I can even HEAR Mr T sigh again!
Well, now! Does RedSparrow talk truth or speak with forked tongue?
I've been waiting for that £1440ish gold price for some time and, low and behold, the moment is here. It's £1426 as I scribble.
It's very difficult to predict a bottom to all this, especially with all the currency debasement. Scarily, I read that Martin Armstrong has suggested that gold support stands at $1345. Just who can mine gold at that price and make a profit?
I can see gold spiking down to around $1640, but with a weaker £, that may not take us down much. So a wild guess is to £1400ish. It will probably happen overnight (again).
I feel we are in the zone for at least a good run up here for stocks, commodities and PMs. Perhaps after the next FOMC meeting.
The markets, including PM's are having pull-backs that are corrective in nature (I can here Mr T sigh), and I've got a buying list ready. I must be patient; I must be patient; I must be patient.
There's still no hope on the western political scene. The WEF reigns supreme.
Good luck all - beware the tiger hunters.

Hi Market,
Good to hear from you!
It 's about far more than the party leader , its about the policies of the Labour party, although I met Jeremy Corbyn over 25 years ago at a trade union congress and to be honest as far as I can tell his views have never changed, unfortunately the media have done a an unjustified hatchet job on him, just like they did with Ed Milliband.
In my view David Milliband would have been a great Labour leader.
I have hated the Tory party ever since the eighties when that old crone Thatcher bribed the electorate selling to them what they already owned and for bringing about the systematic erosion of peoples employment and civil right whilst destroying public services and the NHS, not to mention starting a war with the mining communities that lives on to this day, and when the old crone's popularity began to wane going to war with Argentina, all of which has has contributed to to the problems we have today,
As a young local government trade trainee union convener I was sent as an observer during the 198O's miners dispute, the Met police, including special branch and army personnel dressed in police uniforms were the bullyboys of Thatchers government.
All Politicians bend the truth just like what's happened at Sukari with the previous management, But what would the UK look like today if Corbyn had been elected. probably like Sukari full of promise with a last chapter you don't want to read, Hope all well with the old guard.

It seems Ampella Security chased an illegal miner from a permit and they have drowned and now the security guards are arrested by the authorities- not sure if this is true or not

Either way it's a net positive when your employees show some appreciation.
(FYI - Rolly is one of nearly twenty former Barrick employees now in key positions at Centamin)
Thanks deepjoy really useful
Also it surprised me to learn that the mint digital accounts are not covered by the FCSC scheme which was a real surprise to me at least.
if it is outside an ISA then no in my view. As a suggestion either buy the physical gold and store it (i did in 2016 but the spread is grim) or think about a physical backed ETC like SGLN... that said with the dollar this strong atm the forex risk on the holding is a little grim if the dollar weakens.
Does anyone here have a view on whether the Royal Mint's Digigold platform is a sensible way to hold actual bullion for the retail investor? All thoughts pro or con welcome?
Thank you Cowichan,
Centamin will be announcing Q2 production this Wednesday as you will already be aware.
So they feel it makes more sense to talk after that to be frank!
True Capital will be hosting a call tomorrow at 9am which all are welcome to join!
Clearly, they will be talking to some degree on how things are going from their perspective at Sukari, so we will get two updates in two days!
Hi Mr Gnome,
Have a look at this bunch , this is really sad that in the 21st century such self serving, lying , two faced sycophantic, parasitical stinkers are being considered to become the UK PM!
They were all complicit in the Boris lying pre/post Brexit and the ongoing lying and deceit pre/post election, not to mention "Party gate", my view is they should all be disqualified as unfit for public office!

The five remaining Conservative leadership candidates have taken part in a second debate to explain why they think they should be the next Prime Minister.
During the ITV debate on Sunday 17 July, Kemi Badenoch, Penny Mordaunt, Rishi Sunak, Liz Truss and Tom Tugendhat answered questions on topics ranging from inflation, the economy and tax to gender self-identification.
Full Fact has been working to fact check the claims made by all five contenders. Here’s a closer look at some of the things they said.

Hi Mr Gnome,
The Tories don't need a magic money tree, they are masters at screwing the general public and milking the parliamentary privileges system!
Always have been!
Thank you Deepjoy, very interesting !
Hi Steve,
Yes strange that isn't it. they always come out to claim they were right again, they must surely be multi millionaires by now !
What a pity such trading extraordinaire's never pop-up prior to events, but always post!
This is a great time to be buying commodities and gold, perhaps not the bottom, might be another 5% down, but then...they will bounce back up...20-30% (Aupast $2000) is my 2 bobs worth ...so more oddds onthe upside

Thanks Cowichan
Steve Keen is a great voice to listen to to understand the shortcomings of the economicists advice to the politicians, and the central bankers "strategy" and models from which the strategy is derived.
"How fast can a magic money tree grow?
When British Prime Minister Theresa May said there was no magic money tree she was wrong. There is, but you still have to look after it. What happens if you take the money off the tree too quickly, and give it to the wrong people? Is that what’s happened over the last two years? This week Phil Dobbie asks Steve Keen if there’s an optimum level of expansion to the money supply (through government spending) and how do we claw back from it if we have overspent?"
His weekly podcast is a great listen
