I was told 175p... Either way it's a long way up from 95p!
Liberium said 1.65 I think… peel hunt are at 1.25… Doesn’t seem to be too many analysts covering it
According to some sources (I don't have access) Liberum released a Buy recommendation with a target price over 170p. While they are not quite independent and have been pushing CF for ages this would be a big increased in their previous target price. Also, I believe there have been some purchases from members of the BoD.
ODD miles more buys and not moving
Hi Graham, from a personal perspective, obviously I hope you were totally wrong and sold too early, as I’m still holding, lol!I don’t blame you for selling and making a profit, as you have other avenues to pursue. From past mistakes, when I first started dabbling, mainly through greed and fomo, I now set a share price target and when I get there I sell. Obviously this is monitored because circumstances change on a daily basis, you really do need to do your own homework and not be swayed by the constant pumping and de-ramping you get on these share forums, but you can pick up the odd great tip here and there. I’m hoping this will get to the £1.20 mark and soon and then I’m out, but as you know those pesky mms are out to destroy this share!!! Anyway well done for making an profit and good luck with Aviva, have kept an eye on that and legal and general for sometime now, but I’m quite tied in banking stocks at the mo, cheers.
Ok but surely the best they can do is say something like “if performance continues as per expectations then a dividend will be resumed”… which I don’t think will be enough for a big bump… but if they say with all loans paid off in respect to FY24 so their is trading surplus and a special dividend “… they did have 27m in the bank at half year …
I cannot see any reason why dividends aren't effectively accruing from 1st Feb this year. The dividend policy was mentioned a while back and the financial conditions clearly support reinstatement of the dividend. It would be odd not to mention this in the statement accompanying the year end by way of confirmation, which normally also gives brief information about the current year in progress as well.
Mrmarkyw, time will tell if I was right to sell when I did, but I wanted to the money to invest into more aviva as their dividend is due soon. I sold just prior to the new tax share. I have money in my ISA due to the new tax year to reinvest if I see a reason to do so, therefore, I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this board :)
Good luck with your holdings
Well I hope you are right Stach… I actually don’t think there will be any new news on profits as we already had the end number more or less confirmed in January … and I’m guessing they can’t pay dividend for FY24 due to restrictions… so I’m not sure we will get a significant bump… but hopefully a rise to 1.10 ish and stays there to give holders some faith. I guess an upbeat trading update for Mother’s Day and Easter would be needed to ensure this happens… otherwise it’s a wait till mid year where there is a likelihood of dividend announcement
We all love gambling, that why we are here :-)
Dividend, reducing debt, positive trading updates and adherence to growth targets with further relationships and progress towards the omnidirectional sales should encourage a PE of more that 6... Of course, we need to see how closely CF is delivering on this.
Those pesky mms. Lol. Hopefully your complete guesswork will be correct and the share price will go up on the confirmation of the higher end profit margin and a divi reinstatement. However, if history is to repeat itself, the share price will drop and Grahamc72 will be so pleased he got out when he did. Nobody knows, we are all gambling , some of us are just more honest about it.
Bhaven..
Hello there. You have made an important point in your posting yesterday at 15:40. There is quite an attempt by mms to keep this share price down and with considerable spread to,to fllush out weak holders before theFinal Report on the 30th of April. The pressure is to obtain shares here for arround £0.935p/share and you can sell any number of shares straight away. What it tells you that possibly an Institiutional Investor or a wealthy private ones want to buy this share but in a process mm want to make big profits too. There are only 12 trading days left to the Results and there is no doubt that the share price will move up substantially as the news on profits should be excellent .There should be some clarification about future Dividends too.So the guy,who sold just yerstaday will be upset that he did not wait a bit longer.
Good Luck .Stach
Wow, that is cheap. Probably too cheap! Card Factory is imho the happy medium!
Stach, do every one a favour and filter yourself permanently, not your usual 1 month posting, then 2 months hiding. Take your ridiculous mms conspiracies back to your bed sit, stick on your tin foil hat and don’t forget your tablets, all the best fella, remember the sun will always shine, bless.
Personally, I wanted my money to buy another stock.
I may buy back in at some point, but as I said, for me. There was little movement. I had been in red for quite a while, so it was good to see a recovery.
Sorry to anyone leave… may I ask why you didn’t fancy hanging on for a few weeks till the expected results day build up and rise?
Sold my holdings. The price hasn't moved for me in a few years unfortunately and I have reinvested the money elsewhere.
I did manage to make about 9% though.
Good luck to all with your investments.
Bad players at it as usual! Made a nice little trading profit as is so often profitable with Card given the silly trading patterns.
Mrmarkyw...
You are now FILTERED and in the company of other rude posters from this BB. i shall be no reading your false rubbish. Stach
For once i hope so as I want to buy more but ideally at the 93p level! I’m not so worried about a competitor with 60 stores … and B & M doesn’t seem to far out of sync with our price points unless I’m mistaken…. Agree with your points about online even though it’s such a small piece it was worth about 20m a few years ago but now is barely half that
Nice little move today... Let's see if a bad player tries to squash or once the US wakes up...
OK. Understood and accepted. Stach certainly has come and gone at suspicious times, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's doing anything wrong. Let's all just analyse this as best we can and try to be fair...
Wiscos I’ve been posting on and off for over 3 years on this thread, I believe I’ve even interacted with you in the past, if you can see my previous posts you will see in no way am I a deramper , quite the opposite. I certainly do not post a lot or regularly, is just that fool is really getting on my nerves and probably doing more damage than good, with his constant bleating about market maker manipulation, lol, it’s trades about 200 times a day, it is an unloved, under appreciated and misunderstood stock that should be a lot higher. Every time Stella reports come out, the share price drops, because the city aren’t impressed with the online business, which is a tiny proportion of the businesses core, although you would hope they will be addressing this, it seems they really don’t understand this business at all. But I’m also a realist, a very small competitor cards direct was mentioned and I gave an honest opinion that they do offer cards of similar quality at much cheaper prices. I was in fact quite shocked at the price increases at Card had implemented about a year ago and nearly sold back then, I’m hoping I don’t regret that, but as I’ve said earlier, I do believe there is still a way to go yet and I will get out hopefully at the £1.16 area. Like with everything in life, you need to do your homework on shares and not let your heart rule your head. I called out Stach for what he is a very periodical ramper, who will disappear again soon and reappear with the same crap later done the line. Just giving my honest opinion on a stock I’ve held for a fairly long time now, still think it’s in a good place, we will find out at the end of April.
And no Stach,I haven’t bought shares in card direct as they haven’t floated you idiot.
