These are not large amounts though Evraz.
$86bn is the size of a reasonable average US company.
Russian investments are not material in terms of the western capital markets.
Those amounts have most likely been provided against.
An Analysis i did some weeks ago and the sources (just an element of the iceberg)
Amounts invested in local Russian business and bonds:
$86 billion
The value of Russian equities held by foreign investors. Roughly $150 billion was held in Russian bonds and stocks by foreign fund managers, according to Moscow Exchange data reported by Financial Times.

Western companies operating subsidiaries in Russia:
Western companies that have continued to operate in Russia since Moscow’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine have generated billions of dollars in profits, but the Kremlin has blocked them from accessing the cash in an effort to turn the screw on “unfriendly” nations.
Groups from such countries accounted for $18bn of the $20bn in Russian profits that overseas companies reported for 2022 alone, according to figures compiled by the Kyiv School of Economics, and $199bn of their $217bn in Russian gross revenue.

Here one example :You can download the norges bank pension fund list in summary:
52 positions in Russian Companies on Moex
2 position relating to Poly and Evraz
Examples of such positions:
- 0.96% of all Evraz shares
- 1% of Gazprom
- 2.35% of Poly
The holding is massive!
The amount frozen of foreign governments come on top.
I assume that the investments in cash, stock, funds, bonds, assets, subsidiaries will be well above 500B $ value.
Some larger foreign cash/bonds reserves from other nations are also frozen in Russia.
So there will be a need to get a conclusion. Its unrealistic that all foreign businesses from the west will move out of Russia. All frozen assets need to get concluded.
This looks rather positive for us than negative. 2024 we see our conclusion arriving.
All shareholders of Evraz will be ok.
Have a great December - GLA
U will b buying Russian coal fertiliser gas and oil for many years as u lunatics have stopped producing what u need
Do u uk lunatics not know that 9 million tons of coal went to to ur electric grid lady years to charge ur evs??? Do u uk lunatics know how much lubricant oil goes into wind turbines and their gear boxes ! U r lemmings
They be far more Russian money in the UK than UK money in Russia.
London is swimming in it.
Other than Oil and Gas (which we are self sufficient without and are weaning off towards renewables at a pretty rapid pace) I fail to see what the Russian's have as a bargaining chip.
These amounts for funds like black rock are chicken feed. They've most likely got hedges against those losses as well if they are doing their jobs properly.
"It doesn’t matter because the UK government will never release this from sanctions.
Why would they let all that cash flow back to RA, Putin, etc?"
That's one view.
As has been seen many times though that moneymen are pragmatists, sanctions will end when it suits them. UK money is presently tied up in russ1a. Many far more influential than a few Evraz shareholders will want that released, but..
"LONDON, June 19 (Reuters) - The British government announced plans to tighten its sanctions policy against Russia on Monday, including introducing legislation to keep assets frozen until Moscow has agreed to pay compensation to Ukraine.19 Jun 2023"
And
"BlackRock has incurred a loss of $17bn on its funds exposed to Russian equities following the country’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine, reported The Financial Times. The firm had more than $18.2bn in Russian assets at the end of January 2021. Majority of its funds are currently in limbo after the asset manager was forced to freeze them following the market crash and stringent sanctions announced on the country by the US and its allies.
BlackRock suspended all purchases of Russian assets at the end of February, after its holdings linked to the country fell to less than 0.01% of its assets under management. A spokesperson for the firm cited the markdowns as the reason for the change, rather than asset sales."
Time will tell. The UK will do whatever the USA does.
Not long before this unelected and unelectable uk regime is consigned to history, complete with all its corruption, back handers and complete void of how to behave with the uk electorate.
‘ How long has RA owned shares in Evraz, and what percentage?
Were Evraz good divi payers during that time?
Was Evraz a well run company then ?’
It doesn’t matter because the UK government will never release this from sanctions.
Why would they let all that cash flow back to RA, Putin, etc?
Andrey - Can you pm me please I have quite a few I am willing to sell for $1. Thank you
hi! I sent you a direct message please tell me you got it. Thanks
I see Gulf Marine Services are 13.68p. I gave u this tip at under 5p. I hope you made back ur money on Evraz!
