This is so tedious, this is acting like a share does after a profit warning.
What happened to sp trajectory following results/ fundementals
Mema555 same for me. Got some for 864p and long term.
Still some large shorts out there but shareprice not helping them. Must not be easy to close the shorts with not enough sellers out there. Long term hold for me!
Shorts reducing, coming up fast.
Shame the share price doesn't reflect the company fundamentals.
Fallen every day this week.

Possibilty of Lebanon-Israel war and power/gas structures being hit. It is a bit risky now despite excellent cash generation.
What does this mean
Make that treble the dividend amount now.
Something very off about this 14% in a few days
The article is generative AI and a good example of how poorly constructed system can give misleading results. In one of the links the dividend is given in US$ and the earnings in £, hence the idea if you take the crude numbers that more is being paid out than is coming in.
This is now down double the dividend on next to no volume.
That article is an exact coy of one thy put out. around every. ex div date! Lazy writers, no checking of facts. Just ignore it - your. own research is far. better than reading this. rubbsh
What they fail to mention is forecast for earnings this year. A bit backward looking imo

Huge profits following ramp up of production to 123,000 boed average in 2023.
Forecast 155,000 to 175,000 boed in 2024!
2023 revenues climbed 93% to $1.4bn. Underlying adjusted earnings jumped 121% to $931m. Operating profits surged 158% to $598m.
"Since the year end, the start-up of Karish North and the second gas export riser mean we are now able to utilise the FPSO’s (floating production storage and offloading) maximum gas capacity and our production guidance illustrates the next step towards our near-term target of 200 kboed."
Energean plc posted audited full-year results for the year ended 31 December 2023 this morning. The first major step up in Group production has been achieved with FY23 production of 123 kboed (83% gas), up 200% year-on-year, primarily as a result of a full-year of production from Karish (Israel). Management also reconfirmed that day-to-day production in Israel continues to be unimpacted by the ongoing geopolitical developments. Financial performance was commensurately strong. 2023 sales and other revenues were up 93% to $1,420 million. 2023 profit after tax was $185 million up from $17 million in 2022. The Group’s balance sheet was strengthened considerably with Group cash at 31 December 2023 of $372 million and a 50% reduction in Group leverage to 3x. A Q4 2023 dividend of 30 US$cents/share was also declared on 22 February 2024. Valuation remains very attractive with forward PE ratio at just 3.9x and dividend yield over 10%. The share price lacks positive momentum and geopolitical risks remain to the forefront, but the strength of distributions alone makes this an appealing share to own. And management guided for another uptick in production to 155 - 175 kboed in 2024. BUY....

Not sure if we will see much movement on this news downwards. Price is massively depressed and I can’t see much down side. Roll on Thursday
Dissapointed that neither the ENI board meeting or the market update provided an update on Orion. Rig still on-site and presumably still drilling . Hoping it's not a duster but the longer this goes on...
ENI did say during their earnings call on 21 Feb that they were still drilling and had not hit the target yet.
Hoping it is not a duster and a couple of lines added to the update next Thursday , thinking that might be the case but then again Energean have such a small % that I think Eni must announce to the market especially with the well costing a small fortune and lots of media interest. Either way we will know soon. Fingers crossed
During the last operational update on 18 Jan they mentioned that results were expected in 40-60 days. Day 57 now. Lets hope that is a good sign.

I doubt it.
Look what happened when Nasser tried to nationalize the Suez canal!
Default on what it ones to ENOG? I do like the share and am a holder but I didn't factor this in.

Yes, about time ENI told us what was happening.
Great news indeed. Orion drilling results should also be out any day now.
And Mr market is starting to wake up this morning. Really undervalued and especially if we get a ME peace deal. Ex divi date due soon but I am sure this will be absorbed. Today's news underpins the capacity for divi increases. Buy!

The share price is now where it was prior to Oct 7th.
Onwards and upwards......
Shorters start burning ;)
This share 🏓 pings about a bit so any SP appreciation is not baked but catalysts are...
Good deal with Chariot
Prospects of ceasefire in ME
Oversold
Directors buys at the level it was at
High yield which could possibly double
Excellent recent update
Energy stocks back in vogue.
Just my take.
Does anyone know why the price is appreciating now ? I don't see any news or catalyst for this...
Brilliant company and we would be trading a lot higher if it wasn’t for the obvious issues in the area.
Peace deal???!😀
Good progress being made with solid income for the future.
What's not to like about that.

