fuel costs casung the sp to loose 4-5% every day??
Yes and probably RI in next few months
Maj101.
Thanks. So where does the rights issue bit come from? Do you have a link?
Emeraldcarrots, IMO the reason for the SP decline today is the consistently high UK covid cases & new delta sub variant. Whole market has been spooked, see tui, ezj, wizz, nex, ssp, Mars, etc. Oil price & heathrow charges are added niggles which do not help the aviation travel sector especially iag. GLA.
EmeraldCarrots, there has been a degree of debate over that on here recently, lol

Some hard facts below, careful of the ramp fest trying to pretend there is nothing to see. The original 3 broker notes have not been altered or updated, the CEO quote form Sept a week after the 3 brokers is very plain and clear, and yesterday a fourth broker mentioned that which can not be whispered (RI).

This will start bouncing back up from 1st Nov (long hold flights), imo. Shorters are milking this including hedge funds....games!

If could also be that a rise in cases would put an end to USA travel in Nov
Yes. It seems to also be because some counties have banned flights from uk due to covid levels.
I don't hold by the way.
BBC chatting **** again scaremongering the population about a third wave. Stop testing and get on with it. If you feel bad for to hospital
Robbren58, if the US were to exclude UK passengers from entering it would certainly put a cat amongst the pigeons. The UK gov need to get more 11 to 17 year olds vaccinated, only approx 15% jabbed which is where the high case numbers are occurring. 3rd booster jab is a must.GLA.
AimingHigh2021,
100% agree with why on earth do people keep getting tested? There is this compulsion to 'belong'. Stupid sheep keep falling for the social media cr*p so they can post about it.
If fuel is costing more,is it just added as a surcharge to the ticket. This has dropped about 15% in a few days
Istabrraq, sorry, but if two jabs is not doing the job how many will it take? 1 per month? As for 11-17 y/o, they are not flying to the US and the if they do their parents will have been jabbed to comply and that age group is not a requirement.... yet!
fordm - The third booster jab is simply because the effectiveness of the jabs wears off hence the need for another one after 6 months. As for not doing the job the vaccines have been very effective in terms of reducing the chance of serious illness which is why the numbers in hospital have been much lower than previous peaks despite the high number of cases.
Fordm, 3rd jab will be needed as the vaccines wane over time. May need a 4th jab who knows, covid will be here for quite some time. 11 to 17 year old should get vaccinated or alternatively they develop natural immunity. Either way it will lower the UK case numbers. Some countries may decide to base their border policies on anothers covid prevalence, eg. today it was Morocco tomorrow it could be the USA or Canada or etc. GLA.
Don’t see why countries would be blocking entry based on cases as it is still a very small % of the total population.
The only rationale of doing so is if a countrys population, such as Morocco for example, is not adequately vaccinated.
Hexam, Istabrraq, I get the lowering the risk factor, but at some point we must let our own immunity take over, it's how humans have survived for millions of years. I have had to take it to be able to reclaim my 'freedom' but the kids thing? I don't see the point. But anyway, I do not wish to hijack a stock forum with my personal views. I just think media is now using it as tool to sway people, one way or the other. Cheers
IAGlongterm, Morocco has a vaccination rate >50%. Why would they suspend UK, German & Netherlands flights? Some countries had & some still have irrational border policies. GLA.
I understand where you're coming from Istabrraq, they should look at PCR and vaccination certs instead if they are that worried. It does seem strange....
Let us hope COVID situation doesn’t go out of hand which is the main worry to drive SP to crash because travelling will be limiting?
Hospital levels and death rates are the key indicators. If the booster plan goes like it did in Israel, it will be back under control. If people do not take the booster, rates will increase.....
Got 100k ready when it goes below 150.. should be under 150p by Friday!! The world of stocks never stops to amaze me!! Buy when everyone is selling!! Just remember that!
Doing a 360, Morocco could have been told to put a ban on UK in order to try and set things up and start a campaign to shun UK. And yes, it will be the EU commission. They are still smarting at not getting favourable access to the states over the UK earlier in the year. Remember, form a 360 point of view, the EU is not a friend of the UK. Any and every trick to subdue us and gain whatever points above us will be used from here in to the end of time. As far as the commission is concen=rned they won the vaccine race against the UK as the tortoise winning the race. That is their frame of mind, they hate the UK.

IAGLongterm.
Thanks. I think most British people will take the booster. However I worry about the Americans. I mean first half of them back Trump, then about 30% don't seem to be able to work out if the vaccines are worth taking!! Truly has been a real eye opener to me as far as the American public go. Frightening they have nukes frankly!
All IMHO.