RA will protect all shareholders as much as he is able! He is a fair and straight man! Keep your shares and sit tight!
It would help if your leaders called for peace and a ceasefire as in the middle east. Instead ur leaders are using ur tax dollars to send bombs to Ukraine to kill and destroy. And all to retake the Donbas which is Russian and does not want to be saved! Why does your media not report from the Donbas, interview people in Donetsk, ask them what they want and why they are not fleeing! No your leaders just keep sending weapons and no-one calls for a ceaswfire here!
Andrey - Can you pm me please I have quite a few I am willing to sell for $1. Thank you
"You'll never be able to realise that value though as long as RA and his mates control the UK plc shares."
How long has RA owned shares in Evraz, and what percentage?
Were Evraz good divi payers during that time?
Was Evraz a well run company then ?
'You speak only about the redom of Evraz to Russia but never the upside of NA for Non Russian Shareholders'
You'll never be able to realise that value though as long as RA and his mates control the UK plc shares.
I bought GGP when it was 0.50p and sold in in 2021 23p so you know how much I can earn . With this share only time and when it come back it have more than anything peoples can hope for.
Sorry but I was only joking at £ 6 a share. So Im withdrawing it. NOT EVEN FOR £10 A SHARE now.
You talk some amount of BS AAA. My advice to the BB is relax ignore the noise and wait for official company guidance, patience is required, don’t get persuaded into selling shares adhoc for 1$ a pop or whatever this 🤡🤡 is offering. Peace out ✌️
Investors not traders know that the value of Evraz is north of 5$. Also no need to have an argument about it.
Understand that you see the same value from an ESO side. Others from the NA sale.
I guess we are aligned on this one
Logically speaking the price you paid for something should not in the slightest influence the price you are selling for. It is just a phycological trick your mind plays that the price you have paid really-really matters. In reality it should not matter if you are logical. If somebody sold you fake gold for 500 pounds. You can sell it for 20 pounds or carry it around for the rest of your life trying to sell for 505 pounds. Most people would carry it around and be very upset when people tell them it is fake despite the fact that they know it is fake)
Also we have in our Telegram community way more shares bought at £3-5 than £1. Something not to forget
Just daytrader sell Evraz. Real investors know the true value … way way up/north of 1$.
Have over 24300 shares bought when it 60p
so when it was 60 pennies it was a great fair price but now one and a half years latter I offer 80 pennies for the new Evraz without 90% of its 2022 assets and the price is not fair. Well well well.
I have over 24300 shares bought when it 60p and now see it up but cant sell at moment . Hopefully they will trade soon and may be 10 bags from 60 p entry who know.
Company is still making money only matters of time when the war finishes and we should trade again very soon. There are many UK share holder have benifit on this share so they will make it soon to moving forward and making tax on dealing again.
As long as company exits there is still change we will have our money back soon.
Andreyyyyyyy you can have my shares for £1, not $1 but £1. Let me know if interested?
it all depends on the amount of shares you have and your deal-ability. The more shares the better. Write me a direct message please and anyone else who wants to sell please do so. It is called Private Messaging here. Two things to consider - 1. You have to have a paper certificate, if you are held at the broker with no cert it won't work 2 Minimum amount I consider is 8000 shares
Andrey,
You speak only about the redom of Evraz to Russia but never the upside of NA for Non Russian Shareholders
The receives of the NA Sale can be only used for a non Russian element. bond and shareholders.
There are approx 20% of non russian Bond holders and around 27-28% of shareholder. Not all freefloat is owned by non russian entities.
Nucor is one of the main bidder. NA fit extremely well into Nucors strategy. Last NA based asset they bought in 2022 based on a 13x multiple of 2021 results. 6-7x is standard but increase often due to innovation, future growth.
Pay of the non russian bond component is only 400M USD - it’s obviously clear that the value will be a multiple of your 1usd offer.
I respect and understand your value but Investors in Evraz (not day trader) know the true value upfront. No need to hide this.
Which you luck to find what you look for, but make sure you say the full story.
Thats same facts as you speak about the redom of Evraz in 2024 likely.
