Bought at 30p and now I'm finally after 10 months out @ 45p! a nice 50% gain :-) I should have sold it @ 44 after 3 weeks after buying it....Dammm. had to wait so long. If I hadn't been so greedy.. I would have made more in the short term. Rather take small quick profits!!! and in the end you will end up with more!
which sites are u looking at about GFM
I agree to a certain extent. However, I’ve made significant money, here in the past. As I said the other week, if it drops below, or even around ,40p – I’ll buy a whole bunch more. Commodity-wise, there is a great potential, here. ATB
there are some seriously hacked of people on the web about GFM and it's all aimed at the board This was a promising company but nobody wants to know them now.
thanks got the info from spitfire web site as follows. The percentages of shares not in public hands at admission is as follows: Griffin Mining Limited 39.17% Genex Limited 30.42% Spitfire Oil directors 1.88% Significant Shareholders Significant shareholdings are: Griffin Mining Limited 39.17% Genex Limited 30.42% Kefco Nominees Pty Ltd 7.10% Mrs Lisa Revelins 3.34% it depends what griffin paid for the shares but i dont think they have taken a hit on them so the last rns should not directly affect gfm too much
See my post and link on 12th March, mate - Subject: "I believe GFM has +/- 40% interest." ATB
Can anybody please tell me how what happens to spitfire oil affects gfm? Does gfm have shares in spitfire?
If it goes sub-40p, as mentioned last week, I’m going to buy a pile more, ATB
Blue it was on investigate site ..the reason for the special meeting was due to technical problems and not getting the results from conversion of coal to oil .
Where did you get that news, mate?
Spitire oil has had a major technical hitch and had to shut operations so Thats why GFM is taking a hit so i have decided to quit GFM

I may have suspected why people arent switched on to this share. Perhaps it is the lack of quick profits and big gains. Think this will see old levels personally, albeit on a longer time frame than other miners

Talk in the press yesterday of a takeover. At this price the Company is an absolute bargain. Potential bidder is Chinese and some large trades gone through. Everything I research about this Company is positive and with a market cap of just £80 million the potential appears fantastic. As I have asked on here before am I missing something.
I think we will really know that things are heading North, big-time, when the spread becomes reasonable, here
cash in the bank , no placements, extended licence in China , minimal losses in global recession. Not really sure how much better the company could have done & talk of getting rid of the board is nonsense to me. Just becasue there isn't an RNS every week people think the company is badly run. If there is no news , there is no news & no point releasing some tin pot RNS to keep a few PI's happy. 50p by the end of this month , £1 by this time next year.
the board are getting slated everywhere Is it time for them to go?
this share is prime for daytraders due to it volatility and medium term upside....as so it seems true analysing the last 3 days trades shows typical daytrader activity .
Well I was quite surprised once I read into the company more. Very surprised that not alot of people are switched on to this one. I mean if you were taking a long term position, you could easily look towards £1 as a target. If I didnt already have a major holding, or if I release funds and this sp is still an attractive buy, I may even shift to a longer term position
I have been singing the praises of this company for quite a while.
I have a long term stake in GFM ,..strategy ...well we have had all the promises and rumours and shocks... the shutdown last year took the wind out of the sails...but now the company is in full production but people want hard financial data and solid results before real belief supports major share price rise .
I will just talk to myself to pass the time. We ticked up .25. Slowly creeeping up.
Should try and get the chat going on here lol, pretty quiet. The gfm chat on iii was last active in 2008 I think. Soo what is anyones strategy in here? Long term short term? I am aiming for a 50p exit. Not a major profit but just to take a little profit if possible. Figured the historical prices were near enough to 90p before the big decline, and in general we have seen a recovery of the sp recently, plus rumours of a takeover. Expecting demands for zinc etc to pick up, so Just looking for a slow but steady tick up to 50p
Reading into the company more, after my original idea of a quick exit. This is actually a pretty decent company. Looks really good stable firm. Iam surprised it is not as well known on the boards. I would expect a slow steady rise over the next few months or so.
