Over the moon to see things progressing, even if it’s an early preview. I don’t know what everyone is moaning about. I would be concerned if I thought Sir Al was going to be running the supply chain with a spreadsheet.
Whenever anybody talks about competitors, I have checked them out and they have been small fry. I would be worried if Abbott and Roche were rushing something out, 3M talking development is the closest we have got.
Our little minnow is developing through Cytiva, ex GE Healthcare and Whatman, manufacturing through BBI, best in the UK, talking to other manufacturers to meet global demand, and Medusa19 is putting in global e-commerce, logistics and customer support, (and you need customer support for Consumer/lay tests).
I have never bought anything from Boohoo and I never will. I buy from M&S, and Boohoo started in 2006, is now bigger than them. Kamani Is the e-commerce wizz and Richard Hughes was the founder of Zeus Capital and among lots of others, Crawford Healthcare so he knows what MD systems are necessary..
I keep putting more Money into Avacta. The more I see, including the Medusa19 tie-in, the more I believe that this will come brilliant.
I may be wrong, but it is me and a couple of astute billionaire businessmen as well.

Superb LOL
Here's to a good week !

You don't want to do it like that.

My understanding is that any potential manufacturer of the LFD antigen test would have to send off batches to be clinically validated so Medusa saying the branding on the test may differ shouldn’t create a problem.
5.1 interesting saying they are currently experiencing a high volume of demand for the product.
or even 4.1 !!
jdt... on the basis of 4.4 I don,t think I would buy from Medusa.
This is interesting in the T&C's...does that confirm there will definitely be multiple manufacturing partners as we would expect and you will get a LFT with AVCT tech but they may be branded differently depending on who made them?
4.1
The images of the Goods on our website are for illustrative purposes only. The Goods you receive and their packaging may vary from those images. We do not commit to supplying you with Goods from a specific manufacturer or brand owner. Our only commitment is to supply you with a COVID-19 test.
It doesn't even make it clear its for past tense ie. If you have HAD the infection. Hence the confusion on this board over it. Will confuse Jo public even more if they don't get a professional handle on how they describe tests.
'indicating infection'
I thought antibody tests didn't show up infection for 10 days odd ?
This is the way they describe their other test, as an avct investor I don’t like the wording, further I don’t understand how an average consumer won’t be confused.
“Medusa 19 Rapid Saliva Protein Test
Medusa 19 are working with their partner, Medusa 19 Life Sciences, to exclusively bring to market the best in class saliva lateral flow test for early detection of SARS-CoV-2 proteins and highly accurate in identifying the virus in asymptomatic patients.
The Rapid Saliva Protein Test (RSPT) is a simple, non-invasive, on the spot test indicating infection from SARS-CoV-2, the virus underlying COVID-19.
It is a lateral flow test requiring a simple saliva sample, a comfortable and non-invasive collection process, providing rapid results within 10 minutes.
Comparable results with a PCR test for asymptomatic patients but without significant discomfort from throat and nasal swab and considerable delay in results.
94% sensitivity, 95% specificity and 95% accurate”
Not long now

Somebody has spent a lot of time on these t and c's.
I've written to Avacata to ask for a clarification ober the poor wording on Medusa page and conflicting antibody results with PCR. Seemed like an odd mistake when there are antibody results to make like for like comparisons. Sadly I don't have direct contact with Alastair

Someone with a bit more knowledge on this stuff might find this useful, looks like the the account was setup in April but hard to tell if it's a genuine medusa site..
They are still working on site, I went to http://www.medusa19.com/. Clicked on delivery and redirected to https://medusa19.com/
See what next week brings.......
https://medusa19.com/
This site still up
I took screenshots of the site yesterday. The following text has been added in the last 24 hours:
“Under the terms of the agreement Medusa 19 is prohibited from selling any competing COVID-19 rapid antigen test.”
I also notice that the shop links are now dead. Looks like someone has stepped in to put a lid on things and provide investors some clarity.
www.medusa19.com - seems to direct to the right page.
Maybe the www makes all the difference?
understood but that was my point. They ought not to have locked them in to Avacta’s test, given the links etc. Seems to weaken our offering somehow. A commercial point for the parties but if they were well advised they would not have conceded it IMO. They had the bargaining power not to.
A shoddy, half finished, error strewn wordpress website doesn't exactly inspire confidence, I'd be livid if I were Al.
So we have avactas antigen test. An antibody test which I presume will be part of this health passport thing that Saturn are developing.
I reckon medusa life sciences and esp agile life sciences have been setup to take advantage of research and development tax laws. Trying to find more info about this Peter whitehurst guy.
should have added the words "to consumers" in the first sentence.
If my interpretation is correct Voyager exclusivity will prohibit Medusa from selling anyone elses saliva based rapid covid antigen test.
They can sell whatever antibody tests they want.
Avacta Life Sciences Antigen Saliva Test – COMING SOON
Medusa 19 has entered into a distribution agreement with Avacta Group plc, the developer of Affimer® biotherapeutics and reagents, for its COVID-19 rapid antigen saliva test that is currently under development. This agreement provides Medusa 19 with exclusive distribution rights to consumers and non-exclusive distribution rights to businesses.
The test is being developed to use a sample of saliva to indicate whether an individual has the COVID-19 infection and is intended to provide a result within minutes.
