I see the spread is 20% today .
Thanks for posting that link, and there should be plenty of 'lonks' that stonk to post here in the coming months imho/hopefully..Trojan
(there are indeed a bunch of new opportunities in Africa O&G.. not least as many of their s/p's have been obliterated over the years.. )
Hamz74 just seen your reply back in May .
No is the answer I set the limit daily ( not with a broker who charges for a limit order )
Nice lift today as feeling all achy and getting a bit fed up with all the share dealing .
Thank GOD for that buy you asked about the day before my birthday .
Had buy orders on again every day for 2.1p since the 1st June until yesterday 6th June if any had lifted I would of posted .
Lowerd from 2.3p on 20th May to 31 May that was the mistake as might of got them for the 2.3p
What a shame I dropped the original limit id imagine the spread was large , but hindsight deals you can not place .
MM and brokers know what they are doing .
nicetomeetya
not in here, just posting some lonks
and yeah,a lot of old, dormant oil resourse comps, laying dormant
are coming to life,on oil supply constraints
there's quite a few about,like bowleven
especially off the coasts of africa
Could this be a ten bagger from this point? Wish I had known about this share yesterday afternoon.
Good for you if you're involved here now Trojan..
don't sell too early as there is now much larger potential for Bowleven becoming a very successful company over the coming years.. just getting to FID would be a transformational bottom line start for Blvn.. and that's only the start...
And nice to see the penny is dropping in the market this morning as to how transformational this Perenco move can be.. they're very serious players and not getting involved here for fun.... ( the s/p was so low that a big per cent rise today is barely waking up imho )
PS: Just look at a 10 plus year share chart for the potential of Blvn ..
“We will update shareholders in due course”… about time.
What have you been doing last month? What have you been doing yesterday? What will you be doing tomorrow?”.
It’s bizarre to not hear anything at all.
full stop , in my mind..
and I look forward to this share price waking up now.. it's at an extraordinarily low level and has much potential to rerate substantially as we go from here now imho/hopefully..
And A strong start this morning and I topped up at over 3p near open..
RNS here in case anyone missed it https://www.londonstockexchange.com/news-article/BLVN/change-of-partner-and-operator-at-etinde-licence/15482952
Perenco has a track record in Cameroon, which seems encouraging.
Good morning hairydavey, I think we can say at least it's some progress and maybe after what about 10 years there could be a positive outcome.
It does at least look like this new partner wants to get going on something.
good news for a change! Perhaps an increase in SP too you never know :)
Zero shares traded and no change in bid/offer spread since Friday?
I got this response from Bowleven PR:
The Group retain the view around Lukoil as a non-operated partner in Etinde. It appreciates that there has been personnel changes at Lukoil however Lukoil itself is not currently subject to sanctions.
Clearly the situation is extremely dynamic so second guessing potential infrastructure partner opinions on a JV which includes Lukoil is difficult, however as mentioned, Lukoil remains both a non-operated partner and unsanctioned at present.
This shows that it is possible for a Russian company to buy assets from a UK company, which might be one scenario for Bowleven. For now I would guess Lukoil has much bigger fish to fry, but Russian oil companies have extensive interests in multiple African countries and at some stage they might decide to take a larger slice of the project.
you mean you left a limit order at that price for ages and it only just got filled?
Monday 9th May 2022 @ 2.7p 3pm been after at this price for weeks .
This is a complete gamble now if they can get anything approved before they run out of money.
It’s surprising that there are no news for years, it shouldn’t be so difficult to get something done. One wonders what they do all day?!
At least they cut costs and stopped the gravy train from the previous management.
crystalize losses ahead of tax year end for CGT optimisation I'd guess...
selling nothing to do with me btw ..
Hopefully some will be bought back soon into new tax year, by the same person even .. ort indeed others as new ISA allowance there to be invested/bet from tomorrow for eg
High volumes today 2 million shares versus average 100,000 and the bid has slipped. Is somebody jumping ship?
The interims mention Chevron's YoYo - Yolanda field. This is an example of constructive cooperation between Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea. https://www.africabusinessplus.com/en/809114/gabriel-mbaga-obiang-negotiates-with-cameroon-to-exploit-chevrons-yoyo-yolanda-gas-field/
2 US companies: Marathon Oil and Noble Energy; BG Gas Marketing (BGM). 2 Japanese companies; Mitsui and a subsidiary of Marubeni Corporation.
And local state oil company Compania Nacional de Petroleos de Guinea Ecuatorial (GEPetrol), the National Oil Company of Equatorial Guinea
Long term vision is EG becomes a gas hub for gas from EG waters, Cameroon and Nigeria.

Good Morning all, i hope your right N T M as i have a considerable amount invested here for a long
time now. Bad decision when i put the dividend back to lower my average. Hope this comes good
in time GOOD LUCK to all
Much chance involved in this game .. so you absolutely can't say for sure there will be no FID in 2022.. although I get that there easily may not be.. but if it's in 2023 then so be it..
If they have to raise a few million around early 2023 ish, so what.. it's not as though they're regularly raising... far, far, far from .. many AIM companies with tiny assets by comparison to Blvn raise seemingly endlessly ..by comparison these guys are Saints (they even paid a considerable one off dividend back in the day.. although, no doubt, they wish they only paid a fraction of that now granted)
And the size of the potential prize is huge here.. not to mind longterm revenue potential for Blvn, completion of FID alone gets them $25m..
Altogether, I have far from written off my bet here.. indeed I still have very high hopes for this over time!
Agreed with both of you............looks like 2022 is another write off. Cash raise needed to continue, further decimating existing shareholders. I'd written this off some time ago too but did have hope that it would return something. I'm far less convinced now
