ukraine govt is crazy but stop, talking about "the russian threat". You know nothing about Putin the only honest, extremely clever and hard working statesman in the whole world;you just listen unintelligently to the mantra constantly given to you.
Mmmm now that’s an interesting reply, not so sure on the honesty bit, wait did the takeover of Crimea never happen? Or wait it belonged to them anyway.
I think we are looking at around 12% yield at this sp, well worth some risk, two days of divi to come. Gla
I sold out at 196p without bothering about the dividend, and havent bought back in again yet.....it has been pretty volatile recently ....up 5%+ yesterday, down again today
.....the yield is a bit misleading in the sense that the shareholder doesnt end up with that, given the Swiss dividend tax ..but still.....as a result, some investors prefer to trade around the ex div days, rather than go for the dividend
Not sure what divi payment I’ve got, recieved one today into my accounts but nothing yesterday so I assume we are working one day behind.
I’ll get around 5k this time, some I’ve put into a placing in Odx and rest will be either fxpo or Aviva, I’m not playing this stock for mass % growth, more interested in collecting some good yielding divis and reinvesting which is all positive at the moment as some are on hold.
Would expect an update next week in July, based on cash and progress this might lead to insight of next payment pretty soon. Either more of these or another relatively safe stock, gla
Has anyone here ever applied for the 20% rebate from the Swiss inland revenue?
Good point General. Mine were in an ISA, so shouldn't have had it deducted in the first place. Will raise with Broker next week . Had about £450. Half in ISA and half in ordinary account. So quite a large holding which I offloaded thank heavens. Was going to hold out for £3 but stakes were just getting too high.
Can you let us know what the broker says, mine are in isa and SIPP and no idea how to claim anything more
Why would having the shares in an ISA make any difference ?

maybe I can claim back years of tax ?
Switzerland, UK residents need to complete a Form 86. There are different forms for other nationalities. The standard Swiss withholding tax is 35% (versus 15% in the treaty with the UK), so this one is particularly worth reclaiming, but unfortunately the process has become more bureaucratic in recent years.
I did have a look and downloaded the form, just that it looks a little convoluted and wanted to know if anyone else has managed to get a refund before... needs stamping at the local tax office etc etc, can’t blame the Swiss for trying to dissuade it ;) seems they only want it done at the end of the year for divis received so maybe not that much work really
Not been holding long here and collected my first divi today but think the 20% rebate is worth filling a few forms in for even if it is a pain
Onwards and upwards GLA
It's 35% not 20% and don't bother. The Swiss ain't giving it back.
Blood from Stone, but Money advice say: Dividends received by pension funds or received on shares within an ISA will remain tax free. So since ISA's are run by and the responsibility of provider it should be their job to claim it back
*15% moneybox, I’m claiming mine back that much is for sure
GeneralLevy
how to do it ? tax
GeneralLevy
please let know how you get on with the tax rebate I will try 2.
moneybox
your right it is 35%
Dividends paid from Swiss capital companies to Swiss residents and non-residents are subject to 35% withholding tax. Shareholders resident abroad may obtain relief under the appropriate double taxation treaty. There is no federal withholding tax on royalties.
