The prof has cultivated a good number of very loyal shareholders. So much so that the negative news (the departure of Demir) has been spun into a positive.
For the life of me I can't see how. If there were anything economic within sight anywhere Demir would still be on board.
Demir could be wrong of course. The Fosterville comparison and the attempted comparison to the Kingsway and Queensway Projects at New Found Gold by the Prof is somewhere between laughable and simply cruel.
These guys drill 100,000m a year and have grades and thicknesses comparable to Fosterville, CGNR does not.
CGNR is still an explorer. It may find something great but currently it has nothing worth the investment of Demir. No mine . Nada. Not even at Clontibret.
If the Clontibret mine was a reality then project level finance could be found for it. Clearly PIs are missing some crucial information and one must assume that Demir were not.
Great analysis Catbert. I couldn't give a **** what you think.
Demir were never suited to this. They may have thought that another big partner could come in but they would need to spend more money and even then it is far less attractive for another company having to give up a big percentage to Demir.
This sums up Demir as gold miners. 93,000 ounces in all those years. We can do without that kind of track record.

Wow, staggering how you have flipped. Wish I could be bothered going through the old threads where you tried to cancel me for any suggestion that Demir were anything other than the best partner in the world. Wow.
If they were so awful for this, you would have to question why the company went into business with them in the first place? And then even though they were on a JV committee and operator, CGNR just let them drill in all the wrong places? Why, only a couple of weeks ago you were telling us Phase 2 was a given.
Why are the derampers out in force. Maybe they are worried. A number of major companies were interested last time and a number will be again.
Look at the end of the day faith in this guy (and me lol) has lost me £100k + in CGR/CGNR which is about 40% of my life savings. It will have an impact on my retirement! But Heyho it is what it is! He's crap on gold....but his success lies with base metals (primarily Zinc) and oil so will the phoenix arise?? GLA
This isn't important compared to the gold.
I wonder why they were at PDAC in March. I think they already knew then that they were never going to get mines built with Demir. Already sounding out partners then and had considerable interest. Know it will be much more straightforward with 100% of the licences back.
This isn't important compared to the gold
it is !!! adds another wing to CGNR plus attractive to Major
£7.50 GALMOY a share was sold for from the Prof
Demir young geologist may return prof mentioned ,
Dermir expertise is base metals
Add to sister company Nickle Copper platinum and its a full house
"The drill hole intersected 30.0 metres at 0.42% combined Zinc and Lead from 9.0 metres including 3.0 metres at 0.83%"
By way of comparison, the combined grade at nearby struggling Tara Mines 15× higher at 13%. And all this chatter of a KDR merger with a massive Cu/Ni/Pt province in northern Ireland is just distraction.
CGNR just need to stick to the business in hand.
Do we ignore as a distraction the 8 gold license and copper in Finland also?
💯all CGNR
🤷
The gold in Finland could be very interesting but nothing has happened for years. You never know until the drill turns.
They have a prospecting licence in Finland which is in application for an extension. €26k spent there last year. Not even a mention of any Finnish geology or prospecting results in the Annual Report. It is irrelevant.
Unless you’re holding for a Major
Before Demir and before COVID got in the way "major companies coming to do site visits"
And evidently they all passed. There are only a few "majors". And they look for tier 1 projects. This is not tier one. They love sending their teams out to projects to gather intel but very rarely do deals. May as well accept it. Why release irrelevant zinc results if there is another "transformational" deal in the works?
I suspect CGNR Finland prospects are being held for another party, the same party that KDR are holding Liperi, Salla, Japilla for. There is a reason CGNR have not mentioned Finland in years. Remember the Rio Tinto confidentiality deal with KDR included gold, which confused many. This may all become clear soon.
Remember this RNS from CGNR in March 2021. This was about having the targets drill ready. I suspect all the prep work done for Rio Tinto with none of the attention. Think about it.
