Somebody has though crumpets and sufficiently so to have not only had the post but the full thread taken down. Sufficient to think insider dealing or inside information.
So in the one corner that frame of mind. In the other those thinking stupid thread. If the latter had been the case and somebody hadn't been worried then it would still be here.
They should have left it up and people could have made their own minds up. The wording was pretty unambiguous. In fact stating 100% fact. So we wait and see. It drops and your in, you win. If out you lose out. If short you get burn't.
Imo the present market cap lends itself to a bid. Forwards we travel to F9.
Just further whilst we wait to see if jordan called it right Crumpets, I see F9 has just premiered in America. It all helps to build things up.

Bonkers , do you think it’s someone who’s shorting this share that’s had “ Jordan’s “ original. “ proposed takeover statement made yesterday morning took off this board , shorters will be worried if this starts going north in my honest opinion :-)
forest, someone stating a takeover as fact when it's not been reported anywhere would be seen as questionable info at best so lse themselves may well have noted and removed.
LPD I posted that news last night on thread I started not dealing in fantasy ;-)
Nonsense story. Just like the reddit where Cineworld was next on the list.
Forest I think there think there number of reasons that thread has been deleted , let's not forget while the thread started as a takeover 100% confirmed there was also a lot of other messages regarding different opinions too.
I think its a shame it was deleted but I know the only confirmed 100% fact to come out of that thread.
Jordan888 name will be a famous name and talked about for a while.
cekim,
I don't think that there is any doubt that CINE is next on the list.
If that's for a takeover then definitely so as AMC has outpriced itself, and that actually highlights the vulnerabilities of CINE to a takeover.
If it's for WSB and Reddit attention then its heavily shorted and that is one of the main criteria that they look to target. When their focus was on Gamestop nobody even suspected AMC would be next.
Misleading and inaccurate post that one ASH I'm afraid and it should be reported.
https://www.theguardian.com/business/2021/jun/19/private-equity-firm-mulls-cash-offer-for-morrisons
It's about as certain as you can get there will be an RNS tomorrow morning at Morrisons and a consequential rise in the share price to 230p. Been sleeping?
Another for the filter bin.
Maybe learn to read, before slating everyone LPD.
Ash said if like Morrisons we were about to have a bid it would (like Morrisons) be in the news.
DOH!!!
I was on the Reddit board discussing ways to get investors on board and scare the living crap out of the shorters, the opinions were pretty much the same, there’s not enough awareness of this stock however if there are any social media experts on this board it will be a good start!
I applaud your efforts Saihaij
WSB and the Reddit movement is all about buying and holding your shares and then spreading the word. They then bring in more and more private investors en-masse via the forum who realise that they are there to stop hedge funds artificially dipping share prices to pick up stock. Then further waves come in that surge the price and cause short squeezes upon short squeezes and margin calls for funds.
Not saying its right but there are many sworn into it and it's been working. Success then brings in further investors.
Plenty things in the above text that you can do yourself from holding to spreading the word.
With recovering shares though there comes a point when £, $ and € start to speak for themselves or the share gets spied as being too cheap and a bid drops out the sky.
Hahaha is Cineworld now Morrisons??? Reported hahaha. Seriously please take a minute to comprehend before commenting on my post. I don't give a damn about Morrisons, my comment was about us not them. Just leave me alone.
Poor choice of English Ash imho.
Morrisons is true hence the link. You might wish to reword a sentence in there a bit better.
What on earth are you on about?? I know all about the rejected takeover. What does this have to do with Cineworld?
Ash it has NOTHING to do with Cineworld.
This is Cineworld BB yet LPD (been spending too much time looking at himself while doing that gym workout I think) brought us Morrisons, their shorts, their debt and their bid.
This was off back of absolute nonsense post from a nobody.
Yet LPD says it wasn't in a comparative manner.
Leaves me with no idea what he was doing then.
LPD won't see you or my replies as he has us 'pretend' filtered ;-)
You know that sort of filter where someone knows what you post and then proceeds to post something that makes it 100% clear they have seen exactly what you have posted.
