Another stack of huge trades appeared.
Haven't had a problem getting a buy quote all week?
Can anyone get a buy quote
The share price is being very carefully managed today, it's now NT for 1k shares at 136p, maybe not a surprise after the 1.86m & 250k buys at 135p. It's clearly being held so big parties can conclude their business.
Worth bearing in mind that the 1.86m represents some 1.35% of share capital, excluding the 54.2% owned by the 2 founders it's 3% of the available float...
CANT BUY ANYTHING LOOKS LIKE MARKET MAKERS ARE READY TO LET IT GO NOW
2 percent of the company just bought in those 2 trades!
Back to level. Seems to be the afternoon before this one wakes up.
At 1.35. Tick up
You have to look back at the old TR1's for ARBDN / Standard Life to get an idea of what has happened here;
Their last TR1 to the market was in July 2018 for 7.05% of shares in issue, which at the time was a total of 7,955,623
Today's RNS declares a holding at 20/07 of 7,621,765 or 5.55%
The Hotel Chocolat website meanwhile have ABRDN at 8.2% as of 30/06/22, which would have been equivalent to 11,279,683 shares
So it's a tad confusing... my guess is that ABRDN bought shares in the March 20 & July 21 placings to maintain their ownership and possibly even increase it to 8.2%, but they haven't been bothered to submit an updated TR1.
On balance I suspect they've actually gone from 8.2% to 5.5%, as HOTC would get their information from refinitiv / bloomberg which is a lot more reliable than the TR1 system...
If that is the case then they've sold ~3.6m shares at the all time low - great work lads!
137.5 this is about to get interesting. Who is hoovering up the sells we should know soon.
Any significant buying and this will move very quickly as the free float is so small. Popcorn required this afternoon?
Yeah so a reduction. But when 2 people own 56 percent all this stock had to come from somewhere, and someone else is clearly buying. Thanks for the market depth comment. Looks like someone is clearing this out now
Thanks Ironhide.
Morning all, always struggle to understand TR1s. Is this a reduction in a major holding?
Ta.
About £500 at 1.34
Seems to be a bit of a pattern. Tending to open pretty ok. Gets sold into… drops and then recovers through the day. In my opinion this looks to have settled down and will start to recover now but who knows these days! Is there much stock available at 134?
I've picked up a few this morning at 134
To buy anything at 1.32
Of sellers on the bell now buyers moving this back up
Let’s hope for a decent day all. Been a tough week for holders!
Ha ha those days are gone :-)
Back to the sp it bodes very very well for tomorrow. Through 1.50 ish and there is next to no resistance to 2.40.
This has been brutalised the last 3 to 6 months. I have re, re read the trading update. No way should this have fallen 50 percent on the back of it. Very strong UK business and a great UK business which is now very undervalued .
Strong buy for me. I suspect tomorrow will be interesting.
Have we seen bottomy mc bottom face? Looks to be rallying now.
Now. Tick up soon
The share price or something else?
