25,000 buys after 13:00 today. I think this is ready to spring pretty soon. IMO. Spread has come in again. MMs must want some action on this.
I'm sticking. Patience will be rewarded.
Sold at 50p cant see this making much headway without a bid, better investments elsewhere imho
behave with this spread. Will the 16.30 buy come in this afternoon.
Everyday for a while somebody ISP buying 25000 worth at around 16.30.
People look East the time is near........for the crowning of the year!
Come on. At least leak a few possibilities.
The spread is closely related to normal market size, and both of them are symptoms of a stock's liquidity. Just as brokers give a stock with low liquidity a low NMS, so they also give it a wide spread The wide spread gives the market makers flexibility when they go out into the market to secure the shares that you want to buy. Suppose shares in Tinyco have a mid-market price of 50p. If the market makers quote a narrow bid/offer spread (48p and 52p), and you place an order for 4,000 shares at 52p, they face the nasty possibility of being unable to buy the shares for less than 52p. Why? Because it's such a small company with not many shares in issue, and daily trading volumes are small. In contrast, a large company whose shares are traded in volumes of 5m per day, will have a fairly narrow spread, because the market maker will have no trouble fulfilling an order at a predictable price.
Who decides upon the spread and who profits by it? Sometimes it has been almost as much as 5% What are the motives for varying it?
I guess the most important role of Myners will be to recrut and appoint the new Chief Exec.......as I have said, if it is perceived as a good appointment, then that could give a dramatic uplift to the share price. It all looks quite positive going forward.......but he cannot afford to balls it up!
it seems to me that all these directors get paid enormous sums of money, but do we the shareholders. know what they get paid for? What is their job spec? How do we hold them accountable if we do not know if they are succeeding in their particular role or task? It is just too much of a cosy blanket to simply say the' company needs to increase it's profits'. I'd like to know what is being done right now and what steps are being taken to ensure share holder value.
Peel Hunt has placed its forecast and target price under review. "Once the speculation has faded the company will still face important structural issues," it says. It will indeed. Elsewhere, Numis Securities has cut forecasts for this year by 15%, and now expects adjusted pre-tax profit of £15 million, giving adjusted earnings per share of 4p. At 51p, Huntsworth shares trade on almost 13 times forward earnings, dropping to just over 11 in 2015. Numis still reckons the shares are "materially undervalued" and sticks with its 60p target price. There's that dividend, too. Huntsworth kept the interim payout at 1p and there's a prospective dividend yield of 7.4%.
People prefer to roll the dice on high risk shares rather than a patient sure thing.
Sorry for probably asking a stupid question But why does this share not seem to have many trades ? I'm thinking of buying in at 100k As I've seen sharp movement over the months on several occasions
Yes, you need to be very patient with this one.......but hopefully some good news will be in the pipe line. News of a new Chief Executive Officer will help boost the price, plus the possibility of new digital orders from Asia and around the world, plus the effects of the economic upturn and the effect of Lord Myners. Just what he actually does for his money I cannot imagine.......but he is very experienced and a responsible safe pair of hands......I hope he starts cracking the whip and pushing to get more orders! Maybe some of my other readers out there can throw some light on the role of Lord Myners in the company.
very excited to see where this will end up.
Gosh! With a 7%+ spread, you wil have to pay near to 60p for these shares. What is going on?
........yes it is all very worrying that the bull market is so mature..........but the market does what it wants to do........and it can go to really stupid valuations before popping! I don't think that valuations are stupid enough yet.......and may not be until May 2015. There could be a correction...........but with UK elections in 2015 and USA .elections in 2016.......things will only get better. And it looks as if some QE may be on the way in the EU before the end of the year.
Very strange the market being up this morning,i don't trust it,lets see what happens later
The uncertainty with this so called aid convoy and the shooting down of a mig 29 wont assist the situation. Maybe Hnt should do a good news pr channel.
HNT went up another 2p just before the close even with the news about Ukraine was out. What happens on Monday to the markets I wouldn't like to guess
It was doom and gloom for this share and the outside world. Then some big buys and an update that wasn't as bad as feared. The outside world started to get better dragging most things up. Then late Friday............. We have a couple of days for things to sort themselves out but we might end up back on the rollercoaster.