:-) :-) ;-)
Haha. It's a shame there's no real cine news this weekend (or none that I can find). Anyway, seems as now lockdown could potentially be brought forward, which is positive. However, this is coming from a scientist. They seem to have differing opinions and the more I read, the more I can't seem to figure them out. They say different things. One said, '3rd wave is here' and one is saying no it isn't. I personally don't perceive this as a 3rd wave and hopefully the gov can sort things out and boost things earlier than expected. As for the US, I don't know how well things are, but I know things have been improving. F9 this week should bring attention and hopefully gets a great reception. Q3 I'd here and imo is a crucial sample for knowing how things will look over the next 6 months or so. I'm sure Mooky will have some news at some point or some surprises. The SP can easily hold up and hopefully improve if our figures do. Always external macro factors like inflation and other economic/political influences, that cause irrational or freak sell offs or even rises, so we'll see.
Regards FF9, What most of us would agree is the first of the really big movies to get us going.
Well my local cinema has less screens set aside for its first days opening than was for QP11 , Cruella, Kong.
Bit puzzled by this, but sure they know what they are doing.
Moody in his video, mentions that he expects more consolidation in the movie industry. The only real area this can occur is for someone to buy a cinema chain. With Walmart owning 160 drive in cinemas and no main chain cinemas in their possession. Netflix only the one cinema. Disney not expected to make a profit on Disney+ till 2024 and only if subscribers tops 200 million and also if they pay for a year and not dip in and out that is occurring at present. As well as Amazon and Apple expanding their entertainment efforts. There are plenty of buyers out there. Cineworld does find itself exposed to potential takeover threats. The next few weeks and months will see if any of these companies strikes first to outwit their competitors. IMO
Not to forget, there sure was a talk about Jhango takeover of CINE in the media, which made everyone excited!
So nothing wrong if this takeover topic is given more attention so it gets noticed by the media and helps in bounce back to 90s!
Last time, investors chronicle I think mentioned that the investors are speculating about Jhango takeover despite no RNS from cine about takeover and nothing from Jhango either. Media do read these BBs! Before the gang jumps on this, I will find the link and share it here although others can also search for it before jumping on!
My local CW is having 8 shows on Friday starting from 1.30pm in the afternoon and goes on till 8.30pm so every 1hour there is a show, which is by no means less number of screens.
If your local cinema is not doing that many shows then definitely your local cinemas and the locals are not the brightest!
There's definitely nothing wrong with takeover talk, but when a random investor says it's a fact etc etc, do you really think that's good? As I said, anyone could come up with anything and try and convince people that something is happening. Maybe hoping the sp spikes up to reach profits/break even before selling up. Who knows how desperate people are
smalltrader that is even less than my local cinema so maybe you(rs) are the not so bright ones.
Some movie releases would have more like double that using multiple screens to spread them out.
I know for a fact Cruella and QP11 for example both got more "slots" allocated on opening and their opening weekends.
What I have written is a fact, not an opinion so there is nothing for the ramp crew to argue about or jump on.
As I said, assume there is reason for it and chains know what they are doing.
One thought (don't know if accurate) they might be showing less screens than would have expected in effort to spread it out over couple weeks as there may be very little else of note released between FF9 24/6 and Black Widow 2 weeks later.
Don't know the reasoning, but that's the facts.
Hope all this takeover talk pays off... coz Markets generally looking bloodbathy tomorrow based on futures... ffs
You didn't bother to give us any numbers like I did but cheekily said your cinema has more? All in your head and claiming it as facts..what a load of **** you talk about...Atleast tell us your local cinema name and we will see how bright you lot are.
Fyi - I live in country side so 8 shows for single cinema in a day is definitely a lot. F9 every 1hr is sensible in current climate. Don't think I have seen more than 1 screen running same cinema at same time even before covid. My local cinema knows what they are doing unlike yours!
10 screenings, and you clearly know little to say no more than one screen used in chain to show movie.
Your perfect cinema is clearly showing FF9 on more than one screen.
It's not a movie of c. 30 minutes long after all ;-)
The "average" number of screens for a Cineworld complex is c. 12 screens .
Do some simple arithmetic and looking at howany films are on etc.
Bigger movies taking up more than one screen in 12 screen multiplex is common place
Regards what is and isn't facts check some locations other than yours and you will I have no doubt see more than 8 showings per day for FF9.
