Similar story for me, although I was in a little earlier around £10. Think patience will be rewarded in the end.
Was pleased to see that Odyssean Investment nudged their holding up again with RNS at the close on Fri. Some bigger fish seeing value at these levels.
Things must be tougher than even I thought, with the Foundation selling shares yesterday, due to dividend cessation. Both Odessyean and FIL have bought large tranches recently, with OIT being particularily adept at picking companies with medium term prospects with a condensed portfolio.
Tick in the box for me.
I must have similar thoughts to Mary here having doubled up at 251p. Been a while since initial purchase at 855p in 2021 but added around this area at opportune momentys.
Have a soft spot for James Fishers due to the Charitable Foundation doing a lot for peops in Barrow in Furness - it certainly needs it, as the towncentre is a ghetto and peops that can move, are heading out to Ulverston to live.
You could be fooled by the 3 Vessels moored up in the docks, strangely in James Fisher colours, that have not moved for decades - PNTL vessels Egret,Heron,Grebe that were destined for Nuclear Fuel transportation.
Lets hop the falling knife is scarbarded !!
Falling knives have plenty of opportunities Peaky - this one no exception !
Mary and her amazing falling knife recommendations... Lol
Need some Director buys here or this is gonna keep sliding.....
This reminds me of the WG. keep adding until it turns and then it will eventually. Eventually the selling stops.
Good luck. I had a little day trade here on Friday and made a profit from 2.85 and sold at 2.93. almost got in again today at 2.60 but didn't feel like the bottom. Surprised to see it in the 2.50s. I will watch. I don't think the submarines issue has gone down well reading the other board. Will see how tomorrow goes. Might dip in if we have another leg down . Are you still in SDRY Mary as haven't seen your posts on there. Traded a little bounce there today but v risky I think . GLA
Certainty creating a buying opportunity at the moment, average just over £3 having travelled down from £10+ and £8+ etc.
Feel a double coming on again the sharper the drop.
This one is a hobby stock for me and intend to average down to £0 with the volatility.
NeverGiveUp.
How's this one going for your Mary?
Added more will ride this dragon back up again
Bottom drawer stuff, for me, will take longer for sure! I'll just hang on to my shares, rightly or wrongly!!
Do you still predict 700p in six months time, Dr P?
Part added hedging bets
Yes no masking the profit warning and the misplaced optimism of late - the last time out the 255- 267 rewarded well. MAybe worth a wait but tempting on the next gap down.
Was pleased to hear that trading in line, although was really hoping for things to have picked up a bit more. Can see why we’re probably headed back down to the £2.60 range with the market possibly looking unfavourably at this section from statement “While revenue from larger project orders within Defence was lower than anticipated in the year, as procurement timelines were extended by customers”. I’ll hold
or look to top up gently as it slides below the £3 mark and practice patience some more! Good luck all
Thanks both, I fully agree with the sentiments!!
Would be useful to get some positive updates in due course...
Positive momentum so far this year. Multi million pound long term contract secured in November for operation/maintenance at Triton Knoll wind farm. Energy division looks to be doing particularly well. Also, institutional investor, Odyssean Investment Trust, increased holdings by 1.75% recently. Final results/trading update ought to make interesting reading.
I add / trim the moves and average down - was extremely oversold at 267p so very happy at the moment. The money sloshing about the O&G sector made it a buy for me and I will lighten up ... the momentum was there to go higher at 420p but it turned tail. I think the upside is at least to 425 on positive update due shortly.
If not I will be adding at 267p again ::)
I'm holding and optimistic about the various strategic changes made so far, so happy for it to go up...but with no news, why do you think it has upwards momentum, MaryBr?
Just wondering.
Keep motoring
