Slowly climbing
... a matter of time with this one - especially after recent RNS
Got into this hopefully looking for a quick exit. I see some pretty positive movement coming, and some big buys yesterday
Just this one line on the site under rumours section: Rumours that Lamping, a Chinese zinc miner, might be mulling a bid for Griffin Mining
i saw those 2 huge buys yesterday within 2 minutes £3.75m each thats interesting must be a fund
..could only deal by phone on IG, for now.
I have seen that info before ..the SP wont move much until some hard financial; data comes out then the big boys will move if its good and the SP will surge . its a matter of credibility.
porbably been posted but here it is again Griffin Mining Limited ("Griffin" or the "Company") is very pleased to announce the latest JORC reported Mineral Resource for Zone III at its Caijiaying Mine in the People's Republic of China. The results confirm increased grade and Measured Resources from that previously reported in the Micromine 2002 Mineral Resource Estimate, and extensive resources and long mine life for the continuing mining operations at Zone III. Highlights include: 1. The addition of 4.7 million tonnes @ 6.7% Zinc, 0.9 g/t Gold, 34.3g/t Silver and 0.4% Lead to the Measured Resource at Zone III, containing: · 318,000 tonnes of Zinc metal · 19,000 tonnes of Lead metal · 131,000 ounces of Gold · 5,200,000 ounces of Silver 2. The following increase in the grade of the Indicated Resources in Zone III: · 36% Increase in the Zinc grade · 16% Increase in the Gold grade 3. The following increase in the grade of the Inferred Resources in Zone III: · 51% Increase in the Zinc grade · 90% Increase in the Gold grade This Mineral Resource estimate includes a conservative recalculation of the resource at Zone III in light of the grade control drilling undertaken during the 5 years of successful mining operations at Caijiaying, with a reinterpretation of the structure of the ore bodies. The deeper Mineral Resources have not been included and will be evaluated in light of the proposed drilling program to be undertaken in 2010 which will provide a better understanding of the deeper mineralisation at Zone III. Drilling along strike and south of Zone III, towards Zone II, is having success with several holes intersecting mineralisation over the IP anomalies that were located in the 2008 IP survey program. The results have provided the necessary confidence to commit to a 25,000 metre surface and underground drilling program in 2010 which may enable an estimate to be made to JORC reporting standards on the Mineral Resource located in the area between Zones III and II.
well GFM has been trying to increase ive noticed on 2 occasions its gone up like 4/5 p on a particular day -but then the next day it drops back-Just when you think this is it...it falls back!! How frustrating........................GLA
I have confidence.. I have a 'standing order ';in place; for that @ 35.00..Just in case.. !! A yr . from now, ? Zinc, Lead, Gold & Silver will be in demand and, if all goes well with the gfm mine,..... who knows. Just like ANGM. of which I am into. Similar business.
£50k thats a big chunk of confidence .
I have been known, also, for a certain level of sceptical satire, on occasion! However, I always put my money where my mouth is!! ATB
..much nearer towards 40p, I'm in for another £50K - that reflects my confidence.
I was not in this stock in the old days ,but i am a cynical old bugger
No pant-wetting here, mate :) As long as it trends upwards, that will be fine with me. NB In the “good old days” we did used to get some good movement climbing to 120p, oscillating around 70-90p, then decaying right back down again. I’m virtually at breakeven point with my most recent foray, I have a fair exposure, here, and I'm certainly very confidence on future growth. ATB
Just dont wet your pants expecting anything too stellar ,like some people do jsut a steady tick.tick up unless any bad new comes out or the chinese do something silly, reinstating a dividend i think will be 2011 as it will be a trend in other companies and the herd instinct will kick in in boardrooms.
But I would most definitely expect a general upward trend from now on, …..or, perhaps, the world really is flat after all! ATB
I suspect that we we see the SP fall victim to daytrading volatility in the short run, but slowly tick up over the next few months
So this is a conservative recalculation of the shallow resources [excl. deeper zone] that shows a significant upgrade – obviously cheaper and easier to exploit. Will we finally start to see a reflection of this value in the SP?
Chairman Mladen Ninkov commented "The new resource statement provides for a 35 year mine life within just the defined shallow resources at Zone III at the increased throughput level of 750,000 tonnes per annum expected to be reached in the later half of 2010. This new resource statement ignores the deeper ore in Zone III, the new resources at Zone II and the significant resources believed to be contained in the large area between the two zones. This is a wonderful result for shareholders and their continued faith in the Company which, in addition to the cash balances of in excess of $65m in the Group, sets the Company up for a successful and exciting future."
