And in the meantime I expect some more large buys.
I wouldn't be surprised if it takes several days to process the results.
500 is an enormous sample size and if the test works it will only make it more valuable. Just as in drug discovery the larger the sample size the better. I think Avatca did about 30 odd although I may be wrong on this but it was far less than 500.
https://avacta.com/results-of-initial-evaluation-of-sars-cov-2-lateral-flow-antigen-test-with-clinical-samples/
I'm not clued up on ce certification.
Is 500 samples in clinical trial enough to gain ce mark.subject to results obviously.
Can somebody with knowledge on the process explain?
Much appreciated
We just need an RNS stating that the test works ... not tweets or other online ramps ....
Waiting patiently ... Monday Tuesday etc does’nt matter ( only the day traders care )
Bring it on :-)
Am also hoping that cancer tests prove good
To be fair ....they have saidd...approvals/validations will be sought in parallel in doing other work...
i have seen many dates thrown about when our test will hit the market...
1st qtr
early spring
by easter
1st 1/2 of 2021
by oct 2021..
we can only guess...
one thing carl and brh have said clearly...where-ever possible...approvals/validations will be fast tracked...also keep in mind...what their PLAN is...will we go to COMMERCIALISATION and beyond by ourselves or with a MAJOR or just sell TEST kit out right....very very important questions...with a MAJOR on board things would be done at RAPID pace...companies like..ASTRAZENECA dont hang about...they have the POWER...to get things done....and GOVT has also said where-ever possible..things will be FAST TRACKED.....for me its not about approvals/validations..its about getting this TEST working and PASSING...doing what it says on the box....get this gone....rest will follow....be it days/weeks/mths....we are where we are £37m/c right now...because of risks attached ....remove these riskd one by one.....then slowly slowly we will rise...like other cv19 shares/stocks have....as i say first milestone....is MONDAY..get +ve results there....thats where the journey starts..
As pointed out TESTS are here to stay for long while yet...especially at places like airports ) our kind of market )
Figtreeharry - yes i did.. And also thought it was highly ambitious. BOD always play the game to investors regarding time scales. Seen it all before. Look at what avactas ceo was saying last year " a test release rollout for summer expected"
I invested down to the technology and my faith in carl smythe as ive said before many a time.
Da Phrophet,
Did you not read this in November, before you invested into this listed company?
Mr Brown said: “We are currently on track for the test to be “launched in the first quarter of next year” and believe that it will have widespread application owing to its speed of result, high specificity and compact size.
Numis Securities estimates that the market for identifying and treating the Covid-19 virus could be worth $20bn (£15.4bn) a year and that the capability to manage the threat from respiratory viruses will be retained after Covid-19.
Reminder, This is why you would have been mad to sell out on Friday.
The Yorkshire Post - date: Nov 2020
Barnsley-based Braveheart described the test as " a world first for Yorkshire". The test, which is completely portable, has successfully completed the first stages of development and is expected “to be launched in the first quarter of next year”
(we are late by 1 month currently....)
Trevor Brown, chief executive of Braveheart, said: “This is a world first for Yorkshire. We’ve already completed the proof of concept stage and we believe it will be the first Covid-19 test to combine rapid results with very high detection sensitivity.”
Braveheart, which is quoted on AIM, and its 100 per cent owned company Paraytec, a York-based instrumentation company, have developed the test alongside Sheffield University, where Professor Carl Smythe, who holds a personal chair in Molecular Cell Biology, has been leading the project.
Prof Smythe said: “Our objective was to develop a very sensitive, fast test for Covid-19 that was portable and could be used by a non-specialist operator.
"We’re close to achieving that and, in addition, the underlying technology that we’ve developed can be applied to other viruses and in principle to a wide variety of different illnesses.”
The Braveheart Covid-19 test combines the molecular biological expertise of Sheffield University with Paraytec’s track record in fluorescent imaging.
