Erm, so buy Verne for £300m+ or the entire company for £270m?
Mcap? Really? So all assets are worthless and we'll lose anther £40 and zero earn in?
Nope, too low, back up we go. I'm in.

Worth a read for those that are at a loss like myself with the management of this company...
Another bottom draw well underwater dog. May come good in a few years time.
Today has confirmed to me what I have suspected for quite some time........The market has lost the plot and short- termism reigns supreme!
It could be that the potential upside is medium to long-term. The actual sale won't happen until mid 2024, if it does and the potential additional £100m won't be seen until 2027. So I'm guessing the dividend won't be reinstated until post sale once the balance sheet has been sorted out. I'm reluctant to take a loss but not confident enough to average down. The could be big capital gains to be made over a 3 year period if VG hit their EBITA targets but I'm guessing we won't be able to see the progress.
Price action doesn’t make much sense to me unless the view is there is going to be a further capital raise?
Me neither....Wasn't expecting to break 50p but thought it would rise to the mid 40's...Ripe for a takeover bid?
Agricore, thanks for the link which was reassuring. Yet another 10% down today though, - can't understand it!
Peregrine, don't know which other board you mean, and of course the dividend is currently suspended (not being paid). But I believe you are correct in your view that the news on Tuesday was positive - the impact is explored here: https://open.substack.com/pub/theoakbloke/p/nice-to-digital-nine
I'm new to this BB, so please forgive a little naivety. I have DGI9 mainly for the dividend, but also see potential in the sp. I actually thought yesterday's news was good, and added this am; but here we are 8% down on the day. The 'other' board makes very depressing reading; is there any optimism here?
Been speaking with a few guys working with various digital infra funds and havent heard a bad thing about D9 so far, mostly optimism so long as debt reduced / interest rates settle.
Long way to go yet to get back to ipo price.
Sale must be near done...pay down RCF and off we go again?
What's going on here then?
Up on a 'fluffy' RNS. No real substance.
Even lower now....34.50 / 34.95... How low can it go?
From the weekends papers and comments,:-
Buy’ bid target Digital 9 Infrastructure after 40% plunge, say analysts
High-risk investors should jump on DGI9, say brokers Investec and Stifel, as the digital infrastructure fund is a bid target after yesterday's 'shambolic' cancellation of the dividend.
I've looked at the board of directors profiles in more detail, on paper they all have the experience it's as if they have all let some junior run things till they realised they were buggered.
Another Investment Trust board who need to look at themselves and decide if they are up to the job. This seems to be an increasing problem in the Investment Trust space where the board either don't ask the right (tough enough) questions or don't have the competency to do so. Either they have failed in their duty of care here or they aren't up to the job.
This is minor compared to what Ienergizer did to their shareholders ! I'm sure this will recover...
Well I didn't see that coming...Brought in here for the attractive divi.....Luckily I'm not in too deep and can only imagine the pain for some shareholders....Do you sit tight and hopefully things will turn around or get out whilst you can?....Does anyone think there will be a takeover bid? now the share price has been decimated....Thoughts anyone?
Unfortunately I agree, directors lie and commit fraud but get away with it.
I remember with the Quindell scandal 9 years ago that I was convinced that something would be done about it but Rob Terry was never prosecuted and carried on committing fraud.
