Edging closer to news on the ceol - that's a catalyst that I am thinking starts the ball rolling. Lake Resources been absolutely smashed in last few days (on top of being smashed already), cap raise at a 40% discount and arguably will not be able to raise finance for the project (they based their NPV on 33,000 usd per tonne LCE) - that makes for another project that may find getting difficulties raising capital to finance the build and thus another lump of future product falls by the wayside....
Just Wonder when Canaccord Genuity Buy will come to fruition ???
In lieu of any CTL specific news (due a few bits anytime) I see it’s now over 16,000 usd a tonne for battery grade - as of today.
Meaningful move back toward their 22,500 base case they used for the models.
Nice to see the 1st signs of the Lithium price getting back toward normal market levels, this process will likely continue thru to the end of FY24, well ahead of any production from CleanTech Lithium, so this is already academic in relation to the stock.
I find this comment interesting... I wonder whether the Chilean Government is considering issuing green bonds and directly financing key lithium projects...?
"She lauded Chile's government for its leadership on the energy transition, including through rapid work to decarbonize the electricity sector, leading green bond issuance, and supporting progress in the domestic lithium industry."

Gor blimey nice one !!
“CleanTech Lithium
During the week I also attended a presentation by the management of CleanTech Lithium (CTL). Here the differential between the now improving lithium price, the CTL share price, and research note price targets has widened significantly. For instance, CTL brokers Canaccord and Fox Davies are looking for £2.95 and £4.45 respectively, as compared to the current 15p share price. There are also some aspects that the market has so far not really cottoned onto. The first is that CTL’s Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE), absorbing lithium from brine, a cheaper and greener process that those with spodumene projects. The other is that last autumn Toyota set out its strategy including three new electrolyte battery technologies to reduce cost (-40%) and charging times (-80%), and increase EV range (+20%). The flagship here is the so-called Polarisation battery, featuring lithium iron phosphate. Given that the new batteries and production from CTL’s Chilean projects are likely to coincide in 2026, a 15p looks like cheap option money at the moment.”
Thnx Lord, nice of them to share that fact :-)
Webinar is postponed as Steve and Gordon are marketing in Europe this week.
Anyon know if the bi-weekly investor preso is on tonight and have link?
Steady drumbeat of people calling the bottom - Macquarie put a note out yesterday. Chilean mining minister talking about wanting 3/4 projects producing by 2026 on back of the yellen visit and then said looking to execute contracts by end of q1 this year.
I do think it is on the up from here 🤔 Good time to buy CTL right now . IMHO .
DYOR etc etc and good luck 👍
Has had a good few days pushing hard - looking at 15,000 a tonne again - it has been pretty flat for the last 3 months and then started moving glacially upward and now suddenly putting in a shift….
Looking at this site:
https://tradingeconomics.com/commodity/lithium
it looks as if the price of lithium has started to turn. One swallow does not make a summer, and all that sort of thing, but hopefully the bottom has now been reached.
Lord is totally right, lots of comments with no background or understanding, we always new FY24 was going to be a build out and business consolidation year, ready for full scale activitiy beginning in FY25.
Soon we should have a re-evaluation of the accessible resource and likely in the next month a step forward on the CEOL, these are the big things coming in the 1st half of FY24, progress is on track, sit back the truck load of money is still coming :-)
Steve Kesler provides a good update this morning on YouTube. I have to say there appear to be quite a few commentators on here who are not following the detail closely enough. There are company webinars every two weeks providing very good detail to investors and interested parties. The webinars typically last an hour with a Q and A at the end.
I hope your golf is better than your comments ....
Touched a nerve, did I? This is a free speech forum. Chill.
You intimate that you have better things to do with your time as you allude to than being here talking your standard tripe, I am just calling out your nonsense.
crack on, you regularly expose yourself, probably on the golf course.
One thing we do know for sure is that they have total control of both FB and LV basins, they reiterated this very clearly in the presentation from last week.
What’s it to you? . You were knowing all as the SP dropped all the way from 60+ to 15……so, to me, you don’t really inspire confidence. Very few read this chat stuff. It matters not. And, you should take what I say with a pinch if salt, as I do your flannel. Or, perhaps you are a little over exposed? I am enjoying a months golf here in Spain and don’t really care if this share goes bust or not. Mere bagatelle….
Ok - you really have no idea what you are talking about!
