I Know BNC have cancelled the dividend for November 2020 but can anyone tell me if we will receive the dividend for May this year?
Still a long way to go before the Banco levels off, still a lot of turbulence out there ergo 'No Fly USA'!
I reckon it'll reach £1.50 in the next 2 weeks, so hold onto yer cash until then.
Screaming BUY at these prices.
Anybody remember the good old abbey national days ? This gang came along and completely ruined it
Spain will be hit hard by Brexit unless we have a good trade deal and a good arrangement for British retirees to continue living and overwintering. It will cause resentment I am sure on both sides of this is not done..These would be better to hold if did not require to declare to Spanish tax office
This share is still a pile of .....
The only person who seems to buy a large amount of this share is Mrs O'Shea who owns about £80 million worth!
santander reducing the interest rates on their 123 accounts, a shame but inevitable in the low interest rate world. It still remains a very good current account with cash back on utility payments etc. Share price seems to fluctuate with strength /weakness of the pound against the euro. Latin america seems to remain strong. BOD also keep buying so it remains a hold for me. Take care all.
Can Santander relocate their primary registration to avoid the new coalition taxing them higher? The Socialists hate banks and put them in the same naughty pen as the energy suppliers.
Am looking to buy at this level...Ole
This is a pile 'o' sh... share. Dividend is rubbish and share price is in the toilet.
Which sane person would recommend buying BNC shares!!
Santander splashes £350 million for majority stake in Ebury

Old news, I know but it doesn't seem to have impressed the market. I am thinking of buying more Santander to join the 2(two) shares I have left. Might leave it till the new year, if ever.
Stronger £ will be of no help ..... 280 is my target.
I am guessing the drop is due to the new left of left Spanish coalition parliament which as ever will put the squeeze on business and will lead to instability in the markets. However uncle doug I think you have a good entry price - for a medium term investment and a very good price for a long term one.
today at 308p. Just a punt at what seems good value to me.
Big drop in profits and hit by PPI claims https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/santander-profit-plunges-169million-after-17169432
Ex-divi hence the drop.
Divi is 10 cents and it drops nearly 30 cents.
Doesn't make sense.
why the near 5% drop, buying opportunity or bail out signal? Now over 5% down - missed the bail out chance!! Not heavily invested but under water - so not good. Always assumed 'sant' good and strong.
Cheers LongSuffering, I think we all are with this share.
Cheers.
Could it be this?

'Santander has taken a €1.5bn writedown on the value of its UK business, blaming new regulations and the expected economic fallout from Brexit.'
Does anyone know what this means :- The Board has also approved a goodwill adjustment of its UK subsidiary and announced a new board appointment. You can find all the information in the material fact that has just been published at the CNMV.
It's as clear as mud for me!!!!!
It died several years ago when they reduced the dividend from 60 cents per share to
nearly B..... all cents per share.
I wonder where the dividend savings have been going???!!
Certainly not to the shareholders who are the owners I thought.
This share just feels dead.

My 18 shares are worth more than £60. Last dividend of £0.09 I am keeping to reinvest as soon as it'll buy one share.
Seriously I will buy a few more of these one day, I am sure. Just don't want to get caught out.
