I think it's become a vehicle for IHT to be honest.
Alliance Senior isn't getting any younger bless him.
There's clearly a relatively decent Business in there somewhere, albeit suffering the same pressures as many online retailers. I suppose that's why Mashley has taken a stake.
But, agreed this has been moribund for weeks.
Figures are due shortly, so close period would obviously affect any transactions up to release.
Apart from a brief flurry of excitement when the Alliance family bought lots of shares to stymie Frasers Group after they'd picked up Schroders' holding, this company's share price is going absolutely nowhere.
What will it take for the share price to breach 30p? Can't see a catalyst myself. What do the Alliances actually want to do with their company?
Dreadful investment.
Morning Rock.
My Bad, yes on re-reading the columns below I see that now.
Still positive though, as they now have the voting rights attached ?
Ant thoughts?
Re. today's RNS: the Frasers Group CFD has closed and their entire holding is now in shares. Total position has dipped slightly, down from 17.88% to 17.59%.
This looks interesting!
Frasers Group was the buyer and has upped its stake to over 17%
Do we think they're lining this up for a full-on bid?
If that's a trade then both parties are gonna be mighty upset with that!
That's one hell of a turn, out of a trade.
Identical quantity - 23,013,425 shares - changed hands @ 31.5p on 10 March. No RNS was ever forthcoming - hopefully there will be one this time.
That's a chunk of change - 23 Million shares - circa 5% of the Free Float.
Appears to be of similar size to Monecor's Holding.
Any thoughts?
I'm in for a punt at 22p, that was about recent lows.
My Buy eventually showed on this site one hour later as a Sell I would think all showing like that .
I'm looking closely now as well. SP is 25p. I can see a reason to believe we'll get to 24.5 or lower. Looking back at the January update, it's clear there's an expectation that trading will be difficult, but they also state they expect it to be in-line with market expectations. In addition there was some substantial director buying in feb around 40p. 25 p seems pretty low to me. I've not bought any yet, but I am tempted. FY results due around May 24th (from memory).
Topped up for 26p ( D ) would not let me place anything after decimal point which was all for luck as willing to pay 26.3p
Last week and today .
Just seen the one Analysts expects the price to decrease by 4%.
They called it right with decrease by 41% below 7th February 2023.
On this site only recent broker recommendations is Shore Capital with just "House stock" recommendation
Never got a reply from this strange poster RE: revshep
Apols for duplication - not quite sure how that happened apart from having a "fat finger".

Above is an extract from BWNG website, detailing position as at 08/03/23. As can be seen, Monecor is not listed, the mystery being, if reports and our presumptions are correct, that their holding (c23M shares) was not sold until 2 days after this date i.e 10/03/23, so who knew "what and when" . And I must have blinked as I haven't yet seen any notification advising of situation either. Whatever, disposed of holding doesn't, on face of it, look as if singularly picked up by another noteable source, the main parties (Alliance Concert Party with their c60%/Frasers Grp) remaining unchanged from that previously known.
Somebody not playing by The Rules or just the usual muddy waters of AIM!!!

If purported sale was genuine and as portrayed one would have expected, some 3 days on, an announcement by now. Whilst had a slightly higher combined holding when initially disclosed 02/12/22, as of 08/02/23 Monecor had 23,016,261 shares = 4.999%. However, things been going on with this outfit as whilst initially identified trading name as ETX Capital now known as OvalX following some sort of TO. Furthermore, there are suggestions looking to close operations or possibly pass on, so one could see them as the seller and for good reason i..e clearing decks before implementing strategic plans, whatever turn out to be. But who would the acquirer be - we know of two obvious possibilities unless a new 3rd Party entering the scene. Whatever, a stake of that size would, at current SP, require a wallet with £7/8M within. Until we see an RNS we can only speculate unless we are all barking up the wrong tree and not M, in which case few other potentials. When will the mystery unfold?
According to poster on advfn its monecor selling out..
Ive no idea if thats true. Id say a sell worked all week. If it was a buy sp would be up.
Wow….23million plus shares traded today on one transaction…..buy or sell ?
Something is going on here ?
Not holding atm but noticed there is a large buyer again today. First time since the rise. Worth watching.
End of FY was 28/2, from looking at offers I suspect their sales have been very poor , seem to have lost direction in terms of their customer profile .
To see this come back to where David was buying in Jan. Very low volume share, easily moved, but not easily traded. Starting to look interesting to me on a medium term view. Any thoughts anyone?
Hi revshep.
If that is a reply to my honest question , I can only assume your posts are not sincere.
I am concerned you might take in older members on this board with trusting harts .
I noticed you also altered the thread subject , but just slightly knowing it would not link the thread .
And it is lent .
