What are peoples thoughts on what the SP will do on the run up to the HY results?
I'll be honest, I expected a sightky more exciting reaction to the SP today, but it get this is just the trading update and not the HY results. I feel there is still some uncertainty around Iran and Israel that is holding the SP back from taking a larger step forward today, which is a shame for everyone that is invested, including myself.
I hope this has a steady upside moving towards 16th May, as long the middle east doesn't blow its top. There's massive potention here for Easyjet, we can all see that from the trading update today. I think its just going to be more of a mid to long term investment.
Nice to see that oil price increase isn't going to effect them currently and that they have had strong sales with plenty of bums in seats.
Where is Nutmegmilk these days? On his easyjet holiday somewhere?
No I didn't Tom - thanks for the heads up :)
Clank, did you see United Airlines hit 17%+ last night? It certainly took off!
I happily stand myself corrected, its gone up over 4% now .
There is too much uncertainty in the Middle East for any airline share to take off at the moment regardless of how great results are unfortunately.
Taverham. Delayed take off but with a tailwind we should make up time if there's no turbulence.
I was hoping the sp would take off and fly much higher this morning!
Excellent, but as I said a few days ago. It just means we're 10% lower than last weeks high. What a difference a week makes. Maybe last week we would have popped over £6. Oh well, I'm holding out for closet to £7. Will take time but barring WW3 might get there.
Was expecting more of a spike up tbh
Just popped in to say well done EZJ
£600M profit and 3% div would be nice. That would be 15 % of the net worth so could afford a 75p divi by my reckoning.
A good and solid set of results. The ME issue will not have that much of an impact, the route network is strong enough to take any disruptions from that region. Company will still maintain circa 3k flights per day and with the introduction of alternative fuels (SAF/hydrogen) combined with modern, efficient fleet the successful holiday division the future is good.
easyJet are good at the core business fundamentals.
I think that if it was £6 most people would be massively disappointed. Super results. The summer season promises to deliver massive profits.
H1 loss is inevitable as the fleet and staffing are optimised for the summer and inefficient for the winter. H2 will produce massive profit.
easyJet holidays continues to exceed expectations even in the winter period. It could easily overtake the airline profitability in the next few years. Still only a tiny percentage of capacity will be in the holiday business.
We are seeing a longer summer season this year as people learn climate change lessons and holiday earlier and later for the best weather.
Chance of £6 today? Or close to it. Then next week £6+?
Buying any dips, should see £6 + in the Summer once the Mid East jitters ease.
Let's hope the market agrees.
On target for £600m pbt full year and 3% div.
Let’s hope fictitious beliefs don’t cost more real lives. +50% on share price without the risk of war.

Pretty important to the SP if you are watching that. But I’m in for the long haul. Need to ignore short term setbacks - this is a strong company and it ought to prosper but patience is the key.
Whats happening tomorrow ??
No I was referring to asssk. But if the shoe fits ...
Love how haters ignore October 7th - kidnapping, rape, and mass murder.
Anyway back to EZJ. Bring on tomorrow

It's my birthday tomorrow (don't ask, just old!), and if that article is to be believed, the thought of >£8 in the next 12-24 months would be a superb gift!
