IOCs should reject the offer and ask for £30.63 😂
If this is all made up you have to give credit to whoever came up with £20.61. That is a very precise figure.
Atb to all holders
One word answer Blu:
corruption.
Deal agreed or not ?
The SP should have not been this low in the first place considering we are debt free, millions in the bank, producing close to 40k pbd bringing in 10m plus a month with huge potential once the pipeline opens which will happen soon or later
There was a piece much earlier today on kurdustan24.net for the locals but not the English version.
It simply stated that the two governments had agreed a price.
It did not mention a what the agreed figure was or what part if any an IOC had played in the process.
It implied the KRG was now happy to begin exporting but didn’t say that the IOCs had agreed to anything.
$20.61 is four significant figures, where are they getting that degre of precision from?!
Just had an email to say GKP moving so thought I’d have look. A little late in the day which always arouses my suspicions. I’ve been away for a bit and not paying too much attention so forgive my ignorance but, what has been agreed prior to this potential costs deal, is this the last hurdle before exports can resume.
Apparently there was a presentation??? This was posted on another bb.. If true this will re rate
The natural resources minister of KRG said that they have signed an agreement with ICG ON Production price of 20.61$ per barrel. The agreement was without including IOCs in the signing, but IOCs helped talking with ICG on technical matters.
Ahahhahhaaaaaaaaaaa...did you forget a /sarc??
Climate Armageddon, coming to a cinema near you. I'll take an upside of your prophesy Mr Belnobrains. Come on back to us in, what, 2 years?, 2026? and I'll take your pseudo-voodoo science laden doom money on Iraq being a dustbowl (it is however, in the desert so you'll have to ascribe some more critical thinking to what might be worse than a dustbowl)
Fancy a bet on snow being a thing of the past or the waterfront in NY City being underwater in the same time span?
Idiot.
I bloody hope so Jens. We've been waiting long enough!
Haha to pay to play in your pipe
You had mushrooms for lunch ?
?
Does this have legs?
Turkey would love to co-operate with Iraq and build a gas export pipeline. However Iraqi, suspicion and religion, then throw in blatant corruption and greed on every level and you have the perfect storm of never getting it achieved.
Iraq after Russia is one of the worst polluters of greenhouse gasses in the world, doing substantial flaring. USA could help them overcome this problem and turn it into a huge credit with essential electricity generation which they need desperately. However have to put the record straight by strict adherence to contracts signed by all in Iraq and not try to cheat companies after they have provided their side of the deal.
Iraq is positioned to be one of the worst effected countries as global warming continues to accelerate rapidly.
It will become a total dustbowl, and not sustainable for its population in only a couple of years because current temp increases are just far to rapid.
Going to say this now and sorry if it hurts those with sensitivities, they are not welcome in the UK after being a primary cause of the problem, trying to cheat mainly UK investors from contractual earned income, and failing to deal with the serious issues which they could do so if they wished.

OH, thanks for quick and comprehensive reponses guys.
lots of expertise on this site….. how did we all get involved in such a clusterflux of a share ;(
I think LSE listing rules state if a party acquires more than 30% of shares they trigger a take over warning. I know Abramovich sold down some Evraz shares to keep himself under the 30% threshold (a long time before the war). Who's accumulating share in volume? Everyone here seems more worried some hedge fund opened up a small short position lol
Typo in the 1st line.....
"can tend to happen"
Inv....
Hostile takeovers, even on the QT, tend not to happen.
https://www.investopedia.com/terms/h/hostiletakeover.asp
To deter the unwanted takeover, the target company's management may have pre-emptive defences in place, or it may employ reactive defences to fight back.
Generally, the hostile takeover signifies the target is significantly undervalued, in most cases, such an approach impacts shares in the target Company by increasing share price.
You need to ask Perella Weinberg maybe? (As Roy Keane would say, that's their job)
Question: if an entity is quietly accumulating our shares, having bought out 51% via proxy agents etc., could they then force through a takeover at substantially under market value.
Could the BoD block such a sell out on behalf of the minority shareholders ?
Hopefully they don't have anyone on the inside and want to lose a lot of money.
I am a bit lost with short positions right now. Few jumped in and out recently, but only one on the profit side increase holdings. Is it because they can risk a bit more than the others? Or we shareholders can't see what is going on with it?
Well at least they are still talking and discussing the issues. Wonder if the pressure from John Kerry has anything to do with it. No USA dollars if they cant reach agreement to export crude would be my bet.
Wonder how much it would cost for the IOC's to build their own damn pipeline 0_o
Yet another chapter of interminable meetings - called by ICG Oil Minister Hayyan this time…..
The skies over Baghdad will be black with private jets inbound from Erbil, and roads will be blocked with truckloads of (approved) biscuits.
What an ongoing pantomime of incompetence and self enriching point scoring at the expense of us little IOCs and the peoples of Iraq.
Good day to all long termers. Hope all is well.
Cheers
