Considering 238p as my entry point
Say D'oh ten times Peter. You'll feel better :-)
I timed my purchase pretty badly too. I paid over £9 each for mine !!!
D'oh - massive fall today. I timed my purchase two days ago pretty badly. Oh well ... give it time.
BNC is a bellwether for the world economy due to their business locations .... so tends to follow the "fears" around economic growth and recession etc
South America depends on the economies of China and USA for exports ..and both are wobbly at the moment !!!
Drop today seems overdone. I bought some more @256p.
That are bad performing shares, then there are really badly performing shares and then there are Banco shares.
BNC huge profits, rubbish dividend and share price to match.
Tomorrow BNC shares will be up, on Friday down.
Like a pair of Yo Yo K.......s
but it is good for day trading though
" why BNC is so volatile "
often trades against the volatility of the US Treasury yields and the likelihood of interest rate rises
why BNC is so volatile
Sold half my shares today at a nice profit and now off to buy more Royal Mail shares. Plenty of profit to be made on them.
BNC is very good for day trading, nice
Up 12% since my original post on this thread 2 weeks ago. Not quite as good as my quick CNA scalp but nice little earner nonetheless. Ex Div on 29th Oct.
If it pushes up a bit more I'm out and more in royal mail

i love day treading this ,nice
I bought more on Thursday and Friday. Sold BP and transferred 1/3 here.
See how much a rise, if any, on the lead up to ex-dividend day.
GLA
and today 27/09
Very strange movement today.
Are they in any way linked to Evergrande the debacle
Dunno why such a big fall today but @250p I'm convinced these are definitely worth a BUY.
Same old, same old.
Up 2% one day the next day down 2%.
These shares are an absolute scam - they’ve put away billions and then plead they’ve made losses ? I bought into these 7 years ago at 5.00 - (40,000) the worst mistake I’ve ever made in investing. Sell the lot and walk away would be my advice.
BIGfatty
shorted..no...too big a company for that I think
Many trades are linked to algorithms that move with certain data .... largely automated I would imagine...
The banks performance is dependent on certain data stats ...so the algorithms link to that data and buy and sell shares accordingly
I think a lot of those data stats are related to the US ..as the economy there ripples out to South America and across to Europe
Banco shares have been like a mountain range valley one day next day a peak and so on.
What is going on; are they being shorted?
