We now have two remainers in the top positions , fracking has got every chance of being well and truly fracked.
Mira, you missed what I wrote "and liberal MPs within her own party."
You seem to have jumped to conclusions here. Covid the nasty chest infection existed. However, they lied to us about the risk from the virus (like 0.001% danger to the average British person under 70), the NHS pressure (didn't happen) the vaccine effectiveness, they kept it from us the vaccine didn't work in its aim (contagion and spread - it actually increased contagion lol talk about a fail) and it wasn't even tested on human 2 human spread (the stick they used to beat every man, women and unborn child to take their surprise juice).
They lied. They lied about everything. All that was true was that there was a slightly worse than normal flu like bug going about.
Can you imagine being you and not knowing or reacting to this? Data is a thing. Spend a few hours going through the figures instead of spreading misinformation & hate online.
Any further questions?
Wytch Farm had quite a struggle to be developed - and the pipeline was opposed tooth and nail by people like the National Trust as it ran through the New Forest. For years they used railway trucks to move the oil to Fawley.
It wasn't as mad as today but it still wasn't easy
And BP spent a fortune hiding the rigs and landscaping things.
"Its confirmed they lied about Covid now."
Oh dear - it was a ll a dream, family, friends & neighbours of mine never died from it and the whole of the NHS was part of a vast conspiracy to make it all up......... really?
We need a plentiful and guaranteed energy supply to carry our standard of living and improve productivity. How are all the raw materials neccesary to produce wind turbines nuclear reactor vessels ,pipework ,earth moving equipment ,thousands of tonnes of concrete, road surfaceing products,infra- structure for electric cars etc etc. made. Iknow lets build a wind turbine from lego bricks and mechano bits ,thats a start. doh
Its not a question of IF its a question of WHEN. Do a little research for gods sake. The amount of metal needed to end Fossil would take about 100 years to mine. Its all smoke and mirrors. The Green Ting just isn't happening. Its confirmed they lied about Covid now. Why would anyone believe them about Climate Change?
and it works exactly the same way on here with peoples' investment. Unless of course they live in the area it might happen . The irony to me is the largest onshore oil production field in Europe is based at Wytch Farm and its been there since the 1970s producing away. Set amidst a large number of important conservation areas including marine areas. It has a pipeline to Fawley which has been in operation for yonks Extended drilling wells burrow under some of the most expensive real estate in the world, namely Sandbanks yet this aspect is never mentioned. At its peak it was producing over 100,000 bopd This is chiefly because this large field development happened before the Greens were invented. Most of the population of nearby Poole are neither aware or care about the fact even now that this field has been producing continously since the late 1970s under their noses. Hardly ever mentioned, its a pity the Greens don't drive down in their motorcars to protest. Just shows how ignorant they and many others are when it comes to oild production. For all I know they might have done a bit of fracking round Poole Harbour in the past.
Its not so much about "saving the Planet" - its much more about safeguarding your house price.
If, as the UK has done, you make house owning the major personal investment of the people don't be surprised if they fight tooth and nail against anything (HS2, fracking, new roads, travelers accommodation, new houses) that they fear might damage their investment
"just make sure there is an insurance company to insure their own building "
tell me when you find one
Well said subsea and I couldn’t agree more.
Maybe instead of cash incentives to let fracking happen just make sure there is an insurance company to insure their own building and content insurance companies against any damage claims because of the fracking.
I find it a contradiction that those that want to "Save the planet" aren't concerned about the carbon footprint of unregulated and in some cases nefarious extraction methods of hydrocarbons overseas.
This is before adding on the additional carbon footprint of transport to the UK. It's almost like non of this matters as long as they can boast of the UK being net zero and they can walk around with their "I've been a good boy" badges of honour.
If we want to save the planet we need to think about the big picture and use our own cheap and easily available resources to make the transition in a timely manner.
If anyones selling mate... they arent buying again.
the market and the nation is goosed. this is it. the end.
with fracking still uncertain, looks like some are selling and now buying EOG? after all, for same Wressle stake, EOG mcap is still half of EDR.