DRILLING TARGETS CONFIRMED ON FINLAND GOLD CLAIMS
High resolution ground magnetic survey completed
Potentially gold bearing structures identified
Survey delineates multiple prospective magnetic targets for drilling
Applications to be made over other gold and copper targets identified in Northern
Finland
Conroy Gold and Natural Resources plc (AIM: CGNR), the gold exploration and development company
focused on Ireland and Finland, is pleased to announce the completion of a detailed high resolution
ground magnetic survey which has identified a series of drilling targets on its gold exploration acreage in
the Sodankylä area of Northern Finland. The Company holds a total of eight gold exploration licences in
Finland.
The high resolution ground magnetic survey data, in combination with multiple datasets, including
geochemistry, aerial photography, digital elevation data and airborne geophysical data, has delineated a
series of prospective drilling targets.
Previous geochemistry in the Company’s permit area in Sodankylä has been encouraging with gold-in-soil
values, of up to 4,470 Au ppb, and copper-in-soil values. Gold grains have also been observed in the till.
The presence of the Nattanen granite suite and extensive haematitic alteration together with regional and
local structural controls indicate Iron Oxide Copper Gold (“IOCG”) prospectivity.
Remember ......the KDR confidentiality agreement provided KDR (which means also provided CGNR -same geologists and management) with £50m worth of private data out of the ground in Finland from Rio Tinto. The tranches of confidential data which was made available to KDR was information for all minerals , not just diamonds. CGNR also got that data, but that never appeared to register with CGNR shareholders. Remember they spent 2 years studying the data before they started locking down the best ground. In my opinion CGNRs Finland ground is a big deal. I suspect we may find out why this year.
The targets shown by the ground magnetic survey include two highly magnetic bodies, which are
considered to be IOCG targets, together with a series of targets which are interpreted as being Shear
Zone Hosted Gold targets.
The detailed high resolution ground magnetic survey consisted of 33 lines at 100m separation, ranging
from 1km to 3km in length, for a total of 49 line kilometres covering an area c.4.5 km2
.
According to information submitted to TUKES by CGNR as part of the approval of the prospecting permit ML2019:0058
- Based on the ore exploration, the ground is very unusual in terms of deposits. further research was needed to determine the main source of the exceptional gold bearing deposits in the bedrock. Gold content abnormal and according to the plan submitted by CGNR over the last three years the gold content was to be determined by bedrock drilling, rock and soil sampling and trenching. The drilling was to be supervised by the GTK, or another party on behalf of the company. The drilling equipment was to be a drilling unit moving on tracksand an ATV trailer used for maintanence transport. Drill cores were to be transferred elsewhere for examination. Gold discovered 10.5 g/t and exceptional in the bedrock.
Remember CGNR also applied for an enforcement order for the prospecting license, so they were keen not to be delayed.
This is Karhuaapa in Sodankyla and is 794,91ha.
I think they spent 48,000 euros on the mag survey too.
I wonder if many CGNR shareholders are even aware of any of this.
Research in depth , been carrying out research over at KDR past 11 years on every release ,google ,Tukes ,cross ref ,
Conclusion is CGNR hold some of the riches Gold fields in Finland and that's all taboo plus copper
Also worth looking at in Finland Rio Tinto Exploration OY has been collecting licenses all over Finland very near CGNR /KDR LAND
RIO /KDR ended the agreement in june 2020 when it expired ,coincidence KDR have been waiting on land compensation ..
for the same amount of time and now should receive the full mining license this june 🦊
then both sister may get a deal in Finland ????? 🤔
Rio could take over eastern ,central and northern parts of Finland in one clever move
all locked down .
we shell see ???
So seems like:
- a single application for an exploration permit, pending since 2019, over 8 square km only
- no project information on website
- no technical disclosure in Annual Report (which the auditors would require if it is a material asset)
Not interesting.
I admit I've always been very interested in what they've got in Finland but you almost forget about it when it's never mentioned. Maybe Finland is going to big news for KDR and CGNR this year. That would be a huge bonus because it's totally understandable the radar.
Under the radar!