The test involves a new technique to capture the Covid-19 virus and then attaches a fluorescent bead to it so that it can be made visible by a light source and the level of virus can be counted.
Prof Smythe said: “One of the ways that this test is different to other tests is that it will detect intact Covid-19 virus , whereas current techniques involve extracting out parts of the virus and amplifying them to detect their presence.
"Being able to detect intact virus is really important from the point of view of infectivity. With existing tests we know that people who have had Covid-19 , but may no longer be infectious , continue to give positive results.
“Our test will be very sensitive by comparison, being able to test people accurately both before people are symptomatic and afterwards.”
The next steps in the development of the test will be the collection of clinical data using live Covid-19 virus and refining the detection device, which will be the size of a shoe box and will give a simple yes or no answer when used.
Mr Brown said: “We are currently on track for the test to be “launched in the first quarter of next year” and believe that it will have widespread application owing to its speed of result, high specificity and compact size.
"This could include hospitals and other healthcare environments, where a rapid test would be invaluable, through to leisure venues such as restaurants and sports stadia.
“Our vision is that it will be very widely used, both in the UK and overseas, and become an essential part of the fight against Covid-19.”
I take it you haven't heard that everything is being accelerated
due to something called Covid.
Its got to go through clinical validation (which takes an age) get ce approval. T&T and sort sales contacts ect it would be atleast end of the year if not next year surely.
Lets be realistic here...how can it be put to market by april/may. Did you mean 2022?
The peak of covid 19 will last for 2 years and be with us know for decades the experts are saying.

Newbie,
One thing is for sure there will have to a partnership with a big pharma/manufacturers to get it to market for April and may.
Such talks will already have began and happening.
How do you test a scholl of 1000 kids every 2 weeks, if you do the maths, it’s not possible, unles they have 6-7 full time testers testing 8hrs a day++ 5 days a week, non stop in every school.
This test be a game changer._
officemanager.. These sites can be used to a investors advantage. Met some very experienced and knowledge people on other bb.'s ie avacta and few oil shares. Serious investments is anything over 10k imo. But you look at most buys and the average 2-3k. people buy on rumour before news alot on AIM shares.
Think could be leak sunday
This was before Christmas but then the Tweet was deleted. The RNS was then released on a Monday as per Twitter comment at the time as far as I remember. Just making a point that companies do like to release big news on a Monday.
Uxm
Dr caves big news (where is that then )
They have been shafting us RMS holders for months.
Have you not seen all the bull shxt
I think one must remember that we are using 500 samples. This actually makes a big difference when selling this product and determining the value of accuracy achieved from results. Anything above 95% is outstanding given the sample size. Also to me the fact they have decided to go all out shows a level of confidence and the fact they want this test to be valued very highly.
This test also can detect other viruses including cancer saving the NHS alone billions a year through unnecessary referrals and scans. Therefore for me if resu
In the words of Del Boy, this time next year we will be millionaires. Lovely jubbly. Let’s hope we don’t have to wait until next year!
100million mcap is about 270p SP which seems achievable if results and future plan is as good as we hope.
Youd hope that uk gov and other countries would bite paraytecs hand off for the test as long as it's what we hope.
Iag/ba are demanding testing and covid passports.
Just travel and airline industry is enough customers let alone schools, stadiums, festivals.
One thing is for sure there will have to a partnership with a big pharma/manufacturers to get it to market for April and may.
In an ideal world this is already happening.
Fear the worst scenario somehow test results are below accuracy needed or result times are slower but seems unlikely this far down the line.
Most companies would release big news on a Monday so I feel very confident. I do not believe companies need to release news immediately. Who remembers Dr Cave and RMS when he stated an RNS for big news would be released on a Monday and not later that week with the same director.
Market cap of 100 million would only be about £3. If results are good and one of the best on the market this product may well be priceless given the the times that we live in and the demand across the planet. This stock has so much potential upon good results.
Officemanager
That is perfectly true