I am a fan. Bought more today. Also been in char for too many years but think the combination in the new license is perfect for both companies. Hopefully good progress aoon, in the meantime will continue to take the 10% div yield. Lets hope the company doubles the div as promissed later in the year!
#CHAR CEO confirms there’ll be exploration drilling of the Rissana license area offshore Morocco (CHAR 37.5%, ENOG 37.5%, ONHYM 25%) in 2024. See the latest proactive video with the CEO for confirmation (1.30)
With ENOG aiming to be the largest independent gas producer in the geo political region, it is totally aligned with CHAR and its shareholders. And unlike a major or a super the time to make decisions and act upon them is much shorter. Make no bones about it; if we had partnered with a major or super, we would not be seeing operations commencing at anywhere near the pace that we are and will be seeing. Expect ENOG to really go after all Moroccan offshore areas. They want to go big and they want to go big quickly, and that’s what ONYHM also want.
Everything is totally aligned here for very fast and scaleable progress.
BTW Auctus adds 641p to the SP for the derisking of the Rissana prospective resources.
Current SP is under 10p!

Irrespective of the excellent results and the hysteria surrounding fossil fuels, this will really motor once things have calmed in the Middle East. Meanwhile I’ve topped up on weakness & will enjoy the growth & dividends. GLA
With that update, baffling reaction.

Its in the calendar section of the Energean website as 18th January 2024
Wouldn't bank on that, they have only gone by last year.
Trading update 18th January according to LSE.

Ditto.
Are we due a TU soon?
Need something to stop this daily slide again.
Dividend received today in AJB account backdated to 29th Dec.
I spoke to them and the excuse was due to new year the cheque is clearing and will be paid this week.
I guess if you're reinvesting it's 10% cheaper than 29th.
This really needs the middle East conflict to resolve to start moving again.
Still not got mine & it's 9th January today with payment day supposedly on 29th December. I'm also with AJB. Is there an issue here? Will contact AJB if not in account by close of play tomorrow (10th Jan).
Not got mine either AJB.
They're normally very prompt.

Iran-backed militias in Iraq claim to have targeted Israeli gas rig in Mediterranean
https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/iran-backed-militias-in-iraq-claim-to-have-targeted-israeli-gas-rig-in-mediterranean/
Last I checked we are on course for a 12% dividend in 2024 although this may have changed with the geopolitical upheaval in the ME and with the investment / farm-in news. Things move very quickly though, just this past week the oil price has rallied nearly 8% on the deteriorating situation in the Red Sea, somewhat zealous headlines pushed by Middle Eastern media outlets to spur on the price of oil (no doubt there are vested interests) and welcome relief for the oil producers who were just a month earlier contemplating sub-$70/bbl prices.

So the loan was converted to shares at 838 and then sokd by Kerogen for 938?
Should these 2 RNS have released the other way round?
Matthews Riggs, CEO of Energean, highlighted the importance of this development for the company’s growth as a leading independent gas exploration and production entity.
“This is a significant step in our further development as an independent and leading gas exploration and production company. These assets are particularly attractive to us, because we understand the core geological, commercial, and political issues that drive the region, we have proven success in developing substantial gas sources intended for local markets, and there is an adjustment and complement to the portfolio here our existing and supply potential to additional markets,” he said.
Energean getting a bargin on a 1Tcf+ gas asset which is ready for production (all contracts signed with Moroccan government). Energean taking a 45% stake, extending to 55% dependent on drill results.
Drill hopefully happening in Q2 2024 (April-June).
Is this not just due to ex-div today?
It's a bad deal for CHAR I suppose but they had no choise. They couldn't develope on their own .
The market/ investorst do not like the deal looking at todays drop in chariots share price.

Court awards Energean full Karish North rights worth $3.4b.
After this ruling ENOG shares are worth a lot more than the current price.
Seems its being shorted from the US also.
It seems it's not a high risk share anymore but certainly a high reward one IMO.

Even if that takes a while, there's a dividend of nearly 3% per QUARTER on it.
BNP Paribas reiterates approx. +70% upside this morning, after the Q3 report yesterday. A friendly reminder that both JP. Morgan and Jefferies issued 1500p & 1555p i.e +65% upside in October, respectively.

Israel accordingly keeps fossil fuel infrastructure in the Mediterranean heavily guarded. “We say that whenever a new offshore installation is approved in Israel the commander of the Israeli navy throws a party because that means he gets a couple of new warships to play with,” Sagi Ganot, the Ministry’s head of upstream regulation and trade, joked on a webinar late last year.
Guess they bought a bit too early as prices got a bit cheaper at points over the last month , but looks like the dividend is great at these levels.. and the price is near £9 today.. I look forward to my first dividend.
Just look at what several insiders did on the first day the market was open after the attack. Surely they understand that this was a steal. The assets are national security: 16 years of gas supplies, all for the local market.
Follow the insiders.
