BB and Fugazi become Pantomine like villains with posts that become more and more extreme to attract more attention from those who feel the need to defend IAG like it’s their own child.
For all the talk of Rights issues etc - the owner publicly stated they won’t need one, yet people on this board swear blind he is wrong and they will do one. That should tell you all you need to know? Who would you trust, the owner or a random bloke on a message board….
These boards are good fun and informative when it’s a balanced mix of views and opinions, but like always it ends up being hijacked by a handful of people, some of which profess to not even be invested. Which is just bizarre, they no doubt model themselves as self imposed saviours of others who are invested and are trying to show them the light no less and errors of their ways.
It’s like an virtual world of speakers corner in Hyde park… it’s getting very surreal and strange and all that happens is people just stop reading. No opinion from anyone is going to have any impact on the sp. if you are susceptible to selling or buying on what people are saying on this board, question whether you should be buying shares at all
If only all this energy could be harnessed for better things like volunteering in the community or helping others the world would probably be a better place.