EDR 22m while EOG only 12m mcap
will come back to EDR when there is more certainty of fracking imho
It was 58 - 42 in favour of prioritising the views of local people over more houses
55 -15 in favour of more health spending than education or infrastructure
44 - 30 in favour of protecting the environment even if it harms economic growth and
49 -18 thought growth does more harm than good
the one thing they didn't agree on was Immigration where for and against were dead equal on 40%
"Does this country want to be successful?"
No - according to recent poll in the Economist 53% were against "progress" and only 24% in favour
"The biggest threat to this SP is of course the fake polls and biased media portraying Labour as some sort of saviour and guaranteed election winner. "
Did you read listen or watch any of the Tory party Conference last week?
An awful lot of Tories seem to think Labour will win
1 May 2022 the Company held unaudited cash and cash equivalents of £2.73 million (after repayment of loan to UJO)
Full year results out very soon. Should be excellent, covering the period of very high O&G prices Feb to July.
In march they did 0.9M revenue. Average O&G prices rose from that point.
The drop today is mainly market makers and traders being stopped out, fracking hopefuls reading the Times and people without calculators. Money talks, bull sh*t walks.
oversold
as long as this isn't the prelude to an RNS like RMM or DVRG put out after their drops.
Has anyone looked at how the cash balances look here?
We have no choice. As things deteriorate it will become clear how important it is for our Country. Being a large holder I have no choice but to hold as trading any quantity is extremely difficult anyway.
I'm maintaining my 'Strong Buy', in a country that isn't as weak as the UK, we'd all be rather wealthy right now. But unfortunately we do live in the UK and have to suck up the falling SP for the time being. Here's my take on where we are at. Firstly, Truss is actually on the right path as to what the UK needs to do post Brexit, they made an error in giving our left leaning media something to chew on when the announced the top rate tax cut out of the blue. That being said, high taxation leads to big problems further down the road as you'll come to find the pot from which you take, gradually gets smaller and smaller. Let's put into perspective though the cost of the top rate reduction, it'd be approx £2bil to the Treasury. Meanwhile our socialist friend Sunak pi**ed away approx £400bn and the media didn't blink an eyelid! The UK has been injecting itself with cheap money (QE) for far too long and post Brexit the markets see us as living beyond our means. The markets are also betting on Truss being unable to actually generate any growth due to left wing eco groups and liberal MPs within her own party. Our energy (or lack of) policy is a good place to look to understand that our government has become weaker and weaker as the decades pass, with no one prepared to take the steps required to turn the ship around. The biggest threat to this SP is of course the fake polls and biased media portraying Labour as some sort of saviour and guaranteed election winner. If Starmer wasn't so pathetic and appeasing the left whingers with his 'ban fracking' rhetoric this SP would be at least 12p today and climbing.
There must be lots of brown envelopes being delivered at the moment, the answer to the U K financial and energy supply stability is beneath our feet. Never mind l ets all dance around the nuclear fission reactor building sites for ten to twelve years to keep warm, with the added bonus that there will be no need for street lighting ,the glow from the nuclear waste will be enough. Don't worry the economy will shrink to third world status but we will be able to shout from the rooftops that we are 100% green, unfortunately it will be drown out by the rest of the world laughing at us.
IMO, I think Fracking is going to be very unlikely. However, this is now a case of 'know what you own'.
If you just value Egdon on the current operations, and the near term upside of further gas processing at Wressel, you would be looking at well above 4p (21M mcap). We should get some interims this month, which will help put more of a precise value on it. We also have the possibility of planning approval at Biscathorpe though I am not assigning any value to it at the moment and am doubtful of it being allowed, due to the morris-dancer nimbyism displayed yesterday.
This country is too woke to ever do any Fracking.
I just can't think of an appropriate word to describe how disappointed I am with the Conservative Party. It's just incredible. Why don't these MPs just become Labour MPs rather than masquerading as Tories.
Does this country want to be successful?
