I am hoping to make a little bit on Darktrace over the next month. Assuming Haleon sp stays put or drops a bit I will be adding the proceeds into Haleon . I wonder if the gsk logos on products like tooth paste will have to be changed to Haleon logo one would assume so. :-) .
Ripley94....good trading...GSK is ex-dividend tomorw lets see what impact it has on Hln SP.... Gla
Got Friday's sale back for 259p not a bad trade for 3 days using extra booked money .
Main market so stamp tax .
Message to the executive board:
Write a big fat apology letter to Unilever and inform them we will be glad to take their kind offer for Haleon after all.
I agree about cutting the debts, the thing is, this split was touted as being great for shareholder returns. The GSK dividend has been slashed and no word at all about what Haleon intend to do.
Also the SP on both did not exactly explode on the announcement of the split or the split itself.
I don't think this has been good at all for Holders. It might come good(it might not) but how much do we lose in the meantime?
Don’t know obviously. But hope they don’t. Put the money into cutting the debts.:-).
You might have wait until they release the interim results on 19.09.2022 for that information
Does anyone know when Haleon is going to start dividend payments?
Down today on poor China data I suspect....they are heading for recession too...loans downs and people even paying debts back early....retail sales poor
Bayer brought Monsanto Roundup in 2018 and did so knowing of the ongoing litigation and knew it would cost another $30 billion in lawsuits.
GSK developed Rantadine in 1989 and it was prescription only- it went to Generic in the USA an OTC in 1995.
Since that time every maker of Zanatac as there own liability, as when it went generic nobody forced any company to make it and GSK did not enter into OTC sales.
Suspect Johnson Johnson Tal powder will cost JJ over $350 billion in claims for Cancer though
Lex in the FT was drawing a direct comparison with the troubles of Bayer with "Roundup" litigation .
To declare in interest I sold out my entire holding last week after holding them since I don't know when.
an attempt at a subtle p1sstake?.
When you read posts such as..what is going on here..
Perhaps spend 60 seconds reading about last week's events.
To be fair that may leave you little the wiser
as possible litigation unknowns abound.
how do you even begin to quantify this.
Read my chat Sunday 17:10
WTF is actually going here. constant declines!!!
I wonder how much Haleon will be worth in two years time or what it will go for if a takeover emerges. My personal view is that a company from across the pond will put a bid in. :-).
Did Unilever offer 50 Billions for what Haleon is today, as product range, cash, debt, assets etc? if the answer is yes, why is the market cap only 25B? Or Unilever put in a very generous offer and GSK foolishly declined it?
Then again the market may look upon it favourable as it could have been left in its original form which would of cost pharma companies a lot more. :-).
A key change is the provision allowing the federal Medicare health plan for older and disabled Americans to negotiate lower prescription drug prices. Copied .
Better to read the bill, it will explain it far better than me. :-)
Seaking1, surprised that pharma prices aren't already agreed before being used !!
Sold first buy of Thursday back yesterday Friday for 270p .
More then paid for bike repair .
Went to 275p by midday .
Biden is signing off a bill that will effect the pharma industry as firms will have to negotiate with the gov prices that they charge for drugs in the future.
Issue is alot clearer now after RNS update , should be a slow n steady rise back to 2.90p ish , probably couple of months.....GSK n Pfizer are the largest holders here bound to have a effect ....Gla
"May be required to indemnify GSK or Pfizer". Bizarre but surely most unlikely.
RR2022, another red share, like a bad smell or omen, everywhere you go is red! Here's another.
No wonder you never have an opinion anywhere, if you ever need lessons son just let me know.
