I'm very confused about why CEO David Minchin recently left HE1 only to go & join a another Helium explorer start up in Montana - (HEX) - in the the USA.
Is anyone here able to tell me why Minchin left HE1 ? I had seen a vague post here some time ago darkly implying some sort of skullduggery which simple said "the reason David Minchin abandoned HE1 suddenly is a long story".
So what is that 'long story' ? It might be important to know as I want to invest a fair chunk in HE1 in a couple of months or so.
Does David Minchin know something about the future of HE1 us investors here don't know ?
I think he was pretty much forced to resign after by allowing an unproven claim of 'discovery' to be announced (and retracted) without first informing the market or/and the company's NOMAD.
Then again, there may also have been an element of issue with the board/SC, and the subsequent change of control/coup to bring in the ex-Orca crew and LB's appointment, shifting the company from a mining approach to an O&G approach. Just speculation...
But in answer to your crude attempt at posting FUD... no, don't think so. I think HE1 remains probably the closest prospect to major commercial returns on pure helium discovery anywhere in the world, and I'm sure DM is knows that (as he knew they were onto a major discovery back in 2021, hence the frustration at not being able to prove it at the time).
I was aware that my very genuine enquiry could be construed as being a deramper posting fear, uncertainty & dismay type rubbish.
But it wasn't. It was a genuine nagging curiosity I have as it does seem odd. And the sort of reasons you gave for his departure just confirm that curiosity & it does seem that you probably are vaguely correct. In which case it demonstrates how dim-witted & childish even board directors of companies can be when they squabble like infants over trivia.
Reason he left would not be disclosed but to leave with immediate effect is as to take no information with him , very often kicked out !
Good luck Lorna , I have every confidence In her!
The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Lorna Blaisse, currently Principal Geologist at Helium One, as CEO of the Company with immediate effect and, following completion of the required AIM regulatory due diligence, it is intended that Lorna be appointed as a Director of the Company.
Lorna is a skilled Exploration Geologist with over 17 years’ experience in exploration and appraisal of oil and gas projects across Africa. She has direct experience of rift basin geology, having worked in the Lake Albert Rift Basin in Uganda, the Termit Basin in Chad as well as operational experience managing and delivering successful exploration campaigns in Central and East Africa.

No problem, hard not to be sceptical on this board! Just for info, he didn't leave "to join a another Helium explorer start up in Montana". He was unemployed, the did some advisory for Mossman (god help him) on their helium play in Australia, then landed the exploration role with HEX. Hopefully he does well there.
Before my time here............!
But from what Blubay has posted, ie " without first informing the market or/and the company's NOMAD", this is not trivial mugwump083...........!
and no suggestion of squabbling like infants either.........! :)
All the best (he was sacked then..........! :()
Basically, someone Tweeted the 'Discovery' word, causing market jump and then quickly deleted it.
Still not trivial Blubay........!
is it...........? :)
All the best (defo lack of professionalism........! :()
Not just Minchin who left but the co-founder(s) of HE1 who are now also at another helium company Pulsar Helium..
I actually thought he went to Mosman oil and gas direct from HE1 first?
"Not just Minchin who left "
That's right, the company was quickly restructured in early 2023 (after the 'discovery' at Tai in 2021-22). The company's approach was changed from expertise in mining to expertise in O&G. The original team was replaced, with new directors who were previously in senior positions at Orca Energy (which operates Tanzania's offshore gas fields).
