Ironic really as it's generally windier up North as well. The government probably apply the same urgency to the grid infrastructure as they do to everything else in the North.
Thanks Mark, a fellow spark! Ive been adding here and there for a while since my original investment at 1.2. Just thought it strange that the ask was 3.0 which is not what I paid and shown as a sell.
Well the trade at 13:42 today for 35K+ was definitely a buy because I bought them!
I find it a contradiction that those that want to "Save the planet" aren't concerned about the carbon footprint of unregulated and in some cases nefarious extraction methods of hydrocarbons overseas.
This is before adding on the additional carbon footprint of transport to the UK. It's almost like non of this matters as long as they can boast of the UK being net zero and they can walk around with their "I've been a good boy" badges of honour.
If we want to save the planet we need to think about the big picture and use our own cheap and easily available resources to make the transition in a timely manner.
Igas have stated that 3m homes could be supplied with gas in a year with reduced seismic activity from the Gainsborough trough area. Egdon currently holds 82,000 net acres (128 square miles), compares favourably with some of the best US commercial shale plays and is potentially world class.

The pipes are calling for Igas who are in cahoots with Ineos and EDR in several licences across Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Yorkshire.
Matt Ridley: Fracking in the UK could unlock £4 trillion of gas

The basis of this article is that it's an unknown quantity and yet Egdon says:
"The results from the 2019 Springs Road-1 well (Egdon 14.5%) compare favourably with some of the best US commercial shale operations and highlight a potentially world class resource in the prospective Gainsborough Shale. Egdon also retains interests in the Widmerpool Basin and Humber Basin of the East Midlands, the Cleveland Basin of NE England and the Blacon Basin of NW England."
I believe that Springs road is one of the locations being touted for the first test drills.
"Fracking has been controversial and was halted in 2019 because of concerns about earth tremors. But the industry insists it is safe, and a recent technical study for ministers – which has yet to be published – is said to have opened the door to its resumption as long as environmental protections are put in place. Miss Truss and new Business Secretary Jacob Rees-Mogg are open to industry demands to relax tight planning restrictions on the technique. And fracking firms are planning to offer local people discounts of up to 25 per cent off energy bills in communities where shale gas is extracted."
