This is what BEM wanted, the input from the various organizations that is in favour of a mine. They will all be on the side of the job-creating mine company.
There would be more requests for comments. Eventually you will accept my assessment of this circus. The government have thrown the process out of the window and gone awol. KB has referred rather more obviously to the law this morning, which is now the inevitable path he must take unless he chooses to throw in the towel.
it just goes on and on and on etc
Hold!
We do not want a decision, we want a "yes" decision, and now, every party that BEM wanted involved, is involved: * Jokkmokk Kommun is providing their input (a mine is good on a local scale) * Region Norrbotten is providing their input (a mine is good on a regional scale) * The MI is providing their input (14 years lifespan is BS, and the transportation route should be decided in the next step of the process) And, deadline March 5th. that's pretty tight.
As we’ve suspected... a review of comments. Another tight deadline set
5th candle...
Dear God..... "We will be reviewing all the comments made by interested parties, with our Swedish Advisory Board, and legal advisers, as we prepare another submission. Beowulf (AIM: BEM; Aktietorget: BEO), the mineral exploration and development company, focused on the Kallak magnetite iron ore project and the tvidaberg polymetallic exploration licence in Sweden, and its graphite portfolio in Finland, has received the submissions to Government made by other interested parties, the Sami reindeer herding communities of Jhkgasska Tjiellde and Sirges sameby, the regional council, Region Norrbotten, and the municipality, Jokkmokks Kommun, regarding the County Administrative Board ("CAB") for the County of Norrbotten statement dated 30 November 2017. The Company's comments have also been circulated to the other parties. Each party has an opportunity to review comments and make a further submission to the Government. The deadline for submissions is 5 March 2018. "As we have now entered a procedure of providing comments on other interested parties submissions, it seems as though this process is never ending, but we must trust that the Government is being thorough, objective, and assessing our application in accordance with requirements of the prescribed application process, and Swedish law."
Yes, have tried to translate that on a few translation platforms. It all sounds like a load of old cobblers on each one. Lol. I'm sure the sentiment is in our favour though. Ha ha. Next!
I enjoy the Swedish to English translations....but this one on Avanza has defeated me....like the sentiment though so far as I can make it could. Thanks Mr Zen. "Then together with a Lukrative cam arm building in angered, the future will be secured for all of us. Remember to count on those revenues and see what it can give."
Yes, fair comment Sooz. Good knowledge as well. Cheers. Snowdrops are beautiful.
I travel hopefully, Eric. Planting snowdrops today. Trouble with crocus is they only open up whien the the sun is shining and some springs it hardly ever shines; so snowdrops are more dependable.
BEM is like a crocus. Springs to life in Spring. Howl.
Middleish of March? Stop guessing. Lol.
Go for it ed. We're off to Barbados in a couple of weeks, good 4g coverage, roaming charges 6.00 per day and average Wi-Fi speed of 11.1 Mbps, faster if you're on the south or west coast.
Just given this a bit of thought (lol) as I do and I've come to the conclusion you could probably get away with a quick trip all things considered, be back by the middleish of March though if you don't want to miss anything. But I am looking forward to the Scoping Study hopefully that will be exciting for us... end of February isn't it. Go on...enjoy yourself!
Up a bit today. Is this the start of the recovery or are they just playing the up and down game (again). Our market continues to slumber and the pressure for me to take my wife on another trip to the Caribbean increases by the day. Come on you government chaps, get this sorted so that we can go on holiday and forget about stock markets for a few weeks. I can't afford the cost of a divorce !!
Good posts Tintin. I think Kurt is just grooming the phoenix for a crafty little burst out o' perceived embers. Lol.
I think BEM has died on both sides of the North Sea. Might leave it for a few weeks.
The question was about the 58% in Sweden, who are all small private investors.
..the road? Cos they built him a bridge. Like they do all over the place, even in Sweden. It's called "co-existing"; Some facts and studies / research on wildlife transitions. Works very well and fulfills its function, for example, at LKAB mines have used game bridges since 2011. "Flying of reindeer works very well on all passages except for Harrioja (over E4), but it is not built for that purpose. In other fauna passages, it has been possible to move large reindeer herds, up to 1500 reindeer (at Rtsi)" . "It has also been possible to move the reindeer over the Ecuador at Sangis (across the Haparanda Banana), although it has no trees or steering arms. It has worked to move up to 200 reindeer, but the reindeer think they could move even more reindeer here. At Rtsi where the reindeer had to move over the railways in advance, they had to wait for Trafikverket's staff before they could move over the railroad. With the ecoduct, the combined move has become more flexible, and it is also safer for riders as well as cleaners to move flat. " https://trafikverket.ineko.se/Files/sv-SE/11636/RelatedFiles/2014_098_uppfoljning_av_faunapassager_inom_renskotselomradet.pdf "For six months, researchers watched 9 miles of Highway 93 in the United States to see how big mammals moved across the road. The surveillance cameras revealed that they preferred to use game transitions and that it's more important that transitions are placed properly than what they look like." http://www.natursidan.se/nyheter/ny-studie-viltovergangar-viktiga-for-stora-daggdjur/ "During the evenings, the first racing took place over the felt road. On Tuesday, 27 December, the drive continued. In total, approximately 2,000 reindeer took the walk over the wildlife trail. Samebyn's other reindeer is transported down to the winter work over Kalixfors Airport or by lorries. Laevas Samby Winter Care Area extends from Kiruna to Vettasjrvi and Masugnsbyn. " "Next time the reindeer passes over the game, it's time for wonder and then we're in April-May. Yet in June, Sami expects a number of stretches to pass over the transition." https://www.lkab.com/sv/nyhetsarkiv2/n/Renarna-invigde-viltpassagen-i-Kiruna/?aid=10028
Tobias, the Government needs time to digest the comments it has received from BEO and others. We will seek clarity on timing over the coming weeks. Then when we have information to disclose, we will disclose it to all shareholders. Regards, Kurt.
The exploitation licence will change everything... absolutely transformational. The company isn’t strictly a one trick pony, and Finland is an exciting opportunity. However, Kallak is the reason most invested. We secure the licence, and the company will progress...
Thanks for sharing...
Probably most keep tabs on this but anyway..... Kurt just wrote the following on Linkedin Courtesy of Onlyup on Avanza. Back from 121 Mining Investment Conference in Cape Town. The Junior Mining Sector must be in good health, as 121 had attracted c 100 companies compared to 30 companies when I last attended in 2016. Good to share our graphite and base metals exploration work programs, but frustrating to 'sound like a broken record' on permitting Kallak, which really does not help when you are competing for investor attention. Still a successful few days, and lots for the Beowulf team to do in 2018. You see it's not only this BB sounds like a broken record, lo! There really is nothing else to talk about.
