Dividends mentioned but not dated.....waiting board approval......ATB
Good chance that Haleon will drop a bit over the next week or so due to feds rate decision which will be another .05 or .075 rise. :-(. Looking to see if I can offload without to much of a dent.
Of course everyone has heard of Haleon. We have Haleon lights everywhere.
Useful post casapinos, however in the short term something is driving it up. Quite strong today, might achieve 266 or even 280 over the coming days. If you're right about the share overhang though, then we could see some serious stagnation or falls in the future. Spread on this is low so it's great to trade.
Happen= haleon
Give them time . The label will change to happen. Your right about gsk ads I’ve oticedquite a few recently. The power of advertising.
I noticed that as well and thought hang on a minute isn't that Haleon now? I suspect most of the non share owning public have never even heard of Haleon.
Panadol just advertised on SKY TV as a GSK product. whole things seems to be a dogs dinner.
Anyone watching this stock with a view to a purchase needs to be aware of the huge overhang of stock holdings left by the split with holders who are committed to selling down their holdings.
my rough calcs from the various RNS 's published before and after the split reveal these:
GSK nominees 12.94%
Berkeley sq ( A GSK Subsid) 6.52%
Pfizer 32%
Glaxo(another GSk subsid) 5.4%
So around 56% of the stock is not on the market and the "Split docs "make it clear that both GSK and Pfizer intend to sell
In addition, HLN are committed to getting net debt :EBITDA down to < 3X by the end of 2024 so their freedom to pay divis is extremely limited.
I have said before(several times since the split announcement) that I think this co. is a poor investment and will remain so , recent SP action reflects that.
A 60% drop from current levels seems a bit overcooked in my book, unless you are expecting the Zantac lawsuit to come to fruition?
I'm currently hedging my bets and will continue to build a position here. Bought some this morning @ 255. Premium personal healthcare will always attract in my book.
... up to a year/ year&half (to maybe a bit longer).
In the meantime enjoy any rallies that tickle your fancy as no one knows anything for sure of course.
This is the only post I expect to make between then and now :)
(Sold my GSK shares before the hivving-off of HLN for a reasonable profit).
Yes, thanks for that Casapinos, :-).
Navy feet, that had me in stitches ,well done. :-).
Seaking.... most of these are NED's ie Non-executive director, what that means is they don't actually have a full-time job with the company, they turn up at board meetings (hopefully ) having read the documents for discussion and offer their " expertise" in the discussion. They may only attend a dozen one-day board meetings a year and so it's generally the case that they hold several such posts.
You need to stop doing that, it's a filthy habit.
I do believe I’ve picked the bottom for once. Then again:-).
You have my utmost sympathy.
Haleon not gsk although I like majority have shares in both.
Plus the buggers only need to turn up at a few meetings to get the remuneration. Bent, bent ,bent. :-).
These multi directorships should be banned . They get paid by GSK plus the bloody free shares they accumulate. Having other directorships interferes with the job they are paid for here and the money is not peanuts.
While I build a position for future income I'm afraid I'm happy to watch it move lower.
Sorry
Its not unheard of for a director to sit on more than one BOD.
call me dumb what does arvinas has anything to do with haleon? same company?
Anyone have an insight into the significance (if any) of today's RMS:
Director Declaration - Change in External Directorships
In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.14R, Haleon plc announces that John Young has joined the Board of Directors of Arvinas, Inc. with effect from 18 August 2022.
dropping each day. hopefully moving up soon
