The nonsense you talk Charles! I see your two year obsession with the totally notional figure of £8.20 has not in any way abated. And I'm 100% certain of that! Thanks in no small part to you, with your incessant fantasy-land numbers, (it really got me thinking about how wise it was to remain invested any longer here) and luckily for me, I got out!! So a big thank you for that! I'm sorry that it didn't reach your dizzy heights of £12+++ but TB will get this company growing even faster, but with much larger profits, with its huge financial (and geographic) reach and commercial muscle. It's a great fit for DT and it's very easy to see why it will be voted for "unanimously"; these types of decisions, by Boards of Directors are not made, based simply on the money offered. It's much more nuanced than that. Anyway, there are plenty of excellent UK growth companies to invest your final cash in than Darktrace, so get researching!! . . . ATB 🫡
Why did our pathetic government put everything in place to make things difficult, i.e ML extradition, only to sound more positive once it was too late.

Seven innovative British scale-ups for maritime sector, including Cambridge-based cyber security company Darktrace, pitched to a South Korean shipbuilding and ship owning trade mission last week. The opportunity to pitch was offered to Darktrace and the other British companies as part of the government-funded UK-APAC Tech Growth Programme, which helps tech scaleups to explore and secure commercial opportunities in 11 markets across the Asia Pacific region, including South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand.

Well done to those who made decent profits here.
I agree with @Pearls that CRTA is worth investing some profits into. GLA.

Already worth 6 billion USD
Yes TB are robbing UK investors, perfectly timed.....but they have low balled so much, that there is a 69% chance that another player eg a Microsoft or other party, might also bid higher eg 750p....
I that case we could still get 820 p.....
Still waiting to hear full timelne....Dark is so far being sold for peanuts...and Investment bankers have few deals to work on anmd so in next month by say June 3rd new offer/offers could start being announced...
Of course still possible no other offer comes, but according to my crystal ball today, its 69% likely an offer around 750 p will come next....
Yes so let’s watch short update tomorrow as this drops into the high 5’s
There are still more trading opportunities to come here over the next few months
What a journey for me , finally I’ve got out of here, thanks for Lending and some Kind people’s advice, its really valuable GLA
Not sure why people are suggesting a swap of the only credible uk tech co into junk is a good move.
I would do nothing at all until it is clear what is going to happen here.
If anyone remember Atlantic computers years ago ,it ended up in a bidding frenzy
The trouble with NWT and PYC is that they are tiny. At least one of our fellow forum members could approx, buy out 50% of PYC and a 10% of NWT with his proceeds from DT. (and become a board member perhaps).
Sure there is a premium on the SP but not on DT’s own brokers intrinsic valuation. The latter is calculated from the profits made from a reasoned estimates of the future profits (or free cash flows) of the company discounted to the present time. Buffet, for one, values his publicity share holdings both using the SPs and his determination of the intrinsic value on which he places most emphasis. He generally ignores the SP as that is what mad Mr Market thinks they are worth, he prefers his own assessment.
The present value of a bond is calculated in exactly the same way.
Well done to DARK shareholders on your company getting taken over at a significant premium.
For those looking for a replacement home for their monies, then the following tech security play with strong US exposure may be of interest:-
Newmark Security (NWT), current s.p. 85p, market cap. £7.97M.:-
https://www.lse.co.uk/SharePrice.html?shareprice=NWT
From the bar graph on page 12 of NWT's annual report & accounts for the year ended 30.4.22:-
"Five years of consecutive revenue growth:
HCM in North America: £m"
2017: £0.9M.
2018: £1.2M.
2019: £4.0M.
2020: £5.9M.
2021: £6.5M.
2022: £8.7M.

For me, it's not a good thing it's an all cash offer. There's so much more value to be had with DARK.
A cash and share offer (50/50) from a US Cyber Company would be far better value without even considering an uplift in the offer price.
Yes cash not shares agree ! TB could still be Gazumped !
I am on my hands and knees now , praying a white knight comes in and offers more ( well figuratively speaking ) … then I don’t mind if TB get it for 800 p and above ! For no reason 620 we feel ripped off and Dark has good positive momentum
Well said
The Mike lynch uncertainty probably was too much for Poppy
I have always invested for the long term and have a few possible high growth stocks.
Darktrace was a company I was happy to hold for 10yrs but that opportunity has been ripped from my portfolio. It will now be in the hands of TB who in a few years will make billions on resale or resisting.
620 does not represent anything like a fair price.
Some will be more than happy to sell but not me.
Very wel done here
Not many IPOs have done as well as DARK, offer is 190%premium
As for ideas
Im biased as I've invested quite alot in PYC
They're the only AIM listed company that has the A.I tech to allow drug companies to specifically test their drugs pre FDA submissions
They have 30+main clients and growing
£1.8mlm cap with revenue's growing to £900k which should be enough for breakeven , pipeline grown 50% in 5mths to £1.5mln
A brilliant poster called Ant on there
I'm spreading my proceeds in CRTA, THG, SFOR and ASC. All are at very low prices currently.
CRTA looks so interesting, anyone getting in now is in at the ground level, just before they make further quarterly announcements showing their contract wins lead to free cash flow positive status by the end of the year. I do not reckon this will stay independent much longer once they confirm the various wins. This will rocket in due course.
As for THG - well an army of you out there can confirm how cheap that one is!
As for ASC, we have Frasers [Mike Ashley] amassing a 27% stake, the current share price is on the floor, and trading is expected to improve???Am I missing something? This is an obvious takeover target.
Lastly, SFOR - well this is completely underpriced compared to its peers. But again, this seems to be a feature of companies with well known leaders like THG. Under Sir Martin Sorrell, this company is turning round at a rate of knots, the market merely has not caught up with it.
All companies go through trading cycles - it seems to me now that there are many companies - such as the above four - where the market has just not caught up with where they are in that trading cycle.
A lot of money to be made out there, as ever, DYOR and good luck.
ForgeRock did list on US vs UK or Norway but still drifted is the point
TB are paying in cash. How they get it matters not. They are cash buyers!
Are some shorts still short ?
Sheltie TB are not a cash buyer exactly , they willl raise I see in news 1 to 2 billion , I forget which currency
The board like TB , and the board recommends accept
But behind the scenes Jeffries and other tmt investment bankers hungry for commission fees might just find another buyer ( in the end TB might need to up their offer )
If you don’t believe they will drift look at ForgeRock, UK based, offered to buy by TB in Oct 22 “ ForgeRock shareholders to receive $23.25 per share in cash”. It took until Aug 23 to complete (10 months) and you can see the drift down here
https://www.macrotrends.net/stocks/charts/FORG/forgerock/stock-price-history#:~:text=The%20all%2Dtime%20high%20ForgeRock,below%20the%20current%20share%20price.
Over 9 months with GBP/USD forecast this will be in 560s
Who wants to hold money 9 months watching it go down
The Ceo should be dismissed with immediate effect
No way the shares are going to drift down, quite the opposite
Which is why the SP will drift down to the 560s/570 mark waiting until Q4 & voting etc
