£7500 in a savings account would return???? Why play the stockmarket gain with so much when you may as well go to William hill. Expect the losses and move on. I gave up the market after the war broke out in UKR, so easy to see the market going sides, up, down and nowhere which is pretty much panning out. Saying that I just took a few hundred as a punt.
Criminal proceedings? Good luck! Have you ever dealt with the FCA? They are one of the most hopeless organisations you will ever encounter. Apart from an automatic email response, you'll never hear back from them. The only way that anything happens is if you hire your own lawyer and fight it. Warning: the lawyer will tell you you've got a 'really good chance', but in the meantime he'll literally suck your wallet dry like a mosquito/leach. Such is the UK stock market!
Sadly, it is commonplace for directors to issue rubbish like this. I learned to ignore it after being fleeced many time in this way. You really cannot believe this type of nonsense statement. I looked hard at this one again a few days ago and decided to look at reality and the current dividend coverage rather than promises of management.
Just some quotes from Board of Directors on their company update of 19th July .. or just 9 weeks ago
1 " The board and Investment Manager confirm they are not aware of any portfolio specific factors that have led to the recent fall in share price "
2. " The board reaffirms it is targeting an aggregate dividend of 6 pence per share for the year ending 31 December 2023.....and for the avoidance of doubt , and as stated before, further capital being invested into the investee companies is not forecast to be required , to achieve a future period dividend cover by the operating cash flow of the investee companies "
On the bases of these two " categoric" assurances, I invested £7,500 of my hard earned money into this company .. Their announcement this morning , said that they couldn't afford to make the dividend payment and effectively said that their future as a going concern going forward was now in doubt ..( that isn't me talking , that is the editorial from Money week this morning )
I lost 35% of my investment as a result ...
The making of statements that they knew , or should have known were false, is , I believe a criminal offence , and the person or people who made those statements should be held criminally responsible for them
I am hoping that the statutory regulators , view these blatantly untrue statements made to shareholders and potential shareholders as worthy of further investigation, and, if required institute the appropriate criminal proceedings , and do so without delay ..
Slow motion car crash today!
Stay well away from this share, clearly a company in big trouble.
V disapointing divi news today, but a well overdone drop given the NAV. Can't stay here for long, imv.
Totally agree, it's not as if they didn't see this coming. Interest rates have been rising since December 2021.
The board are useless, they don't seem to think ahead or calculate future cash flow.
As we all know they made a massive mistake with Arqiva and should have capped the rates earlier. They talk about this inflation-linked swaps cap they have achieved as if it a great thing, I am not sure as it is still very high.
They should have reduced the dividend at the end of last year and stuck to it. Nothing unexpected has changed in the past 6 months but they choose to scrap the dividend now?
I have lost complete confidence is his triple point board / management, I think there should be a continuation vote and all assets should be sold.
They are expecting how much from syndication? £350m plus? For a half stake?
No Dividend, I expect to go south. Hold on to your hats folks !
They have cancelled the dividend.
Dividend announcement tomorrow?
An RNS for another RNS !
It speaks…!
Meant to add but missed off that those dates are via Dividendmax.
As correctly stated these have not yet been released and seems to be guess work based on the difference in Junes ex dividend in 2022 and 2023 being 2 weeks later. Making September later than previous.
Surely if it went Ex-Dividend today there would have been an RNS to reflect this, I am not sure the company would be allowed to make an RNS after it has gone EX-Dividend.
I had communication back from the company that they still don't have a confirmed date for the results or the stock going Ex-Dividend, but it would be before end of September, which only leaves the remainder of this week.
Not that I can see....
Has there been an RNS to confirm that ?
Declaration date is 25th Sept - ex div 5th Oct - Pay Date 20th Oct.
I wouldn't rule out either an offer for the company , or a proposed rights issue to provide the extra sources of growth capital required , plus that required to reduce leverage ...watch this space ...dividend announcements already well overdue ...something must be afoot
The silence from the company is deafening ...what the hell is going on ..the dividend should be paid this Friday if what they have previously promised is true , so what has gone wrong ..
If it's bad news , this share will tank ...the longer it goes on without any form of communication , the worse things appear to be ..
I too have called them and emailed them requesting the information regarding results and Dividend declaration, but have still not received any response.
At the company presentation on the 19th of July,Ben Beaton stated that there was to be a roadshow to discuss the interim results at the backend of September.I take this to mean the last week ie the week after next,I am therefore expecting the dividend declaration and results next week. I am optimisticlooking forward here.
According to lse they should have been yesterday.I rang the company yesterday and they said someone would call me back but have heard nothing from them. I’m just hoping they’re mulling another bid for the company and that’s why the results are late. One or two comments about this over on ADFN site chat.
