WTF are you on about? Have you forgotten to take your pills?
Morning Ibjj. The IF work again. ;-)
Exciting, isn't it.
Back to normal....just the early morning can we catch them out little hike.
Is at the end of june by which date K B has stated he expects to have secured the decision now years overdue.
That is just five weeks away. What will his message be if he has to stand there empty handed?
For anyone who doesn't know why Tuesday is significant....well, it's the day before Wednesday which is the day before Thursday and it represents a special sequence...we think.
Today and an unexplained little hike in the sp. Just musing.
Morning All.
Nighty night All. x
Jokkmokk Councilor Robert Bernhardsson (S) is of the same opinion (as Kurt).
- The message I received is that the matter is handled promptly, he says. "
That'll be 30 June then. Time to load up............
Fair comments Juicy. Some people are also better with the use of words than others, so it comes down to interpretation. Is what is actually written a true reflection of what is actually meant? Lol. Best regards.

suzy my day is the 23rd were are all the other forecast
For the sake of argument....how promptly is promptly? Does anyone remember Asa Persson saying these things take time and that there's a huge amount of paperwork...at the time we were astonished at that but we're there now, 18 months have elapsed....the days are accomplished. And...before the summer is where we are. So..as a priority and rapidly is what it is reasonable to expect and that's what the Mayor of Jokkmokk also expects according to what I've heard on the grapevine.
Wording is always important.
"The Company is actively communicating with the Government with regards to the Exploitation Concession for Kallak North". It might be argued that the letter to the Minister two weeks earlier of itself represents active communication in terms of this statement, although, clearly, it might conversely be argued not. However, what of the Government. Is the Government communicating with the Company?
"It has been confirmed that the Kallak application is being prioritised, an acknowledgement by the Government that the Company has been waiting an excessive period of time for a decision." Prioritisation of our application (and some others) might have been confirmed (although, arguably, the Government's interpretation of what prioritisation means is not necessarily that of the average person); however, not sure this has been linked to our waiting time, or, even if it has, that this acceptance by the Government of their delay will speed resolution.
"The Company expects, and it is reasonable to do so, that a decision will be taken, by the Government, before the summer." The Company might expect the Government to make the decision before summer but why is it reasonable to do so. Has the Government stated that they will give a decision before then?
Kurt Budge, Chief Executive Officer of Beowulf, commented: "As we seem to be approaching a final decision on Kallak". The use of 'seem to be' rather than 'are' is less than definitive.
"....the chance of success for us.....
Good points Paul. Yes, I feel there will be many who are disappointed that Beowulf hasn't gone under. Good. We still leave the Swedish with a problem then, but of course, it is a problem of their own making. The issuance of exploration licences with ease, but without thought of the consequences should something snazzy be found and then JORC proven to be mineable. Lol. If we legally merit the award, which Kurt feels is the case, with nothing specific to prove otherwise offered by those opposed, and the Swedes have acknowledged their flaws in dealing with our application, then our chance of success for us should surely be 100%. Only my thoughts. Cheers Paul.
A big spike?
Just trying to add a bit of excitement. ;-)
They're not bored over there....they're feeling magical and electric, but they're fresher to the course.
there could be a big spike on its way
were is the results for the 20th ,lol
Think we are all wracking our brains as to why this has dragged on for years when logically / lawfully we should have been granted the exploitation licence by now.
My own view is that because Swedes HATE confrontation and accusations of racism etc, in this case the Sami and you can throw in The Greens (no, not the Martians) too, they will just try to ignore the application in the hope Beowulf will go under or simply give up.
Lets hope the 'decision before summer' materialises, else I think you are really looking at court action which nobody wants.
At best I think this is a 50/50 punt regrettably.
So here we are like the pensive Groom waiting at the altar starting to wonder if she (or nowadays he) will turn up. As has been well advertise it's a Summer wedding and the level of expectation and joy is running high amongst the guests. Hopefully the Registrar has all the paperwork ready for signing and the soon the festivities and honeymoon can start.
People may or may not know that in Finland June is called Kesakuu - a literal translation being Summer Month!
He did say if...in a previous interview, from memory....if they understand the application we should be awarded the concession. Wouldn't want to be accused of not telling it like it is, would I.
Can be up and running in 4-5 years.
Juicy, that might be questionable? It seemed precise enough to me:
"The Company is actively communicating with the Government with regards to the Exploitation Concession for Kallak North. It has been confirmed that the Kallak application is being prioritised, an acknowledgement by the Government that the Company has been waiting an excessive period of time for a decision. The Company expects, and it is reasonable to do so, that a decision will be taken, by the Government, before the summer.
Further to the CEO's recent attendance at the seminar in Luleå launching the report on the OECD's Rural Policy Review 'Linking the Indigenous Sami People with Regional Development in Sweden', the Company has been following up with politicians in Norrbotten who have a vested interest in bringing investment to the region. The Company has also contacted groups such as Invest in Norrbotten, Luleå Näringsliv and Luleå Chamber of Commerce, with whom the Company has maintained contact over recent years, and who also seek to attract investment to the region.
The Company is maintaining close contact with the Mayor of Jokkmokk."
I understand your frustration and I think that we LTHs all feel ther same.I do remember back in the mists of time under the CSP admin. a map being displayed showing future mining projects in Sweden with an approximate time frame on each project.Kallak was shown as being planned for 2030 which I thought was strange at the time but looking at the way they are conducting themselves it would appear they are pretty much on schedule and may even get there ahead of time even at this pace.I sincerely hope this is not the case as we appear to have ticked all the boxes.I have searched diligently to find the map again but so far without success.atb.
