I agree that the BGS are risk adverse but find it interesting that they have been asked to investigate if there are any new fracking techniques that scientists believe would be suitable for use in the UK, and how the size of tremors caused by extracting shale gas compares with other forms of underground energy production.
Once and for all I'd like to think that all the facts will be told truthfully and the fiction is debunked with as much gusto as it was first spouted!
